Mobility is not supposed to compense this?

With frigates using hitscan, aoe or sniper weapons and ammunitions, mobility doesn’t compensate for all that much really, and that’s even ignoring all the mobility inhibitors out there (and that includes all the game modes that require you to move to a specific location).

Also I just noticed that I was looking at the wrong damage numbers for the baby mortar for my original dps comparison - it does actually work exactly like the coil mortar in that only ever one of your weapons fire. That makes the weapon’s damage output abysmal, so agreeing with Zap that it is rather useless on paper (I still like the range + handling and did 35% of my team’s damage with it but maybe you’ll have to look at the rest of the team to explain that :P).

I miss a bit improvement in the storage space area. Any chances this gets improved? Atm. it’s a bit of a hassle you get once your fleet size increases, mainly because fitted ships occupy the slots pretty fast.

 

The shield size equality is maybe positive, maybe not - jericho ceptors certainly had the advantage of being very tiny even for their speed; in fact the ship size could always have been a more clear delimiter between tiers, so lower tier ships might get some relevance in the endgame of this game; while this may improve jericho frigates, certainly not for fed ones, it isn’t really a benefit for shield tanking per se - and i thought the problem was actually empire being too strong.

 

I feel a solution might not be in things, which “decrease complexity” overall, it’s basicly the lack of options atm. which makes shield overall rather a weak choice.

No, players had 200 extra Thermal Resistance points, and now they are gone.

People "take part in the in-game poll"s so they can get the Standards. Nothing else. The new system is crap for Support ships, all they have to do is sit down and apply buff/debuffs as needed. Other than that, you get a crappy 2-8 points. YEAH, a riveting new system.

 

Now, don’t get me wrong, the new system is good. It annihilated most of the kill stealers (they still do it, they don’t give a toss if they get less points, all they want is the kills), but the system is terribad for pure Support ships like ECM and Engineers. I mean, a LOT of changes take not even 24 hours to go through, but when it comes to critical issues, easily fixed, might I add, it’s a 3-5 week time trial.

 

People in-game don’t care about what they vote for. I can guarantee you that, if you put those same polls on BOTH forums, the results are going to be EXTREMELY different. Putting those polls solely in-game is called “manipulated results”. And that means, loosely, “we only do this here and there because we know the results will be something like this, which supports our ideas”.

Hold Up,stop the press.Ok let  me get this straight here,Already got a poll for voting up…?Just logged in,and there the poll,have not played,and there the poll is there,now being in the states,not sure how long the patch has been live.But do you not think it would be a bit more informative if you let the players,say…umm i don’t know PLAY WITH IT FIRST!!!Before you ask,say like a day or two?really?Now as i sit in the my teamspeak with several of my corp mates,most say only do it for the gold and could care less what it i about.please tell me this is not you biggest basis for you changes,if so it makes sense why some screwy patches.

see the text here in this post,Sorry mate borrowed  you screen shot there.I do not post much,but read allot,and only post when i feel strongly about some thing,but the Idea that the poll is up,as the patch hits seems a bit redundant,and as for the changes,i have read through here and will see after i post this myself.But the “efficiency vitalization”(having not played yet) already sound like a pain,i look at that when thew match is done…

They should make voting in poll costs GS to get serious results, not to get GS. The first option always wins, because people don’t care and just want the GS. The poll is completely flawed!

You should perhaps focus on discussing the patchnotes. You don’t know what the devs want to see. So it is useless to discuss the polls and what kind of possible answers would have been better here. Stay on topic please, and stop making false claims on the developers’ intentions. Thank you.

I like the patch… new weapons look to work quite fine… but i’m waiting for more feedbacks about the gauss…

The poll was asked “What do you think of efficiency visualization updated”.Was that not in this patch,or did i miss something…?Oh wait,yes,yes it was.And after a bit of play time,it is a bit of a pain,a bit on the distracting side,till you get use to it,i just pay it no mind,but fail to see how this “improves” game play in anyway.If i am not mistaken it shows you your “efficiency” at the end of the match.I fail to see how improves anything at all,just puts more stuff on your screen.And as for the whole “hit box” thing still feeling that out…

I love this patch because not only shield and hull tanking got the balance they needed, but also because they put a “Spend GS” button in the extraction window where the old confirmation button was. Also the icons for the new weapons look fantastic.

Well, i made a pretty post, but it got deleted (it was mocking the poll system) used some words that im not suposed to, so im doing it again but without ofensive words.

 

How the game poll works:

 

Question: Did you like the changes in the HUD?

 

() Potato.

() Yes.

() No.

() I dont care.

 

60%+ would chose the potato just because it is on top of the list.

Well, that doesn’t work either. I always vote for the comedy option. Just put “I don’t care” top and bottom and you’re set. will be interesting to see in which location it gets more votes.

Another option would be to give no reward at all for voting (not that the free GS aren’t welcome).

All the difficulties aside, thanks to the devs for having the votes!
