Well, another monstrosity from the MM.
Just a few minutes ago, i was 2-man squading with T2 ships to level them up for the “bonus fleet strenght” and we were put in a battle against 5 ppl from the same corp (SCORP) and all of them were flying T3’s.
So antibus, please enlighten us on how the MM is working as intended… From what perspective a 2-man T2 squad with mediocre gear is as powerfull as probably a 4-man T3 squad + 1 of the same corp?
What level was your T2 ? T2 (Levels 4-6) So if your level 6 while either solo or in a squad good chance your going to be facing level 5-8 T3 (level 7&8)
Also it could happen that just because there may be 4 members of a Corp on the opposing team may not mean they are a 4 man squad… They could 2 squads who happens to end up on the same side. Timing it just right.

With the poor playerbase at the moment (in numbers) its not that unlikely. (especially when they queued at the same time). Also its not an abusive behavior to coordinate the queueing on TS i.e. And since you said they all had average DSR they could have been put on any spot.

I doubt they will have more than 1 Bubble gun in their line up, i am almost certain and it is pretty obvious what weapons they are going to use, and most of other “high skilled” teams in T3-T4.

Every single Gunship I’ve seen ESB use have Bubbles. ALL of them. Their Tacklers (from the few I’ve seen) use Gauss/Ion, they have no Commands in their lineup.

Even so, Bubbles are still, by a long shot, the best weapon to bunker down with.

Do you remember last tournament and how 99% of all weapons were mid range weapons? i.e. Stabz and some Hails? And i don’t mean Gauss
Bubble gun is extremely close range weapon, by the time you get in range you gonna be vaporized from 4-5k distances, and one simply does not sneak in on ESB

I suspect there’ll be at least on guard to get AMS in, and at least a couple of those gunships will be running lasers because you know - best anti fighter weapon and all when you actually have focus. Not sure if sniper rails will be run on the rest or all lasers though. In current state I suspect it will be all lasers, but they might nerf them a bit before tourney to make it slightly less obvious choice.
But we’ll see what people will come up with.
What I meant, which you obviously failed to read, is that T4 blackwood is far better for credit farming than T5 PVE.

While it could be possible to hit 5 minute mark on BW, none of us does it and it is hypothetical scenario, average BW in good group is 7 minutes, to hit below 7 starts to take effort, and we all know, screw effort during farm. Pirates takes 9 minutes with next to no effort in good group. And in a long run you will have mk2 considerable amount of mk2 gear for sale from both modes, if you didnt have loot couple games in a row, doesn’t automatically make it no loot forever.
BTW if i am not mistaken, even garbage loot from Pirates worth more than BWs, but this has to be verified.
So after all Pirates about equal to BW, in no where BW is significantly better at farm. BUT if you do solo farm BW is your choice, no doubt.

Both T5 gray loot and upgrade kits are significantly more expensive, they are in direct relation to price differential between T4 and T5 loot. It’s one of the less obvious reasons why T5 farm is exceptionally efficient if you’re good at the game.
Obvious caveat: requires skill to not xxxx up at pirate base on regular basis and strongly prefers that people have R13 ships for CD implant. Which is not trivial, as NASA folks have fucked it up when we took someone not used to the thing and especially when we took too many people with T4 and T3 ships that were suboptimal (i.e. too few gunships), ending up not having the DPS for part two, or messing up part one and taking helluva long time, or even wiping there.
So not trivial, but both clearly superior to T3 (max level blackwood) in credits as well as allowing for actual T5 gear progression.
