This map absolutely favors interceptors.

So… voice chat is disabled by defaut, so… they can’t hear us, unless they turn that on manually? How do we know who hears us and not?

Can we set te voice chat to always be on? I have no space left on my keyboard that would let me talk to teammates without either letting go of the mouse or stop flying.

Any given pub battle you have 50% snipers, 10% engineers without heals, 10% doing contracts and 5% trying to win.

There really, really needs to be an option to turn kill notifications back to how they used to be. After all the complaints last week I’m surprised this hasn’t been added yet.

 so i was in game for about an hour and a half today, and i had the voice on… could NOT hear much, just some extreeeemely low noise. squaded up to test it out.

 

so not ideally implemented. turned up in game volume, turned down music, played with all the options, no joy. just a low garble. what’s up with that…

Compare my rewards in these battles. I earned roughly the same XP in both of them so it’s probably a comparable performance, and I fly rank 9 ships in both. My performance relative to my team is comparable, too, damage % is listed, and I received 31% of my team’s efficiency in the first one, 27% in the second one. However, in the first battle I earned a massive 30% more credits (despite being nearly 3 times less efficient if you go by the individual number).

Also looking at other guys, should all those who were afk/disconnected and contributed nothing really get that much (or anything at all) for it? AFK farming is quite the issue btw, there are a few of those in just about every battle.

Or compare the guy in the Neuron Zealot in my team in the second battle with the guy in the Dwarf 2 in the other team. Compare the credits they got to their performance. I realize some of these guys have a license while others don’t (I do not) but going by the low XP the Dwarf 2 guy received he didn’t have one either (whether someone does or not is unfortunately not logged).

Do the rewards make sense to you? Because personally I think they could use a lot of work.

PS2: Nearly forgot an old issue because I hadn’t played in that long: if you self-destruct a ship at the start of the battle and then fly another one you still get synergy for the one that only lived 1 second. I synergized all of my T2 and T3 ships like that back in the day so I shouldn’t complain but it remains a good example of the reward system not working like it should:

The Kite was instantly suicided yet earns 37% as much synergy as the Styx that I actually flew.

With 1-3% i woble a lot. More than that the game appears a laggy stop motion stuff. Players teleporting and such.

Im not sure if this will lessen the Jerry-LRF-Pests… 

Had a 3v3 Beacon Hunt earlier: my 2 teammates used Jerry-LRFs  :facepalm:

With my screen resolution, 1366x768, all the markers on my hud at the top and bottom of the screen are next to impossible to see.  I have to spin around to try to find the next beacon marker, or the guy shooting at me.

It is great to have a patch every week that tries to improve things and adds new things. But even in beta there should be tests before the release.

 

Every week you screw things up or still haven’t fixed stuff you screwed up before. Will you ever learn? Will you change that when you are at 1.0 and you don’t have the excuse of being in beta anymore? Or maybe we just stay in beta for ever with version 0.9.99999 .

I know you’re relatively new, but the devs don’t quite work that way.  But, weekly patches are better than a lot of companies.  Some companies will do it once a month and it might take a couple patches to fix stuff.

Another problem got my eye.

 

That thing that shows the FPS and ping is missing 2 crucial informations (one has already been complained here, the one that would say the server region) and, at least to me, one of the most important: THE PACKET LOSS PERCENTAGE.

 

Please antibus, poke the guys to make it appear the packet loss aswell, instead of that useless camera position coordinates.

The old packet loss is broken.  It rarely shows something other than 0%, but I can tell when I’m getting dropped packets.  Since it’d UDP I can’t really follow how many packets I’m really losing and how many are out of order.

 

Also, no detonation on the new map?  Detonation’s the best for solo custom battles for testing stuff since it’s 12 minutes of not worrying about anything other than what you’re focusing on.

That’s what “mute” is for. Most games let you silence specific idiots.

while i agree, that the pl-meter is more important than camera positions, i have base pings (average lowest number) from 65 (which is quite okay) to 190 (which is frigate time) on RU servers, so it isn’t that useless - its true that eu and america is mostly always the same, but some RU servers seem faster from my EU position than others.
