With your DSR, I’m sure you don’t even see the point of hugging the walls in the first place :facepalm:

 

Wow, he has 1300, that’s supposed to be bad? I have almost 1700 and you’re way better than me. DSR proves nothing, mate.

DSR is an e-peen measurement of how much of a coward you are in battle and how many “Fear Me” medals you have. Nothing more, nothing less.

But I’m not a coward :frowning: I end 90% of the games with top 3 efficiency points, its not like guys with 2k rating and a 0.8 w/l ratio and an average of 3 assist per battle.

Point about DSR is the game itself makes it looking like the most important stat you have.

 

If it wasn’t like that there was nothing wrong in it and as Lukyo said it could be considered just as an indicator about player skill.

 

But till people play, and are encouraged to play for that 1) it doesn’t mean anything considering how easy is rise it up if u play for it and only for it  … and 2) You have some people around that don0t even try to win couse they are scared to lose dsr.

Yep, that was my point, ppl who go for it usually lose the games, ppl with skills and who also go for the win gets high dsr too

Ive seen my DSR rise and fall constantly from anywhere around 1300 to 1600. One week I may just play for DSR to see how high I could get it (But probably wont as its boring !)

You won’t get fear me’s in solo play because you’ll need to backspace heal for lack of engineers with active heals. My experience at least.

My ship of choice is usually the Fed Covert Ops (As you may have seen ingame) I always get a tad too greedy and go for kills that arn’t really there … and end dieing far more than I should :lol:  Hence why my DSR varies so much I think, I play objectively some times, but always revert back to my ways of picking a target and spending the entire match trying to kill them lol

simple solution: ban anyone who plays 2 pve games in a row for a week. that’ll teach them.

 

purposefully lowering his DSR to get matches that are more fun because of how DSR is handled.

 

not dsr based. i used to think it was, until i realized that as soon as i hit 1.3 W/R it puts me on 4-5 bad teams in a row… and as soon as i drop to 1.285 or so, it puts me on 4-5 good teams in a row. it’s more than coincidence. you really have to squad to get much higher than 1.4x… or possibly if you already had 1.4x, you can maintain it because it only counts recent wins/losses, not your total W/R. but at some point the penalty becomes more severe i imagine unless you squad.

 

ah and there you have it. squad fix: for each member in a squad, their effective W/R as it matters for mm is increased by 10%. lol. squad problem solved. everyone commence raging.

 

If you proceed in the game, you’ll eventually likely come to the conclusion that things like gear and ships actually matter very little in the long run.

 

nope. top of a tier my W/R and KDR go up, bottom of a tier, they go down… simple observation.

 

when you get top of a tier with full Mk3/exp fit, boy… you’re just cruising. bottom of tier can’t even touch me unless it’s one of those rock-paper-scissors matchups.

 

DSR is an accurate description of how hard it is to kill you as compared to how efficient you are at killing others.

 

tldr; loot salvage rate is the most important stat, and server region /troll.

 

nah, DSR is a rating of how well you use your team as meat shields then run away when things start to go badly. pretty much. or kill-squad farming, etc… it really has no bearing after a certain degree. except in the really low end (you can just be bad), but the high end is farmable, and the mid-end, well it’s like this: i can fluctuate between 1200 and 1400 in the span of an hour or two, depends if i feel like suiciding (masking one’s skill, you could say), or just leroying because of poor teamwork…

 

better measure of skills are kills, assists (kinda not since theyre mixed with buff assists), damage per round and W/R. but it’s hard to weigh different roles/classes like support, and squad advantages. oh, and bot farming to pad stats :\

 

And gear matters a lot, since it compensates for low skill

 

i wouldn’t say gear compensates for skill. instead, it amplifies/multiplies skill.

 

ie: an inexp. player with the best weapon in the game vs exp. player with same… = stomp.

or just use disintegrator and get 15 kills per game. 25 iif you KS. especially fighters, engineers, lrfs, unsuspecting inties, mmm yummy. funny times are popping a multiphase/nanocomp and facetanking a guard. or just hitting with positrons at 5-6km, theyre expecting you to switch to torp/disint at some point and you never do, and still kill them. trololol.

I can only assume that testing was more thorough and bugs were found that caused a delay.  That’s actually good news!

 

After all the DSR talk, I’m just tired of talking about it.
