The problem is both Ceptors AND clueless Frigate pilots.

 

Ceptors are just too strong against EVERYTHING. Their natural counters are Fighters, yet it’s the exact opposite that happens, most of the times. They are also the natural counter to Frigates, as the devs intended them to be. However… facetorping is what usually kills them.

 

Frigates are Fighters’ natural counter, as well. We all know how that works…

 

And then we have the clueless Frigate pilots don’t even know wtf to do with their massive ships and hp pools, so they just hobble around the map, hoping to not get brutally mangled and torn asunder by everyone else in the map, including friendly fire.

 

The real issue here are the pilots. A good LRF pilot can mangle most of the competition if he’s well placed and ignored enough. It’s not about the ships. It never is. Well, almost never.

I don’t know how it is supposed to be, but in my experience, Interceptors counter fighters, fighters counter frigates and frigates counter ceptors.

 

If find it balanced.

 

The main problem here is that in half of the modes, interceptors can put in good use their mobility to help and carry the team, while frigates are more for a positioning game.

LRF can destroy many, many ships at close range without ever being noticed. If you do get noticed then it is a problem… 3 multipurpose modules ftw…

What can i say dear, after i read this… there is nothing strange why you keep losing and only “omgidontwannadie” mood is nothing good for your team (yes your team in this case)

In any time of the battle you have to decide what you can bring to your team if you want to win (that is not MM issue) but if you “i hate to fly that and that and i don’t want to be sucks in that and that” there can’t happened anything good.

for my team? if you really saw me fly the Interceptors than you won’t say this again…yes…i fly Interceptors bad…

and i play for fun…not for win…i know that some choice will be the best…but you know the most important reasoin i leave wow is those “best choice” everything got a best choice and you have to follow…

and i post that battle is not to complain that the result is we lose…i post that out because even we lose, but i like it…it’s a good fight…i like it…and if i been forced to fly some other shipps that maybe the “best choice” but i don’t like…than maybe we will win…but i won’t like it…it’s not the battle i can got fun… i play for fun not for win…so i hate the “best choice”

 

ps: the reasion i play the SC it’s because the possible and free in the game… i can make the ship to any kind just because i like…not because that is the “best choice”…

But…still…Werss is right…u must play missions accordingly with mission objectives and what ship is suited best for that mission…u must win too…not just to loose…but hey u use what ship u like most…:stuck_out_tongue:

Then sorry but the issue is not the MM. The MM can’t figure out when will u play useful and when not. No stat, no rating can help on this. U have probably all the ships and experience to be a good player and make the game fair. But if u decide no, then the MM can’t help.

beacon game:

SHIPS: LRF+LFR vs speed engi+interceptor 

SR: 9000-9000 vs 5000 5000

based on SR the LRFs will win.

in reality the lrfs has almost no chance…

In T5 there is a lot of small games.

If u decide to be useless with a wrong ship, the team lost the 25% what means the game already imba.

Believe me just a small practice in custom battle and u’ll love the ceptors.

Then sorry but the issue is not the MM. The MM can’t figure out when will u play useful and when not. No stat, no rating can help on this. U have probably all the ships and experience to be a good player and make the game fair. But if u decide no, then the MM can’t help.

i said i like it…at least on that one the MM works great…so…who said the “the issue is the MM” for that battle???

 

yes, i said that the MM has some problem, so the battle gots a clear winner and loser even before it star…and did you really saw which ship i fly in those battles? i always fly the ship that can help my team most or “best” for that battle…but the result???hahahaha…

U have 2 capture, the RDS has 2, the mission is capture the beacon, not to destroy ships. Seems at least u went for the objectives what is good. but u lose the best weapon on the lrf. and with minelayers u just can kill aces.

same here. nice to kill 6 but useless. the 2 cepors died probably on the beacon because there was no engineer.

I played a lot of LRF, my team hated me because I was useless. I had a lot of kills but they lost a lot because of me.
Take almost 3-4 month to partly take down the LRF. That is like the drug, I don’t blame u I was addict too.
The LRF is a nice ship in Combat Reacon (just not as captain), and team battle if u have a team who protect u.
Play together with a tackler and u can kill a lot and win a match.

But never bring it to beacon game. U are slow u are weak, u are useless. The effectiveness is cheating a bit sometime.

LRF is a damage support ship. U can try to use it in a different way, but it will less effective.

I’m pretty sure that Tackler wont last long. Specially if you’re using Pulse Dischargers on your Capacitor… But the fact that you look at the raw numbers of the weapon instead of the whole thing says all we need to know.

The damage you see there is considering the damage reduction. You need to stay 1,3 seconds on target to achieve that damage. Also, thermal is the usual tank in almost all ships now. Good luck with that.

nonono i mean…the number itself it’s too big to like a bug…

just for consultation here is a “Beam Cannon” on T5 long range ship with two “iridium heataink” and with xenon lamp

so a long range only have 4159 dps…but a tackler get a 4267 dps…and that’s why i want to know it’s a bug or be design like that…

i didn’t say how to make it because if it is a bug…than it’s better not to say it out before you guys fix it…already pm you the details.

 

PS: the main point is not the Pulse Dischargers even i use the iridiun heatsink …i still can get 4029 dps so easy…

and…you know that tackler is “rockwell” which is the premium ship…and we all know that compare with free T5 premium ship “lion MK II”  the rockwell is much easy to kill…but just for the sales performance please don’t say it out…lol
