The Devs try to con you out of GS every time you die in PvE. They are being charged for with real money.
no, you can create them with salvage loot practically for free. all ingredients are pretty common even in lower tier loot.
there is nothing wrong with having a GS option for something which is actually easy to acquire by either invasion or by investing credits; the biggest upside of GS duplicators is, that you can buy them after you died.
Or they could stop pretending this is an arcade machine and let people come back to life for free like a normal game company does.
They do, but you are too stubborn to accept it and keep complaining about the same stuff over and over and over, even if people tell you what to do, like building duplicators for credits and materials. Or just don’t die.

Just don’t die? Great solution! You know, I’d never thought of that before! I always thought you were meant to self destruct after two minutes!
Oh, man, would you hate my guts, then. On Blackwood, I only use a Guard, Gunship and LRF. Engineer when no one else fields one on the 3rd stage.
no, i wouldn’t. the guard is okay, also blackwood is a good map for gunship/lrf if used with main weapons. the nav stations are big (good for HB) and the gunship can kill them quick, too. also the boss is big and thus easy to hit with the HB. so it probably is the best pve-map for bringing an LRF. also, even if you die as predicted, i like doing blackwood alone :3 can be real fun
but in processing rig (especially round 3) for example an LRF is totally useless.
sure, if the player knows what he does (what randoms usually don’t) he can make use of an LRF in Captured Dreadnought (2nd/3rd round) with his main weapons. but still, a guard would be better, at least in the control of a random
What about missiles have to be loaded in the cartridge after each salvo is launched? Like World of tanks autoloaders. You have enough missiles to last all the battle, but you can only ready 6 of them in the tube launchers. Easy and realistic.
That would imply missiles would perma-reload. As in, you fire one and it immediately starts reloading the one you just fired. And so on, and so on, until you have none left, but they’re slowly loading in, not having a magazine of 6 out of thin air.
the old dual ammo system was well over powered man come on, it is much better without it, weapons actually have a counter now and are relatively balanced
Yes, it was, but I want the ability to switch between two of the existing ammo types. Same with missiles. You know… having a TACTICAL advantage, instead of spaming everything on everyone.
Thanks to the stickers contest, I win between 100 and 200 gs per day without doing anything (It’s really cool to log-in with 6+ mail with GS inside everyday ). The tournament recently gave 45k GS to the winners. There’s contest that give 4-8k gs very often. Find me another game that give such a big reward for ‘nothing’.
YOU earn them, no one else does! And, to actually win those tournaments, you have to be in the top AND be in the winning, participating team. Then again, 8k GS, in this game, is peanuts. You get NOTHING out of it, unless you’re in T2, tops. Everything above that costs 20 quid a pop.

6 month license = 3k gs
the 3 crew = 6 k gs
t3 ships = 4k gs (2k under sale)
paint jobs = 120 - 250 gs per layer
Duplicators = 200 gs
Resources bundles = 340 gs
t5 Spacial scanner = 6k gs
…
The only thing you can’t afford with 8k gs is t4/t5 ships without 50% sale.
Seriously, Destroy, you are talking like anyone fresh out of T2 could win these tournaments if they tried. In reality, it’s a high-end set of players who win them over and over; you need to be in the top 10% just to have a chance, let alone claim the prize.

Yeah, I was trying to get to that point, but I was also gonna grind him a bit. Sarcasm is hard to convey over the internet.
I’m sorry, but… how often are these tournaments you speak of?..
I’m speaking about the weekly contest that give 6k gs that require absolutely 0 skill from the game.

Tournaments, Ok. But I was mainly speaking about contest that we have each week or two.
Oh, you mean the bull**** contests they only advertise on the ruskie forums but then suddenly remember there’s an English forum, as well, so they decide to translate and slap it here when it’s 2-3 days until the contest is over?
Don’t get me wrong, at least that one they decided to post in advance but still, for those of us with no drawing capabilities, we have no shot at getting those 6k.

Recently we had tons of contest.
Look, new post of Hwistler : Stickers contest round 2.
And they never said that it’s the most beautiful drawing that will win. You can do something fun as usual.
All those drawing contest… I feel like it’s Christmas for me. #LoveDrawing
The duplicator certainly matters, and once again Plants vs Zombies helps emphasise what.
PvZ is very team-focused. Moreso than Star Conflict. In PvZ you can revive allies in both pvp and pve modes. In pve players can also self-revive up to three times in a match using duplicator equivalents (reviving an ally doesn’t count toward this) and you can also get items that revive the ENTIRE TEAM if you get wiped out. That game hammers home the idea you are working as a team and rewards you for doing it.
Now look at Star Conflict. You can’t revive allies, only yourself. Matchmaking discourages people from flying in squads and often rewards people for not helping the team (LRF anyone?). Invasion Mode doesn’t have teams and likes to split squads across instances.
Why is a class-based shooter NOT encouraging and rewarding teamwork? Why is a class-based shooter fixated on solo pilots doing their own thing? My guess is simple; it’s harder to squeeze money out of people when strong players can carry the weak.
This is why I despise the duplicator mechanic so much. If it was a failsafe, an extra for when your team can’t ressurect you, then fine. But when they removed resurrection to use the duplicator to increase grind and con people out of GS then it is totally unacceptable.

You are wrong again…
You can revive your team mates in PvE and Invasion (squad only) with a duplicator. A manufactured piece which is free or can cost you 200 gs, at your choice.
