Star Conflict v.1.0.8 Discussion

I expect four people in 11 - 15 ships to be able to handle an 11 - 15 mission. As it is, you are forced to bring specific ships from the higher end.

They can, if they use their brains and don’t go YOLO in the wrong ship.

I hope one day people will understand that PvE is not made to level up ships, is made to get credit rewards.

PvP is where you level up ships.

Yet people don’t do that. That tells me there’s a problem somewhere that hasn’t been addressed.

I levelled from 10 to 15 in pve because it wasn’t possible to get the levels in pvp. Now I just don’t enjoy flying my T4 stuff in pvp so I stick to pve.

But people do? Just because you did not doesn’t mean that no one else does

I can remember when every other progression thread told people to skip T4 because there were no matches. The few friends I have still trying to get to R15 haven’t been keen on high tier pvp either.

Plus, some don’t like pvp. If people just want to fly nothing but pve or invasion, maybe that should be viable for them.

that was 6+ months ago. matches are pretty fast now in peak times in t4, its pretty much the only tier i play now apart from a bit of t3 and sec con

t4 is just as playable as t5 now.

My experience with T5 hasn’t been great either, so that won’t fill me with confidence.

Let’s just put it this way then: they are equally playable, be that good or bad.  My only problem with t4 and t5 atm is that matches are never bigger than 5v5, and when 3/5 pilots on your team are in speed tacklers (happens in both tiers unfortunately) it becomes very bad.

Did you forget that this mission costs nothing, and that you don’t even need to play the game to have it done? What have you smoked? Do you want Gold Standards also as a reward for doing literally nothing?

Koro is overboard with his wishes, but he is right that the missions are not even worth the time to gearup ships to do them. We can get as much (or way more) doing some looting in invasion in just a few minutes. I wish they would expand on those forward fleet assignments and make them meaningful. As they are, we just play dices with out ships for insignificant rewards.

I have to agree with JasanQuinn. The PvE missions have gotten to be too difficult. I understand that they are “doable” and even playable by the elite in the game, but “doable” and “enjoyable” are not the same thing, especially when your not an elite like some of the fine gentlemen posting above.

This “doable” only by the elite is becoming more and more of a trend in this game and it is costing us all…

Lately my corporation has been loosing members left and right. They have been moving on to other games because they no longer find Star Conflict enjoyable.

Many of them saw PvE as a break away from PvP, as a way to keep moving forward when they’ve had enough taking punches from elite players.

I know that my corporation isn’t the only one suffering losses, the queue times speak for themselves.

I understand and appreciate the hard work that has gone in to this game, and I thank the Devs for countless hours of enjoyment.

I’m just asking the question. Why does PvE have to be just “doable” and not “enjoyable”?

Honestly, when you have people like this in your PVE missions:

It’s no surprise people are griping about the “difficulty.”

Heck, some of the missions can be done solo with a few tricks and know-how.

People need a reminder that PVE is about credits, not synergy. And playing “useless” ships for a certain PVE mission/round just gives everyone else headaches.

Yeah, and I hate small games like that. I don’t think Star Conflict works properly below 8v8.

Your main problem is that YOU don’t like a lot of things, but most people playing do, or just try to improve. You just xxxxx in forums. It is a valid option, but…

Yesterday I saw one good thing, two guys with rank 11 and rank 12 ships, squadded with another guy with full r 15 ships for a PvE match. They just squadded because that way it was easier for them. They weren’t in a corp, they just asked on the chat, and they made a squad.

I helped them a bit, and we all did the scenario without losses, except the rank 12 command in the final boss stage.

Ships: Mauler (mostly green, purple lazors) / T-Rex / Lance S / Inquisitor.

That is the way.

Maybe you weren’t paying attention to the ingame poll on preferred game size, but around half of the vote asked for 10+ players per side, and the 4v4 crowd were very much on the losing end of the overall trend.

I prefer 12v12, but I also like fast games and flying tier 5. So 6v6 is a compromise between both options.

Whereas I miss the old 15 aside games and so for me the compromise is 8v8. Player count doesn’t guarantee a good game but I find it helps avoid hopelessly one sided matches.

I don’t often, but I agree with Jasan on this one. One idiot or one disconnect harms your team a lot more in a 5v5 than in an 8v8.

I agree, most of t5 problems would be kinda solved with bigger match (8vs8 minimum).

But in the same time, you are a much stronger and influential force in those small matches

That’s part of the problem. The downhill slide of the game is in part because emphasis went from “be the best team you can” to “be the best solo player you can.” Teamwork, not individuals, should be what wins battles.
