Star Conflict OBT v.0.9.7 Discussion

I noticed I’m losing track of the reticle too, much more than before in fact.

A more visible color (green?) would be appreciated in the next patch.

Point is we are asking foir it from months… and looks like they are going in the opposite direction… couuse honestly… 2 patches ago it was better and more visible.

But who the hell is caring about proice of bloody colours while the game is broken as hell???

It’s like people plòaying TF2,sucking, and caring only about what will be the new 100euros hat will be released.

Please … we are trying to give suggestions to make a good game… leave “BARBIE Fashions” alone … at least for now.

Hats would be cool ! Damn now I want a tiny chef hat on my pink Kite.

Good suggestion Ales, I approve.

The same reason the US tries to send money to third-world countries while they have issues themselves: sometimes fixing one thing simply takes longer, but with the current resources, some can be used to deal with smaller things that are still on the goal sheet, albeit lower. The ‘diversion’ doesn’t really take away from the main goal, because the main goal already has maximum resources focused on it. I can say all I want, “This needs to be done and this and this,” do you think having error and antibus read that over 20 times will make them go, “ah, I better use my final genie wish on that.” I’m not saying we don’t suggest things, because that’s our job, nor do I want to alienate anyone except luckyo [:P], but I don’t think our two representative voices are dumb enough to ignore the problems everyone knows about.

So yea, I support ANY talk to improve the game, no matter how big or small.

EDIT: please don’t start an argument about US actions, I’ll be first to admit I used a weak opening comparison.

Doom is a terrible example because of your history revisionism. It was a 2D MS DOS game, 3D in it was actually fake and the reason why you had no aim adjustment in vertical axis was because the game didn’t actually contain one. It just faked it for you.

Also back then, mouse wasn’t used as an aiming device. It wasn’t discovered as such yet. Doom’s default mouse controls controlled movement of the character with the mouse! As in modern WASD controls were actually on mouse X and Y axes.

As a result, game was build with hilarious aim tolerances, and fine aiming was actually done by strafing rather than turning. Because it was a keyboard controlled game, designed to be controlled with keyboard buttons.

Same went to an extent for Quake 1, where they had to emulate doom’s vertical aiming because of the same issue - no proper mouse controls. In fact, if you run around in Quake 1 after setting your looking direction up or down, it will forcibly return it to horisontal by default.

Comparing games designed for a completely different control scheme, from time when mice were not used as an pixel accurate aim control tool is akin to comparing meters to kilograms. It makes no sense.

are you xxxx kidding? he is talking about some colorful reticle, not this transparent xxxx piece of xxxx.

he was talking about ship costumization colours and red and black rising price.

But did u read posts before answer mate?

red/blk prices going up are as much of a problem as the companies overall greed, lack of shame and obnoxious disregard for our perception towards the matter. (or matters of a similar nature)

I mean, seriously, they couldn’t have decided to put red/blk up alone, thinking people would be complacent.

No one is that ignorant or naive.

They just don’t care.

And that feeling over time extends mutually.

Yea residente, Ales was referring to just the ship coloring, not the aiming recticle :stuck_out_tongue:

Now I feel kinda bad for bringing the colors back up…

And St1r, think positive ~ it might mean they will discount ship colors uniformly by a certain percentage ~

That is to say, if everyone actually believed that ‘positive’ thinking, no one would buy colors anymore until the game was forced to uniformly lower the prices. There is a certain advantage to dancing around subjects and letting the darkness ‘hope’ slowly proliferate inside pilot’s hearts.

If it is truly greed that is driving them, once it becomes obviously less profitable, it reverses, and it’s only been a day.

EDIT: I’m going to save time by posting the arguments to that: “But they’ve done this before, no one listens, they just keep making the game worse and worse on all points and never fix the important things” ← if you are saying this, then maybe you *should* avoid arguing about cosmetics that almost have no effect on gameplay. They do listen, but 1) not everything you say is actually a good idea, and will NOT be implemented ever, 2) the things that ARE good ideas [because most are] still need to go through a language barrier, then a time barrier, and a programming barrier, and whatnot. Nothing about this game developmentwise is instantaneous, be glad they update every week with something. Sure half the time you think the updates suck, but everytime you get a sucky update, you do realize you are begging for another quick update? You can’t have it both ways. They can have ‘bad’ updates to show you they are working, or they can do an update every two months that will be perfect, but you won’t see them doing anything so you’ll think they’re ignoring you and you leave before that update. Be patient, and don’t throw *too much* dirt.

I think it’s time for a drama post, but I wanted to save it for release…

About the recent Hotfix, does anyone know what they changed?

The weapon reticle. They made it 10% less invisible. However, 10% of zero is still zero.

Do you really think the game will be at a releasable state in three patches?

Honestly… no. Unfortunately for the community, they don’t care. They don’t listen. They don’t even read their own logs properly. I’m actually scared of this game going live…

I can’t stop laughing with your answer xD

That’s the only thing they “fixed”? I asked because I can’t see anything different since before the Hotfix.

Welcome to SC, land of the poor patches.

Welcome to SC, land of the poor patches.

They “fixed” something else: Now the normal ships don’t have the “reward increase X%” bonus, only the premiums…

They still get free synergy, but before Elite ships got 10%.  Regular ships got 5%.

One more stealth nerf.

I don’t know about Elite ships, but premium ships got moved up from 10% to 20% a patch or two ago. That was no stealth nerf.

— ha, stealth NERF, I nearly missed that. you’re talking about the reward % increase. I didn’t see those on the premium ships either when I looked, but to be honest, I never thought much about those. I could never be sure if I was getting more money or synergy or whatnot from what ships I used when, or if it was a static bonus for playing in T3 rather than T2 - sort of thing. It would make more sense if it was by tier, if the tiers were solid instead of fluid. But then again, I never quite figured those ship bonus’ out >_>

Hmm, I dont see any income changes, just the text dissapeared…

The reward increase came with this patch if you actually read the patchnotes…

“Average premium ship profitability increased by 20%”
