Please do, cause I really, honestly dont understand how anyone can get T5 right now if they grinded from the top.
I cant even use my T5 ship! And I only have 1, never mind getting into a match with it!
They’re like… T1 game… they raped me, hard, very hard… I shall get my revenge, I’ll go PvE agains that dumb AIs and I’ll get the strongest ship you can get, then, I’ll come back to T1 and I’ll crush them all…
Days, maybe months later…
I’m ready for my revenge!!
Oh, damn! why everyone has ships like mine? noooooooooooooo
and he horribly dies… then he promises himself to not leave PvE again.

So true, but you can add the following line at the end:
“And he keeps dying to the boss’s pulsar, no matter how far he runs away.”
And by “Cry to the Max” i mean a player that keep complaining that his full purple T1 ship gets matched vs T2 or when he plays with his brother in a squad of 2 and tehy full purple T1 ships are not matched vs other T1 ships.
I think you missed a lot of my posts…
I don’t care if im put against T2 adversaries when im flying with 3 maxed full purple T1 ships, what i loathe is that the MM puts us against end tier T2 maxed full purple T2 ships.
Really, i think ill have to enter the game and waste half of my time only taking screenshots to rub in ppls faces here on forum.
And with all due respect, all you talk is rubish because it seems you have a natural hate towards begginers and want them to “copulate with themselves off” (not allowed to write curses here) since you are basically defending that the MM is kinda ok.
If you have a squad of people using full purple sure thing to put it against a tier above but the current MM does more than that, it puts your T1 ships full purple (ohhh 4 purple modules) and put you against R6 maxed T2 full purple ships which if you were really a person to be taken seriously would know that R6 full purple has tons more survivability and firepower.
I don’t know, I’ve seen ppl with Rank 15 (lightbringer, spectre falcon, jarl, etc) ships and 10/10 sinergy, in xxxx PvE!!!
they had every ship sinergized and they kept playing PvE… guess why? because they had les than 1k games, almost no vouches, and less than 1k DSR…
the hell is wrong with them?
Well, thats because in PVE with those synergy boosts from PVE, license and whatever they get 15k synergy per match, while doing pvp (with that tier mixing “excrement”) you are always being farmed, so at least in pve they always (not always but almost always) win, while in PVE a loss earns you little to nothing synergy (unless you are one of the guys that are farming others).
I have a friend (he doenst log for about 20 days or more) that had T5 fed engeneer and another high T’s stuff that had i think less than 100 battles in pvp. When i asked him about it he said: It is clear to me from day 1 that on this game it is all about gear… (some Pro ppl will say it is not true, but the pro people are a small percentage of the players, and if you consider average players the one with the best gear always wins), expecially if they fly slow moving ships like guards, engeneers, snipers …
If you pit 1 guard vs the other, asuming equal skill the one with best gear wins. PERIOD. And the game is mostly made of newbies and averages so YES, the MM is wrong, the Devs are wrong.
I wouldn’t call it p2w because winning still takes skill.
I mean someone can pay their way to t5 with premium gear and still have their xxxx handed to them because they are not skilled and don’t have experience
p2w or not, progression is really harsh on people who don’t pay… its countless hours of grinding to get mk3 items if you don’t have tons of licences, DLCs and whatnot
*sigh* that number says nothing about your “skillz” anyway. I hate them actually naming that “skill rating”. actions like that actually have more to do with this game becoming unsympathetic, than MM problems.
i have over 2k battles, since this patch my “skills” sank to 1200, while my win ratio increased from 1.12 to 1.14
getting killed by T4 does not really decrease my “skills”.
@Griffon, wonderfully said about the MM, however I still have to argue, that purple items don’t make so much difference as you said earlier either, however the time the pilot obviously spent to get a ship with that equipment, means often a lot of difference. I don’t stay in T3 to “stomp” people. I stay in T3, because the battles are usually bigger, which actually is harder for me and more challenging and more fun. having acquired millions of oversynergy on some ships only shows, i really do like that ship;
I have it way easier in T4 actually, even if i have no T4 purples yet. I just believe, this game does not work well with small skirmishes.

