Remember when they first implemented the bubble gun and everyone was flying around with it? Same thing goes here. Wait a week or two and there will be a lot less guards and frigates in general.

yeP sure they will lol sorry but as long as i have been in t4 and t5 its all i have seen is guards, a week or two isnt going to change that heck if they leave it the way it is a year wont even change that… people like to win, they dont care what they fly like others they just want to win soo they use the most op thing that will guarantee them a victory.  wouldnt you if you thought that way?

I suppose I would… Im not saying that people will never fly guards again, im just saying that people will start to fly them less. Guard isnt all that fun to play after a while, so Im sure people will stop after they’ve had enough. And honestly, if you are playing a role that you dont like just for an easy win, then youre playing the game wrong

2 corpmates with >1200 rating made a duo squad with R6 ships and ended up on the red team of my R7-R11 game, do you think they had any fun ?

 

Only a very small minority have the skill to make up for that kind of handicap why would would everybody else want to put up with that crap ?

Been playing with this solution and a few corp mates tonight as well - Earlier we had a 3 man r9 squad put into a full T5 battle … You can imagine we didn’t win I think …

ok so far in esb i think 80% are pissed of this patch, and i must say, me is one of them.

 

 

1. Hud is realy bad now but its playable~.~ and mk4 upgrade cost 360 artifacts for t5 weapon =?

 

 

2. Quening for battles is now ok:  t5 - 4man squad if u want a 4on4 matches agains other good squads,

    or a 3man max rank11 squad for kill randoms and farm…

   

 

3. Guard is Like a Deathzone, Slowfield is 3600 range (with 25% range boost guards) 

   i dont understand why they switch the range all the time on guard moduls just stop it on 0.97 realy lol

 

 

5.positive on this patch…gunships singularity got another nerf, but it was needed , its still playable

Tacklers needed their buff I agree with both hands (even thou being interceptor pilot). But guards … They did NOT.

 I can’t say I blame them.  I never sold my modules that are no longer available in the warehouse.  I don’t use them, only because they where situational for speed builds.  If you want to win, you choose what will win.  If you want fun, play whatever you feel lik  If you want synergy, it’s ok to lose.  That part’s broken.

So T5’s balanced and the OP weapon was nerfed in the way that’s been requested since it’s introduction?  The guard change I’m unsure about.  Signature Masking needed it because of weapon ranges, Mass Propulsion I think depends on the ship.  My guards get about 2.6km with Mk.III which to me is reasonable for affecting fighters.  At the previous range it was interceptors only.  I think maybe it’s just the Tormentor S, Inquisitor, and T-Rex Mk.II that are really an issue.  For those, the ship bonuses should probably be changed rather than the module.

Anyone remember when someone said tacklers were OP?  Of course it doesn’t help that there isn’t an R9 tackler other than DLC premium.  In months, I’ve yet to fly tackler outside of loyalty missions and testing for viability.

Previously there was a limit on the amount of synergy you could receive on one ship in battle.  If you wanted to maximize your synergy, it could be best to suicide and change ships because your first ship was already at maximum synergy for that match.  You’d just loose a “Fear Me” medal possibility and repair costs.

I have four T4 ships and still nothing to do with them. 

 

I had five sub faction levels of 9 and one was 10, and that was rendered useless. I’m not spending all that on very few upgrades to mk III items.

 

Fortunately, I fully equipped T3 ships with mk III stuff before this patch, so I’m not completely out in the cold.  Since I have those, I might come up with something to do.

Also, I love how this patch is called “Modernization”, as it reflects all the worst aspects of the modern gaming industry!

Mate, you’re not following the script. You’re supposed to whine at how overpowered singularity is and how guards desperately need buffs to deal with it.

i’m busy as hell, but just had to log in to say. holy jesus rays… i need time to digest all that. but… busy with remodeling still.

 

off the top of my head though, at least 10-20 changes i asked for are in there, so looks good.

 

now if i could only find some free time… where’s that ;o please include in the next patch.

 

tldr; i was thinking about the crosshair issue. and stated simply, make it opaque and it covers the target, make it translucent, and you cant see it in large battles. so color/size change is probably the next logical step. with more empty space around the center, and maybe just a dot in the middle. or… something… meh, kinda fond of the old q3 circle+dot crosshair.

Who on the development team honestly thought this was a good idea? I can disassemble the stupid thing for free, but I can’t keep it intact without paying credits?

 

I assume… No, I pray Mk. 4 upgrade kits are the only loot you plan to charge us for. I get this is a way to help keep Mk. 4 weapons from becoming too common, but seriously? How much are we going to be shelling out for one lousy Mk. 4 upgrade kit?

lrf lazors melt inties+fighters at range. that’s about all theyre good for. too close and you can’t land enough hits. vs frigs, they take too long. yea, its been a prob.
