Star Conflict v.1.0.8 Discussion

Until all the new pilots learn the game (that does take a while) and develop game sense, that will be whose team is less worse or whose carry is more carry, allowing you to shape personal flying and gameawareness skill, or, you know, you could play Sector Conquest.

Honestly, when you have people like this in your PVE missions:

It’s no surprise people are griping about the “difficulty.”

Heck, some of the missions can be done solo with a few tricks and know-how.

People need a reminder that PVE is about credits, not synergy. And playing “useless” ships for a certain PVE mission/round just gives everyone else headaches.

I don’t think there are useless ships in PVE, just useless build (ie weapons and modules ill suited for the task). I have used LRFs in PVE for their extra firepower and do rather well with them.

I am going to ask the question … Going on the knowledge\experience of the particular PVE section that you may have.

How many people will base on thier decision on what ship they will use after seeing what others on the team have selected ?

For example if I see there are no Engineer selected… I may choose it even though I really wanted to use my LRF.

Or in some cases another class of ship may be more appropiate… I will use it knowing I have the survival modules in the event there are no all important healing engineer.

LRFs are great for PvE, but not if you stay 10k away from the objectives and just use the desintegrator in that stage.

There are stages (like ice belt stage 1) were LRF with desintegrators are the way to go, while your team defend the sniper while he snipes the missile turrets.

Well, it’s true that not many players bother to check out what the others are using (but i seen it happen). On other hand, we don’t know what modules and weapons they have (unless we have met those players in a previous PVE), sometimes players have weird ideas or play their ships in an unorthodox way (like an Engi with no mass heal). That mean i may pick the ship that should be right but end up not doing the team any good. I also seen players make no efforts to stick in group and end up getting the team swarmed one by one. It’s unfortunate this game has no means to give orders or ask for help (if there is, i haven’t figured it out yet).

Well, that’s true for all the ships we can bring into PVE. An healer or a Command not sticking with the team is just as useless as an LRF sniping in an escort stage. But i seen players do unusual things with their ships and still win the scenario with flying colors. I also seen nearly stock lower rank ships kick xxxx while higher rank ships in the same team were getting mauled by the AIs. Depend a lot of the players and how well they play as a team.

Anyone know when the holes in the harpy ship model are going to be patched up? It’s really disturbing when you know it’s there when you’re flying the ship.

I find PVE perfect for relaxing after bad PVP battles. When the music kicks in and missiles start flying…epic.

no patch today? ;(

:frowning:

I believe they are saving up for a big patch later on.

No turkey day patch?
