Time to grind for a T3  Jerico LRF for me it seems.  :Dwop

If anybody was wondering a T3 Prem ship with a basic license would earn somewhere around 10-11k synergy per win and about 1k of that being Free Synergy.  So now you should be earning 2k synergy per win in your Prem ships.  

 

It’s a step in the right direction though personally I think the bonus should be around 30-40% Free Synergy.  This would bring synergy rewards to a little below what you would make on a normal ship if you lost the game.

maybe it just means the synergy was doubled, so that’s where the 20% is coming from…

In last patch you modified the way to unlock ship’s tree by synergy, and the best way is to use a ship before unlock the next. godd idea, really!

And after that, lol, I just have to take my favorite “ubber maxed ship” to unlock easier the others anyway with my GS. hmmmmmm. greeeaaaaat! xD

 

And for killing team play : the squad of 3… wouaaaaaa, wonderfull men!

You think is better (easier way?) than modify matchmaker for more balance?

 

And, now my ship have better view on the side than the front ?Did you discut of that with Su27 pilots ? xD I’m sure is agree with that !

 

Why no interceptor bonus/ECM nerf ? and why my fregates have no bonus, poor weapons and be shot down by a couple of ceptor?

 

Day after day, patch after patch, the hope for a very good game going far, far, far away…

Boom. That right there Antibus encapsulates everything that has upset me about the recent changes. It is not so much the actual changes itself, but the logic and thought behind them.

That is an incredibly lazy solution from a design standpoint. It is not the playerbase’s fault, yet now it is up to us to deal with it, even if it is only temporary.

 

Why would anyone want to make it more difficult for people to play with their friends? Their friends are what is bringing them back to continue playing the game! Why not take the time to do things right and make it a simple, fluid process for the user?

Why not just make it so a group of four can queue PVE and if they tried to queue for PVP it would not let the squad enter queue? Did the programmers run out of time? Run out of time like how the singularity cannon was pushed out without full animations? Why not just take the extra time to make it complete and when it is ready, release it?

I guess, I have to make it clear, it is just my guess, and definetly no conspiracy, the limitation of squad members is to restrict the power of the so called “Elite Squad”.

 

Sometime people complain about when they saw a Elite Squad from coporations like NASA, ESB, nova, TSK, they will gain confidence if they are alliance and frustration if they are not. I saw lots of people just disconnected when they met those squads during battle because they loss hope and knowing that they cannot win.

 

And in this time, by making this nerf, you cannot bring that" recon+ecm+engi+gunship" combo to carry the whole team. losing one component might constrain the power of those pilots.

 

although they will still be powerful, but they will not less invincible and would be able to kill since lack of reinforcements. (I saw some beginners complained that they had been kill by *** squad more than 10times during the match but was unable to shot down anyone of that squad since they have nice teamwork. And he seems got so angry and start to say some inpolite words in the global channel.)

 

so although this nerf looks like totally none sense at the first glance, I think it did solve some problems or at least the devs are trying to solve those problems.

Hopefully this won’t mean that old T2 style “half the team flies jericho snipers and your most important task in the game is running away from massive jericho torpedo spam that just won’t stop” of game play is going to make comeback and enter all tiers. Because that would be just plain stupid.

 

Than again, someone was posting that we need a noobtube in the game. That would in fact make for a perfect COD kiddies weapon. Zero skill to use, can kill anyone.

Yep, sounds like frigates in particular are free kills now (even more than they already were).

Not sure whether I’ll get more free kills by going for enemy LRFs now or by killing all those sure to be coming for ours… decisions decisions… :wink:

Everybody will probably be LRF or interceptor. Doesn’t make much sense to be anything else.

I can already imagine a game with both sides trying to protect their lovely    lonely LRFs.  :crazy:

we already have one. its called singularity. and the video was the xtra credits thing the dude on the boat keeps posting ;p

Very little has been done to fix existing problems that are at the forfront of the communities minds … Yet again, another Patch that will anger many of the loyal existing players.

 

I don’t even think there is anything else that needs to be said - Except where the hell did you guys (Dev team) get your feedback and stats from ? Because it DIDN’t come from anyone who actually plays this game ???

Yes, I did say we needed a noobtube equivalent, but I also explicitly stated (or rather, the video did) that more experienced players should be able to grasp higher-skill weapons which - in turn - are generally more effective by a good degree.

Double Jericho LRF / Tackler

but not free synergy? wait, does this apply to premium ships? and if they earn double synergy, does that mean 20% free synergy on prems is actually 40% free synergy because of the doubling effect?

Free synergy is 5% of total synergy, so if you gain twice as much synergy, you gain twice as much free synergy too… Logic sometimes…

 

 

I’m really glad about the squad changes, 4 people on a 10/12 people team game was quite unbalanced.

I strongly disagree on this. 

Reason:

Friends are now gonna be broken up. Corps have to reform top squads. The problem with going into battles in turns will still be there. there is so many things wrong with this. One thing that is really bad, is that it feels that the team aspect is being taken out. Luckyo, my good friend, told me some good advice. Anything above T4, requires extreme coordination. you can still win a fight verses a T5 ship when you have good teams, now with a missing member, I dont see how this helps anyone.

 

 

 

Matchmaker
Ships of 10-11 ranks now have reduced probability of getting into battle with ships of ranks 13-15

 

About time. Mabye we will not see any MM woes anymore. Good for you devs. You got a +1

 

Camera

You can now adjust the camera’s maximum distance

Some weapons' range now scales with ship tier:
T1: range is 90%
T2: range is 100% (basic range)
T3: range is 115%
T4 range is 125%
T5 range is 135%

now you have even MORE reason to move up a teir. As of this day. JP is going T4. 

Shrapnel Cannon:
Damage increased by 5%
Range increased by 18%

Oh crud guys. You know what this means? YA’LL gonna feel the power of the cinnamon Sputter! 

Guided Torpedo:
Now has immunity to the anti-missile modules on Guard ships

Wow, the devs listened to us. I expect everyone to at least say “thanks” on every post for this one change.

Now, upon achieving maximum synergy, ships earn double the amount of synergy.

This is still not helping anyone that has a bunch of synergy to convert to free synergy. I say a simple change of making the conversion ratio of 1 GS = 500 synergy. I will not over complain or describe further on how much I dont like synergy and how much of a grind this game is. 

 

In conclusion. great patch. The devs get +2 for listening to 2 suggestions but get a -4 for bringing in new changes that nobody wanted. Though, this patch is an important one, as teams and games will be alot different now. Good luck everyone!

ECMs, Guards, and some of the other things you have mentioned will be addressed in further patches.

Do not expect much for guards Guys, They Broke them cause of frigballz, Only Insane players Still fly them (Or players who expect to fly a more tanky ships).
