Congratulations on making it out of Beta! There were serious doubts for a good year.

why do you want blue mods on t1? just play up to t2/t3 with green stuff. i played with mostly green stuff up to t5 and now with the big(ger) contracts i’m upgrading some small ships

 

I want blue mods in t1, because they are there. You have to fly against other players with purple stuff, so i want to be competetive in that tier.

I don’t want to rush to t5, i just want to max each tier as i progress.

Might sound stupid, but that’s how i want to play.

200k for switching contracts is to much for low tiers in my oppinion.

Maybe the cost for switching contracts could scale with the maximum level you have achieved in that faction?

the decision to give the engine module only to t3 and t4 is actually brilliant.

Looks nice, a federation Gunship frigate. You have the same survivability, speed, size and agility than one.

Overall i like this game.  I even spent money on it, and for what it’s worth I don’t regret it one bit.  It offers something for everyone.  Sure there’s aspects I don’t like, and some I really do.  But at the end of the day I find my self playing SC more than any other game, when it works.  

The only thing that really frustrates me is the server designation.  How long have we been telling the SC team about how broken it is? (For many, but not all.  I hear it mostly from US players like my self.)  

 

The bottom line that determines weather or not I continue to play this game is simple.  It comes down to playability.  I would rather get 3 matches per hour that I can play -vs- 10 per hour that I can’t.

 

Why am i STILL being repeatedly thrown onto a server half way around the world giving me ping ranging from 250 to over 1,000 and packet loss spikes up to 30%? 

 

For PvP, this seems to be about 50-75% of the time.  

 

For Invasion. . .  LOL!  Forget about it!  99% of the time I’m on RU server and live in US. 

 

I want to play devs, I really really do!  So, make your game effing playable already and maybe ease back on your marketing schemes.

Holy xxxx yeah i love the mechanic, it gives close to 0 maneuvrability when afterburning but awesome speed. LOVE IT

suddenly tacklers and gunships with the module and without turn into two teams…

crazy people might even go with command in this

 

it’s not unkillable, but it gives the game a new perspective

Mkay so things i noticed on the forum yesterday and are not true. 

You need 200’ish crystals to craft a ship, not 500 as people were saying. 

Boosters still apply to all ships, not to 1 ship, as people were complaining. They just made them separate tho, GS boosters and Credits boosters.

Just wait someone drop Heavy Guard Drone (T3 and T4 only, why? I dunno). Remember christmas ornament beacon guard drones? It use the same model, almost half of size of my Paralax :smiley:

Just to craft the 5 internal structures of the octopus you need 125. If you want 3 hull slots, you need another 162. And you still need to fill the rest of passives. 500 is a good number.

My confusion comes from the fact that i thought you need 3 internal structures for 3 hull slots for example, but that’s not true is it. You need about 9 internal structures for 3 hull slots. Ah crap. 500 is a bit too much. 

The update is great. There are some very interesting things.

 

But I dont really dont like the cancelation of ship reconstruction. It is a good thing, especialy in open space, where you need your buddy back in fight ASAP,  and I think that is a bad idea to cancel it.

 

The duplicator purchase window totaly diserrupted the spectrator mode, that i s also very bad.

 

But Othervise the update is good. I am looking foward to dreadnaught and also I am awaiting the new players to improve matchmaking.

The game as a whole is pretty nice and polished, for example I find fast-paced interceptor much more playable nowadays somehow, and that’s great, and contracts are automated which is much better. However, big flaws like “bad pve” and “too grindy” make for huge disappointment and many bad experiences.

 

pve bots still have 100% aim or close to that upon release… this has ruined my experience in invasion mode. 

I’m sure there is a valid reason for it, be it discouraging lone wolfing/encouraging squad play, or simply lazy coding; bots still feel as though they behave like zombies, literally making a B-line for the player spamming attacks. Particularly annoying regarding aliens. They can fly in unison, until you aggro them, that’s all I noticed. …great… that to me, looks like lazy coding.

 

The game’s main content still seems to be T3 matchmaker pvp anyway, from what I saw. 

I would go into more meticulous detail about what I believe makes this game good/bad but, I can’t be arsed, I doubt people really care, and I doubt it would pay off as I doubt most of the data in these threads is passed onto the development team, just the highlighted/most discussed subject, so I may as well let someone with more passion/status for/in this game endeavour over whatever issues are considered contemporary.

I am awaiting the new players to improve matchmaking.

You will not see anything different because they removed the player/battle counters. <_< Very smart.

 

 

 

 

How does that feel energy wise? Empire gunships aren’t very energy stable but that ship has pretty decent energy stats. Also maybe Cheetah 2 would do better than Gigas 2 there considering the already insane resistances?

Inty gun rework really helps, finally the scharpnel becomes a good option, it sucked to have the worst DPS while being very hard to aim and impossible to do max damage against other inty.

Empire LRF nerf, well done, i hate thore things always spawnkilling frigates in open maps.

Sucks to see my beloved Jericho LRF nerfed though, it allready had bad survivability compared to empire ones, and the guided torp still has only one function, short range supression, it has such a low damage output that most players do not even use the torp for that as it decreases your damage output even at short range while being inferior to main long range gun at long range, but hey, as long as the Empire one gets a nerf i can live with it, lets just say No pain, no gain.

US server match, lag is bad for the other team and for Tillo, psyco and Mira. Dunno why we got US server, same thing happened when we queue for RU server during DNO wing match o.o

The crafted ecm have cocoon that only last 45 sec, 15 sec less cooldown than a regular ecm.
