  1. Bonus : Compare the Wakizashi AE and the Storm Viking :smiley: and Find all the wrong things. (works for a lot of imperial ship compare to other faction’s ship)

Empire Engineers being BETTER than Fed ones.

Empire ECM being BETTER than Jericho ones.

Empire Commands being BETTER than Jericho ones.

 

I could go on and on… But, overall, the major problem is that Hull systems currently have a ridiculous boost compared to Shield ones. Shield systems either cripple you too much or have some absurd requirements, whereas Hull systems merely have minor drawbacks you can either live without or compensate efficiently.

 

The fact of the matter is that Hull is ridiculously, VASTLY superior to Shield. And that ca be game breaking because people will only go for those 6 ships, instead of 12.

The fact of the matter is that Hull is ridiculously, VASTLY superior to Shield.

Jericho has the benefit of healing their primary tank without the use of active modules.  I’m half playing devil’s advocate.  I started the game with Jericho and since I had my highest ranked ships as Jericho I’ve stuck with it although I’m sort of switching to Empire.

 

For fed interceptors and empire recons regenerative coating helps since MWD is a GTFO survival mechanism.  I haven’t played empire ECM yet, but given ECM’s current status I don’t know why I should.  Shield tanking can work in a battle, but it’s limited by regen and the fact you’ll be ready slower for the next battle.  Even an engineers heals are faster for shields than hull, but hulls tanking ability makes it worth that.  It does come down to the regen issue.  In a 1v1 dogfight hull tanking is superior.  In a 12v12 death match shield tanking could be viable, provided there’s no engineer.  At a minimum, Jericho should get some regen boost to make up for their tanking abilities.

 

The hardest part of changing to empire ships while flying mainly Jericho ships was getting used to the fact that shields being gone meant nothing.

Ecm makes a decent detonation ship, as you can stun pursuers while carrying the bomb. It is also an excellent captain in combat recon. Im sure there is more it can do though.

Well, you can improve that with passive modules. I don’t think it is worth but maybe it could be tested.

Another small advantage of shield tank is that the restoration module heals more than the repair one. Not much but even then…

Can help squadmates take down an enemy ship easily, cap the beacon without interruption, reduce enemy damage, trololol the enemy and whatnot.

It also can be a horrible ship if you keep getting into small matches.

First of all: Happy New Year to all!

 

I finally came to test the new Patch, so it seems I missed all the slow-carnage with the new weapons…

 

It was nice to have some story missions, I liked them, but tbh. I hoped for a better reward after the last mission (its x-mas afterall).

Anyway, the best thing are the dancing PPL in the hangar. They are AWESOME! Really, just a little gimmic that i very much appreciate. 

 

The new weapons make me realize (since they are temporary) that we are really in need of new ones… It lacks diversity. Also I yet fail to see a reason why I should use the both Railguns on Fighters anyway… Ion and Bubbles can do the Job, too and even better (T3+). 

Imo some adjustments are needed here.

  2. How does MM work right now, it seems there were made many changes regarding squads. Please Explain!

Well, you can improve that with passive modules. I don’t think it is worth but maybe it could be tested.

All ships that use shield tanking need improvment for Shields tanking mechanics and what is really needed is a massive Nerf on all Empire Ships.

And not fake tweak. They have to feel the same pain than Jericho ships.

  1. Depending of your faction : If you try to soloQ with the Empire you will become crazy.

Looks like the new MM using more the DSR, it thinks you can carry Players that don’t know how to play.

  1. Yea, nothing new here. But I noticed that it is possible now to find Matches with a 4-man-Squad (T3) in under 5 minutes… or did I just got lucky (8 times in a row)?

It is. In fact full squads get into games extremely quick these days. Its pretty good.

There is no amount of available slots that makes that single stat worth anything. You sacrifice speed, energy regen, and god knows what else just to get a tiny bit of regen compared to the overall pool.

 

To get Hull regen, you sacrifice… a slot. How lovely. (and hull resists, iirc, I can’t login, atm, to find out, game keeps not letting me login).

 

It’s still highly unbalanced.

No, they  dont!!!

 

I agree with you, that Jerry-Ships in general are a pain to fly (especially fighters and Ints) but the solution should NOT be, to nerf the rest into the ground! I think a stat-wise buff of Jerries would solve the Problem. 

 

One of the main disadvantages of them is their weakness to parasite and their sluggish speed/manouverability. 

A possible solution might be to increase the shield-pool …

 

Guards still dont need a buff btw.

No. Jericho ships already have enough stats as it is. The problem isn’t Jericho stats, it’s the xxxx Passive modules.

 

Either nerf Armour modules enough so their downsides are similar to Shield ones or buff Shield modules to compensate for their horrendous drawbacks.

About all the complain on shields for jerryes, ion emmiter being too powerfull, bubble of deaths, please, be clear and state to all that it is on T4 and T5, otherwise they could again do crazy things and nerf all across the board everything (thats how they do things here in case anyone forgot).

 

About ion emmiter, there are targets that with my nukem 1 i crit with all overcharges on around 8k (mostly fed engies) and it hits pretty fast. But for other targets, i never seen it hit more than 4k, sometimes even less, for example some desert eagle from ESB, even with all turned on he simply didnt take dammage even if i kept my aim steady on him. On T3, if ion emmiter kills fast it is because of lack of resistance against thermal i guess. But, on T5’s, T4’s, i dont know, maybe there it is too OP.

It doesn’t matter what we say because, in their logs, everything is fine. Everythingb alances itself out across the board. It’s OP in T5? The underpowered equivalents in T2/3 compensate.

You must be in completely different games than the ones I’ve been in. I see Empire ships actually be nimbler than Jericho ones…

Thats what im talking, they have resistances that pugs dont. But even their fed engie melted with that. Hehehe Altough they seems to be somehow abusing the MM, since they arent being pushed up against T4 like other people are, by looking at their ships, equipments and SR’s.
