Federation ships + adaptives = Solves everything, well mostly.
T4 and T5 still suck IMHO and are in imbalance. It makes no fun anymore to fly it.
Only with big ships. With smaller ships a very good fitting (Mk 3+) seems mandatory.
T4 is the most balanced tier in the game. It is almost perfect (just needs more players). T5 is very unbalanced tho imo, I have stopped playing t5 skirmish for the time being and will play t3/t4/SQ instead

T5 is all about ecm spam and the rank 13 - 14 implants.
T4 is more fun as Alex said
r11 Eagle is the best ship:D it is like the kite/grey falcon of t4
I don’t have it so I can’t give feedback about it but it looks like a nice ship. I’d still choose Eagle-M over it, I like it more than the Golden.
Seems T4 is liked more than I thought, I will have to start getting some T4 ships equipped and mk4’d

I don’t believe T4 is more balanced than full T3 (except that R10 are not as weak as R7 in T3), but atm. hardly any t3 games are played with full equipment, and to enjoy T3 you gotta have the golden ships / dlcs; I would rather say, they are very similar in balance.
T5 on the other hand is seccon and secsweep and specops mainly. with all the secret project ships, the extreme skill gap in the population, and the implants… it’s usually not so funny.
had a lot of great t4 games tho in the last month, and it is a tier where you can play with not fully synergized ships or green modules, without feeling you are completely useless. but when it comes to public skirmish, i think its hard to judge atm. anyway, since most games are about “who is in my team” rather than “which ships do they take”…
Fun thing is that in tier 4, all the premium ships are not that good vs the rank 12 counterparts. In fact, I found myself flying the King Nibelung lately instead of the leonina, and the Eagle M instead of the konkistador.
Tiger M and tiger 2 are really good ships, and Grizzly M is much more competitive than the Pollux.
So you don’t need golden ships to be good. (you don’t need them in tier 3 either, but the range is more limited)

You misunderstood me. I dont have issues to finalize any tier.
I have only a bunch of ships left which I never flew much and now want to level in terms of synergie.
These are all ships which are not my 1st choice for neither PVE nor PVP … but I want to level them.
While doing that I discovered that some difficulties which I described.
So its not that I do not know how to fly pve etc …
PVP in Tier 1-3 is simply much more simpler no matter what ship I take.
Other example, in T3 pve I can i.e. solo the last stage in an engy.
In T4/5 pve you have merely a chance if you don’t take a more tankier ship, otherwise its impossible
to fully compensate the issue, that in T4 and T5 many people are flying without good fitting and/or knowledge about the mission.
Things like this I regard as an imbalance. But your mileage of course may vary.
I’m seeing that lots of people now like T4… so no one has the problem of tackler spam in T4 and ECM spam in T5?

Is t4 really that worthwhile? I was under the assumption that most people skipped over t4 to play t5 and that t4 queues were rather empty.
Maybe I should work on mk4ing some t4 ships, another month+ of grinding then.

judging by forums and within our corp, majority English population did skip it, but quite a few russians are in T4.
