There may be something more broken with resists.  I just noticed in the game’s ship descriptions that shield EM resists no longer stack.  Synergy bonuses, implants, modules, each appears to overwrite the prior instead of adding to each other.  This was hard as nails to test, but at least this bug appears to be purely cosmetic in nature- the EM resist still seems to stack properly while being damaged.

Yes we are aware of this issue and will fix it soon.

it has to be a typo, that would be stupidly op, before this patch it was 30 extra resist to thermal, and it’s still like that but I guess with a wrong description

 

There were no resists to thermal damage before. The description is correct. It is +30 resist pts to all damage, when the ship reaches 8th level of synergy. 

Stealth change, it now requires 8/8 synergy levels to take a Hydra 2 to a Styx, yesterday it was 7/8.  I know because yesterday I got it up to 7/8 and started grinding PvE for credits.

 

It’s a small patch, which means next week could be major.

 

It was like that from the moment the connection was added. 

If it only puts you in game after waiting for five minutes, it means it couldn’t find any players on the desired server to group you with and widened the search to all servers.

 

Yes, it works the way described above. Not all of our players choose the server for their region, but prefer the default ANY choice. And when there are no players on a specific regional server MM, to provide you with a fight, puts you on the server, where the battle is about to begin.

how about automatically trying to put players in a match where they have good ping? chosing the server doesn’t work because nobody does it, it just means 5 minutes waiting time and then you just get in the any region again…

If the description is correct, than it doesn’t works as it should. In my case i get +30 pts on thermal resist only (after reaching lvl 8 synergy). The EM and Kinetic resists stayed unchanged.

Kinetic - 10 pts

EM -70 pts

Thermal - 70 pts

There is a bug, connected to tooltips for these particular resists (they are not being shown correctly). In game the mechanics should work fine. We are already working to fix this bug too.

It tries that, but if you choose “any”, it will prioritize getting a game going, selecting the best server for majority of players. That means that minority may end up getting a bad ping.

 

If you are absolutely against going with a bad ping, select a good region for you and then cancel MM if it goes over 5 min and retry queuing until you get a game.

You’re wrong Antibus, while my Black Swarm with 0 modules has 10/70/40 resists, my Swarm with 0 modules has 10/70/70

 

because 40 thermal resist + 30 from lvl 8 bonus = 70 thermal resist. I can provide screenshots but they’re not needed. 

 

Who in the hell would think that giving 30 resist to every stat to a Recon would be a good idea? For example the Grim has +11/9/10 bonus, that sounds fair, 11+9+10 = 30, but +30 to every hull resistance just sounds wrong.

yeah there’s a discrepancy on my end too, my t3 swarm has 0 60 60 hull resists (this is with the +30 pts bonus to all hull resists and t1 hull resist implant), however on my t3 diamond dwarf the hull resists are 10 70 40, this is the same with my tier 2 recons and my tier 4 nibelung, this is with no modules equipped

 

seems like the swarm got the shorter end of the stick

Visual or in battle?  Antibus is saying it’s a display bug and only that.

I can confirm that visual stat bugs are there. Looked at a few stats with Residente and a few that we found were on Grim, Reaper, Templar S (surely on others as well). They basically show a positive shield EM resistance, while it’s actually negative. You can see the real stat once you alter it with a shield resist mod.

 

PS: we also thought if Templar S had that amount of EM resists it would be turned into a pretty ship vs bubbles while discarding the rest xD

Templar S has a visual 40 EM resist, but it actually has -40, if you put a +46.8 EM mod in the shield it will have +6.8. Same with the Reaper. Also any Interceptor from rank 1 to rank 8 has +20 visual EM resist.

I just got the upgrade kit and i cannot use it because i have enough credits? Wtf?

It’s not the first time happening. I marked the IR Pulsar there. Yesterday i got the kit for it, went for the upgrade and it did the same crap. I thought it was a mistake on my side, but now i see it clearly isnt. On top of that i also wanted to upgrade a MK2 repair kit L to MK3 yesterday - it did not allow me to use vouchers. Only GS.

What’s going on? You telling me the credit grind has been gauged again?

I’m still expecting something about the perma “TUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTUTU incoming missiles”.

As far as I am aware this is a bug too, and it is in work, at the moment - relog should do the trick.

Just modify your equipment either at the warehouse or at hangar. You will experience this bug when you will first try to do it at one place and then at another.

Excuse me but…what is the point of change hangar? I can use a ship of every faction in the hangar of the other faction and i can sign contract of other faction so…why should i spend 100.000 credits to change hangar?
