There’s always the simple fix to this patch.

Do like in WarZ and leave the game for something else.  I did. Only way the company will respect your opinion.

Except that logic flies in the face of what a company is trying to do. When told “I don’t want your product” do you know what we call a company who says “Okay, bye!”? We call them a failing company. No company ever wants to turn away custom, and if they are flippantly ignoring those who walk away from them, then they will struggle to survive long term. Even if you can’t win those people back, you need to be able to understand why they left to ensure fewer people leave in the future.

Most companies will send a questionnaire to you when you cancel a service with them, so they can see why you did so, because paying less or stopping paying is the strongest statement you can make to them. Almost every company from your water and electricity providers to game companies will do this.

When that contract is about to expire, ring up your provider and tell them you don’t want to renew because you’ve found a better deal elsewhere (it helps if you really have just in case). Odds are, your current provider will magically pull a series of discounts out of thin air that they’ve never offered you before. Do you know why they do this? Because if they take “Okay, bye!” as you suggest, they are losing your custom. If they keep you on a cheaper contract they still earn more than if you are allowed to walk away.

 

Try it, or get your parents to try it, and you’ll be amazed how few companies work the way you think they do.

I’m 32. I lived on my own since I was 19, when I moved over 200km from all relatives to study for my degree. Unlike on TV shows, most of the time customer support will simply tell you thanks for feedback and hang up. Your feedback will be properly filed into nearest trash bin as they get to serving the actual paying customers. Source: I worked as IT support for several larger companies in different fields while still studying for my degree in university. This work included work on customer support systems.

 

Some overly competitive areas such as certain types of retail, or cellular operators will generally not do this. But vast majority of industries where competitive situation is not extreme, this is what will happen if you decide to play hard to get kind of a customer. It’s simply more profitable to send a customer like you to the competitor to drain his resources, while your company focuses on more profitable clients.

I have to agree with Luckyo on this one. Ive worked tech and customer service and collections… And hes right… Here in the states most cable companies and electric etc, have zones, so you cant really pick but 2 of them, and if one raises rates, the other tends to as well. 

In the cellular market though… quite true… it costs multitudes more to get a customer, than to give a current one a discount to keep him with you.

Guys, come on. We’re supposed to be discussing the patch, not phone bills.

ok so back on topic …

 

The camera is still xxxx … the community wants the old camera back. Are you going to continue to ignore us? DO NOT tell us you made it better and “fixed it for balance” because it is BS. We don’t like it, we have made it VERY clear it SUCKS and we want to changed back. there was NOTHING wrong with it before. Don’t fix things that are not broken.

 

Loot is even worse … I am currently playing mostly tier1 and have only 1 tier2 ship so far. Doesn’t matter if I play a T1 PVP or PVE the loot sucks HARD! Same goes for T2 fights. I have not received a single item from the new chance system. NOT ONE ITEM … got that devs? it SUCKS real hard.

 

Every other ship I use has a special ability I use by pressing the “F” key by default. on the Engineer frig I could deploy my drones this way when or as I needed. But oops … stealth nerf I log in one day and BAM … its gone I can no longer control my drones, they come out when they bloody well please to do so. Great … thanks for taking away yet more stuff!

 

 

Jericho Frigs need their torps back. Seriously they are useless fat slow pigs now. If I’m flying anything even a little bit fast I leave them until I kill their escorts then come back to kill them. Thanks to the screwed up camera they cant do anything once your in their blind spot … good job Devs way to ruin a ship completely. That was my primary ship I flew before you nerfed it out of the sky. That is whole type of support removed and a part of game play ruined for no good reason.

 

And tied to the camera is the field of view. that needs to be a user selectable option like most other games on the market these days. Not only have to limited the zoom which sucks hard by itself but the field of view is sucking hard as well.

 

The negatives FAR outweigh the positives … you should just go back pre .8 and start over … only this time get the communities input FIRST. not wait until you have pissed off a majority and cause all this uproar due to your arrogance AND ignorance.
