I haven’t noticed the same issue regarding PvE. Perhaps those affected could shift their focus to that game mode for the time being?

I have, and even if not I came here and paid real money to shoot at people in this amazing game, not really interested in PvE except when I need credits.

 

 

I have wanted the option to select a server region for a long time, and I’m thrilled by it’s arrival. In lower tiers, having a latency of around 160ms is surviveable. In T4/T5 combat, however, that sort of thing can get you killed in a hurry. As of yet, I have not felt the need to specify a server region. Leaving my menu option on “Any” has not affected me negatively. I have played all my games today on North American servers. Recently, my queue times have been much better. On some occasions, (maybe 1 in 10) the queue is instant. Otherwise, I typically only have to wait approxomately 2 minutes. This, of course is when I am flying solo. If I squad up with other T4’s, queue times jump up to around the 4 minute mark again.

I am prepared to disagree with those who say matchmaking is broken. I have currently in my hangar two R10 ships with synergy levels of 5 and 6, and two R11 ships with synergy levels of 3 and 5. If I enter into a small battle (i.e. 3-5 ships on either side) I will find myself matched against opponents with similar stuff in their hangars. If I make it into a larger battle though, I typically find 2 - 5 players on each side with comparable T4 ships, while the rest of each teams’ ranks are filled by T3’s. What the advanced players do with their advantage is entirely up to them. Some of them have T3’s in their hangars as well, so I would assume they are trying to earn synergy on those ships in order to unlock something better.

It is (was? I havent played yet today) broken. As far as the opponents I’m getting, its great. Unfortunately I found less than 5 games yesterday although my ships found dozens.  But I lost no real money because they gave me 24 hour license so its all good. :)wt

lags anywhere and everywhere, you can’t escape. this game is all about lag. without lag I’d die at least 80% less as well - I tend to ram myself into rocks because of lag. :stuck_out_tongue:

Probably highest online count in recent memory too. Lag goes up with concurrent player numbers in my experience.

strange, switched to ‘any’ - perfect flow o.O

I’m on “any” anyway, can’t seem to get a single battle when putting it on “Europe”, waited up to 40 minutes. :frowning:

I should get back to those player patch notes right away… Still tweaking the weapons, but hopefully there will be a lot more for everyone to think about.

Multiple restarts and changing values in the user config for screen resolution seemed to fix the mac issue on my end. Restarting steam client multiple times seemed to work too.

So those of you that are playing … is the consensus that it is better today than yesterday ?   

To be fair… the matchmaking is still fucked to oblivion. This “new” system does nothing to fix anything, but the waiting times have reduced a lot…

every time i select USA i get put on russian server anyways.

 

and at 2500 people, its laggier than normal, at 200 ping most of the time instead of 160.

 

the increase in player numbers - knowledge today - gone tomorrow. i mean, title day.
