The point is, since we have a better weapon distribution (Kinetic/Plasma/Thermal), Guards can’t handle a push against multiple ships, because with the previous patch, the weapon distribution was rebalanced.
Before, you were able to handle the limited of weapon’s types in battle, now if you catch a guard with 2 players using differents weapons, the guard goes boom 
I will wait next week to see if I start Complaining or Not xD

well i cant fly with my buddy who just joined the game cus its no fun for him in a t2 game… can i tweek my elo points buy equbing lower items or is it fixed i wonder… its sad as i said before u dont see this kind of nursing in other pvp games, there its lerning the hard way. it sadens me that my epix t1s are now kinda useless…wonder if my t2 full epix will end up in t3 battels…i think it scewes with mach making and we get crappy small games 3players and 2 bots dukeing it out…if we que 4 guys its gg it neva happens…u just wait in space…then we go bf3 instant war go go go…

This game “nurses” players because of the smaller-than-average player based compared to other big games. What new player wants to be stacked against a player of a higher tier?
AFAIK, the game only restricts players with high skill ratings from queuing for T1. It works with SR not ELO.
Also, of you were smart you wouldn’t have bought T1 premium ships. Buying content means you are planning to stick around. If you plan to stick around why would you buy T1 if you wanted to progress? You have no reason to whine and complain.
If you want to get a squad against you, advertise in the chat. You could find a friend from a different corporation to squad against you as well. Also in T3 you shouldnt be getting 3v3 w/ 2bot matches. I live in NA so I expect small matches but not 3v3 in T3.

Considering how crazy niche this game is, and how high the learning curve is for someone who is new to the style (or even someone who isn’t) it seems reasonable to shelter players early on. Learning to play should be as fun as playing it if you’re the one of the best at it.
Glad to see new portraits, by the way! A friend of mine was asking about them earlier, was happy to tell him there were new ones!

I would actually buy one if they were about half the price they are now or go on sale. Otherwise, I just have observations. Jericho ones look really cool, I’ve read the lore recently so I can identify most of them but you guys should probably label them with popup tooltips that tell you what faction the pilot is from, such as the Jericho ones being Jericho CyberPilot, Empire Legionnaire, stuff like that.

I’m not sold on most of them. I don’t think that they fit very well, but that’s mainly because I like the avatars to look like pilots. Most of the new ones don’t have helmets, and we can’t see anything on their clothes or in the background to suggest they’re actually flying. #17 is the obvious exception, being the only portrait in either set that’s clearly a helmetless pilot. But I’m not a fan of pink hair. Now if she were a true red head… :004j:
I think the girls look very nice, but I agree with everything JasanQuinn says about them not looking like pilots. Also for some reason it seems the two sets of portraits were made by different artists, so they do not fit together? I don’t really know how to explain it…
It would also be nice if the portraits were organised by faction.

A guard can have good resistances. Most of the Jery. guards have three shield slots.
No one ship is going to breakup a frigball, because the frigball is not one ship itself.

I’d like to give you a girl’s perspective regarding the female pilot portraits.
My first impression is that they need a touch of badassness. More dark colors, more red, more dark purple and black to give you an example of my taste. Pink and light colors (such as the light blue backrgound) for girls is overrated if you ask me.
I think it is a very nice and thoughtful gesture that you added female portraits, though I would like to see more variation to the portraits; colors, backgrounds, details, symbols - anything that gives the portrait more than just a pretty face with different hair colors.
Lastly, I’d like to thank you for a great and fun game. :012j:
Developers! Regarding matchmaking…
I think that matchmaking in general PVP should be like this:
Only allow ships from the tier that you are in, and allow ships from the highest rank from the last tier. Eg: I have a machete, an axe x, and a zealot. The machete is allowed to be flown, because it is in its tier. The axe x is allowed because it is a rank 3, a ship from the highest rank from the last tier. The zealot is not allowed because it s a rank 2 ship, a ship NOT from the highest rank of the last tier.
This is so that you can bring your strongest, fully equipped and well synergised ships from the last tier to get a taste of the next tier. If you have a strong, familiar ship from the last tier as backup, it makes the next tier less scary.
The power difference between a full synergy rank 3 and a no synergy rank 4 is small. It probably won’t affect the gameplay much.
Also, do not allow the bots to bring T3 ships to a T2 fight. Make the ships locked to the tier, and one rank below. I have died many times from a bot who is flying a T3 interceptor.
By the way, if this was what the patch notes was saying, I did not comprehend it because I am slightly coo-coo for cocopuffs.

But: It’s always been possible to bring ships from lower Tiers (restricting this was part of this latest patch). I.e. your highest ship determines the Tier you play. But when you enter T3 with your first R7 ship, nothing stops you from filling your remaining lineup slots with R6 ships (or lower). In fact, many players fly ships of much to low rank, in the false assumption that flying low rank ships in high tiers will improve their synergy gain.
The latest patch simply prevents you from bringing ships more than 4 ranks less (and only for the Beacon Capture mode).
I do think there should be some sort of system to allow squads to get a game in lower tiers regardless if there is another squad, as many new players seem to buddy up then wait 10 minutes for no game. Perhaps you could filter it by max rank attained, fleet strength or the new rating so that you don’t get 4 man 100 fleet strength squads in T1. So that only new players are allowed to bypass the “opposing squad” rule that currently stops them playing because there are no other squads in T1 etc.
what the he$% did you change about matchmakin exactly? apparently it has the side effect of making absurd matchups at least in tier 2. ALL and i underline all matches played in the last 2 days have had odds insanely stacked on 1 side. what i mean is 1 side has all the new players with absolutely xxxx builds and the other side gets all the clan players with maxed out ships. thats absolutely apalling balance since the result is always a massacre. just had a match where 2 of my team just decided they will afk on the spawn point discussing why they melt in 2 seconds and cant do any dmg back. i looked their stats and they had silly low amount of games. looked enemy - 2 players from rqge, 2 from evouc and some other names i cant remember with very high stats, score and maxed ships. looked back on my team - only i am in a clan and im quite new rest had stupid builds and score. this happens EVERY match for the last few days. just please look into it and dont insta dismiss my argument. it brings a big deal of sorrow to play those matches.
edit: every now and again i have the luck to be on the stacked team, needless to say its another masascre.
