Attack of the disappearing posts again. Funny that.
The grind ls sooo damn high, i think we will not see ESB in PvP for the next few weeks.
i do hope thats a joke… every mmo is ruined by the clans/corps that by far exceed the power above all other rivals… rendering game unattractive for casual players. who loves to play every match just to loose without a chance?
200k to change contract??? this is too much, how are new players supposed to change contract? if their maximum ship is r6 for example, they cannot pass through the middle of invasion to get to a new hanger and 200k is crazy money to swap to a new contract at that level
As I’ve said, it’s blatantly monetising new people via Pay to Win. Want to be able to compete with people who have Mk III or Mk IV gear? PAY UP!

Once again, how is paying with credits pay to win? I still cannot understand it.
Because 200K is a shitload of money for new players, who are basically being forced to now choose between swapping factions to upgrade gear, or buying a new ship. The only reason for that pay barrier to exist is to slow people’s progression with an arbitrary money sink, and the only reason to do that is to beat people’s head into a pay wall.
- Moving to one pay-booster and one credit booster, and per ship - why change something that worked!? Don’t you see, nobody will spend money on these things, they are too damn expensive!
just came ingame and noticed that: it just sucks. why take away one useful boost? not only was it helpful, it also was kind of a credit-sink
also pve is as bad as it has become last week, why is there no change? noone likes this system, it was great how it was before and you just fucked it up
Just adapt to what the devs are doing. If you don’t like it then leave, just like Snib. Simple
looked again at the golden ships, also realized even tho the boosters are next to the ship, they are still for all ships.
i liked the old design where you could fill both boosters with credit items more. since this is also indirectly a nerf in a way
also it feels kinda empty there. just glad i dont have ocd.
however, looking closely at those ships, i can’t agree that they are “weaker” in every case.
in my RFblaster hands, the golden eagle e.g. would be a damage monster.
have to add another +: giving at least some T4 blueprints to the general population was a good decision.
not sure about RT nerf. it definitely is nerfed now… still would have prefered a real counter to it.
only wanna know what happened to A1MA

nobody needs advice like this. this is a discussion. not something where we take sides.

I guess thats what a new player in a Dverg will do. Download the game get in, play a few matches, next day someone explains how factions work, he sees the price (has no perspective on how income might change) and leaves. GG

Seems you haven’t spotted the problem.
This game needs an influx of new blood. Quite a big one, frankly. However, it also needs that new blood to get to the higher tiers (at least tier 4), to learn some skills and to be competitive.
Now, if players are being driven away by terrible grind, pay to win design (which this game is riddled with) and general bad management of the product, we won’t see the influx of T4 pilots we need and the game will struggle like hell.
Too much time and money was wasted in Invasion mode. The focus should have been on making the PvP and PvE experience as tight as it can get.
I do agree that “pay not to grind” or “pay to win” is boring and crappy. And the thing this game needs is more players and more balanced fights… Yep, heavy Corpo can be “irritating” sometimes…
(so +1 to Jasan, +1 to g4borg mostly)
So, I don’t know how to balance the game (fix matchmaking ??, prevent high ratio from playing lower tier unless in a squad with low ratio player??) but in order to “help” new players :
- what if a Corpo, through internal “trading” could give some money, equipment, modules, weapons to new players of the corpo ?
- Or mentors to their recruit?
Could be a (small) incentive for new players…
You aren’t understanding what I am saying. If the game refuses to be responsible with it’s players then it deserves to die. If it refuses to pay attention to players and the feelings of players it deserves to die. If you want to put up with a game that doesn’t care about you then it’s your fault. Just don’t get worked up.
What new players need is essentially twofold. Either
A) There should be minimal advantage to high-Mk gear high-tier ships and having high/full synergy.
or
B) Progression should be fast so you don’t get stuck with weak gear for long.
If you look at games like Call of Duty, it can take months of play to hit top rank, but you are only “weak” for a small amount of time. Space Marine had it right in my opinion; the only players who were truly useless were Rank 1 (of 41) players. By the end of your first hour of play you should have all three classes unlocked and enough weapons to be able to build a class that is strong if used correctly. The rest of the rank tree was just about unlocking new toys to give you more build options.
That kind of progression is good, and I think people can and do accept the idea of starting weak in that because you become strong very fast, and stay strong throughout.
Here, you start weak and stay weak. Unless you pay real money or grind a lot, you’ll never really be strong. Each time you change tiers you become weak again, and the grind to get strong in that tier is even longer than the last one. It’s bad design and people have said this for years.
But it’s not a Beta anymore, so this begs the question; why wasn’t it fixed DURING beta?
This is coming from a player who was looking forward to crafting the Mjolnir, only to discover that I now have to grind up the Empire tree from Tier 2…
Seriously?!
I mean… who the hell is not leveling all three factions? O-o
You can dissasemble mark 2 items. I have zounds of those
Goond thing I just recently sold like 50 that I didn’t use to free up inventory space…
Soon I will have my Octopus, and you will call me OctoRakza !

You aren’t allowed to own an Octopus. It’s not a Guard.

Fast frig with 3x hull and 3x adaptives can be called guard
just like Styx
New fighter engine:
Reduces maneuverability by 17% when NO AB active
Reduces maneuverability by 80% when AB active
that fighter engine will be quite interesting.
also, the engine eats up energy each time you activate the AB besides the effects. this means fighters with this module will rely on AB for movement, and no AB for close combat. I actually see potential there.
after a long walk outside i admit, T5 premiums sound okay especially if more secret projects would expand T5; however the alien monocrystal price is quite high, especially since there is no kind of trade in open world and you only get them afaik by daily missions.