That is because guards have nonexistent skill ceiling. The difference between world’s best and world’s worst guard is miniscule.
Back when I was still flying interceptors, I could take on 3 people in full blues and purples while having nothing but mk2s on and win if they were bad and win. Because inties have extremely high skill ceiling, reducing importance of other factors like rank and gear to “doesn’t really matter”.
To be fair, I’ve yet to see screen shots of post 0.9.9 with 2 tier differences caused by matchmaking (i have seen players with full T1s in T4 games, but i know for 100% they were in a squad with T4 players, so it is an issue of different caliber)
After 0.9.9, I’ve seen an ESB squad in T2 grinding synergy, while using T2 ships. Several other ESB members were grinding synergy, and a few grinding DSR with premiums. If anyone should be pushed up two tiers, it would be an ESB squad. I checked both teams and I didn’t notice one T3 ship in that match.
Are there players sad enough to sit down on T1 to farm kills and that stuff??
Are you be surprised?

When I play T4 PvE there’s normally one T5, me, and two T3 guys. The wait times are fairly low even for the American evenings. Grinding synergy in PvE is possible. Since it’s T3+ players they generally know what to do and we win. I generally use my 2x daily reward on PvE. R15 here I come, slowly.

A good guard will understand his role in the match and treat it as a chess match, thinking two minutes ahead. You kind of have to with Jericho guard speeds. It works best in larger matches. In a 3v3 it’s probably either synergy grinding or not wanting to be killed.

Not just guards, i mean, if you pit 2 inties with same skill level the one with best gear win. And as i stated the vast majority of the playerbase is made up of newbies and average players. So, all in all the result comes saying that gear is everything. But if one team has 1 or 2 skilled players (the rarest type along with the supernubs) they will destroy the average players, but since very skilled players are playing for much more time, they usually will have higher gear, or similar gear, which will again say to the ppl around that gear is everything, but that dude makes more from it.
Thats basically what the current MM is doing, it is showing all newbies that if you start playing this game by doing pvp you will get farmed so much you will lose taste for the game an will abandon or stick with PVE.
When i first reached T3 i went for those T3 pve, the queue was quite long, now it is almost instant at any time of day, and the playerbase has diminished a LOT. So, i ask again, has the developers even noticed that or are they too busy figuring a way to make the game crapyer than it is already for newbie players?
I don’t want this pointless discussion coming up again.
Then become a Mod. Problem solved.
Kraimax is simply expressing the Yang side of the Gear vs. Skill argument which states equipment is everything in a virtual world where the hard cap on skill is programmable statistics. The other side (Ying) is that no matter the equipment level, there will always be players who are better than others and can exploit the game mechanics to their advantage.
There is, however, a third side.
Computer hardware. If you are sporting a triple-monitor, water-cooled, cutting-edge graphics PC with 160 FPS+ and the best DSL connection money can buy; you will most likely appear to have more skill. Because you won’t experience hardly any lag, you have better battlefield awareness, and your aim will be smoother and more accurate.
Physical proximity to the servers also has an effect.
So it’s not as simple as stating that it’s all about skill or all about equipment.

FPS difference isn’t too big as long as you get around 60-100
Network latency, however, is a pretty important factor in any multiplayer. Surround sound and multi-monitor setup helps but isn’t a big advantage
Are you certain that you have no relation to betatrash what so ever? Because we have been there, and I don’t want this pointless discussion coming up again.
He did say of the same skill. Two interceptor pilots of the same skill and with the same ping will have a winner based on gear. Good luck finding two interceptor pilots equally matched on skill in a dogfight.
Don’t you guys see it ? Devs will not listen to feedback unless it suits them.
Now :
T1 is matched from T -1 to T2 if solo and from T-2 to T3 if in group.
T5 is matched from T3 to T5 if solo and T4 to T5 in group.
Eng game tier benefits of reaping lower tier people, while starter tier are farmer from day 1 until they go to t5.
No wonder we see so many tier rushers. People see it like I said up there and want to get to T5 asap, so they will not be farmed. Although they can not get the flying skills and still are getting farmed cause of having T5 ship and <800 dsr.
And other people just quit WITHOUT SPENDING A CENT FOR THE GAME because in few days they have their first t3 ship and see they are farmed in T1, T2, T3 and assume it will be the same for the next 2 tiers.
We have yet to see the screenshot of T1 vs. T3. Provide us with it, please.
