I’m unsure of why they classify that as “unfair matches”

It was plain exploiting. And as such unfair towards those earning their synergy/loyalty/titles/etc. legitimately by fighting real battles.

so we can either view ping or see camera positions and region…

 

i kinda miss both on one view :confused:

After today’s update, when i maxed out a ship’s synergy the fleet strenght did not go up. Also saw another player complaining about the same. Is this an error being adressed, or is there something i can do on my end?

So rating decreases 1% per 24 hours for pilots…is this regardless if the pilot is flying or not?  Imo, it should go down only if the pilot has not flown for 24 hours.  Let’s say someone plays for 24 hours straight.  Their skill rating was 1000 at the start, and went up to 1200 by the end.  At the end of their session, do they lose 12, 10, or 0 skill rating?

Please, while you are working in the new captain picking go back to the previous one. It is painfully to have a CR game where your captain is a 950 SR random pug with a tier 2 gunship in a rank 9 game. When both captains are good, the game is good. If one is good and the other is not, then it is a bad game.

 

If both of them are bad, it is just lottery.

It is. Quite functional and looks great.

I’m amazed at the games that support a device that’s not released.  This could make me tempted to get one.

Free aim

Cycle Radar/minimap

show tactical map

all of these are crucial functionalities

 

P.S. if you want immersion, you play games that are designed for immersion. I.E. X series, Freelancer and so on. This game is an Arcade PvP arena(so far) style game, there is no place of “immersion” because it absolutely contradicts basic and core controls of the game.

You need an accelerometer.  You know if you have a gamepad you are going to be moving it around like it’ll help you dodge.

 

(which, as if current, isn’t entirely a bad thing. the grind really is too much for allot of people, and it’s a good way to skip the otherwise empty and boring T4, which no one can skip, even legally, now.)

So true…  People were also using SC to grind their ships instead of PvP.  Now it’s only free synergy and PvE.

I farmed DSR just to be one and now it don’t work

People is never happy, they don’t want to be capt all the time 'cause the team is usually bad and don’t help at all, and they don’t one clueless captains because it’s a lost game.

 

To prevent this, disconnects, selfdestructs, etc, I would just make it random between the 3-5 best pilots based on Skill Rating, depending on the size of the match. 

 

Im pretty sure no one would complain if they always have a decent captain, but not always the same because of the highest SR.

 

I think it’s an easy solution and it would have helped 10 times more than going back to the old system…

Why always random, let the guys opt-in/-out first before you random or you’ll always get disconnects. Plus, if it’s a 3v3 or something like that I damn well want to be captain 100% of the time. It’s just the 12v12 frig balls that bore me out of my mind.

That’s why I said based on the size of the game.

 

If there are 10 or more players, choose between 3, if there are 6 or more between 2, if there are less than 6 per team, the best one.

 

 

Also an option to volunteer would be nice. You apply for capt just at the start, and the system choses the applicant with the highest SR, if no one applies, then choose between the top 3 players.

Yep, that’s what I had in mind.

I used to hate being captain.  Now I don’t mind, and if it’s a 3v3 I want it.  Forcing the captain on someone can be a good thing even if it results in a loss.  All decent players should learn the role.  With the DSR change it prevented that.  Now they can rework it to something good.

 

For the record, I still say top ~25%, since it forces 3v3’s to have the best player have it and 12v12’s have some randomness.

Yes, because not everyone has 16 players online all the time or a pool of 150

Yesterday I was in a PvE game, tier 4 blackwood shipyard. We were 2 guards, one engi and one LRF (me) after the second mob wave, one of the guards and the engi died to one of the pulsar phases.

 

I noticed that their hulks were marked with an “x” but I supposed that the devs introduced some kind of change into hud settings and I didn’t care.

 

But the remaining guard raced towards the engi hulk, and after a few seconds, the engi was there!! he resurrected him, but I don’t know how, because they were russians and didn’t speak english.

 

I then noticed that in the keybinds we have now an “interact” key, binded to U as default. Maybe it has something to do with that.

 

Any comments?

The interact keybind has been around for half a year at least, but it’s possible that it now can be used for reviving, don’t think it had any function before. Does that mean I can no longer afk a wave by getting myself blown up? Damn… :lol:

I have noticed this, I think you just stand near them. It’s a nice feature if you get teamed up with people who don’t know which way is up
