All right, so, for everyone, who’s having trouble completing the quest chill - there is a mistake in description. 

You need to use freeze beam to complete it. 

It is a bit stranger than that in my opinion.

 

Freeze beam is only for fighters, but I was able to finish that quest with frigate. Instead of freeze beam, frigates have that weapon that shoots snow balls, that heal friendly hull.

 

So I think it works (unintentionally or intentionally) with both fighters and frigates seasonal weapons, but not with interceptors weapons.

I think that much slow on freeze beam is to much

Or put on a tackler with range bonus and stop ships at random.

Slow Beams on a tackler is an overkill, it has very low dps already that can be pybassed by self buffs of gunships or on commands with valk and other benefits. As long as there is a weapon like this there is no need for tackler (except for tiger 2 with -40 resists on painter)

 There is no practical need  completely stop target when you can easily slow it with 67% and kill it yourself without any help :slight_smile:

As long as you assist or are assisted by someone with a freeze beam it seems to count as well regardless of your own weapon.

And the 25 pvp kills are with the frigate icy weapon. Wish it was more clear thou.

There’s 2 rounds of that, one with the frigate and one with the inty weapon. But it does mention that in the description, although it’s easy to miss.

Yeah as stated its ¨just¨ a typo. Kill 100 bots with the fighter weapon, kill 25 players with the frigate one and kill 25 with the inty…The latter two has the correct description but the first has the inty weapon instead of fighter one in the description, since assists counts peeps get abit confused.

 

Apropos confusion… is the rare wreath 2014 sticker supposed to be the same as the contest saviour one?

 

Loving the theme stuff, my inner manchild gets a kick every time I launch the fireworks missiles, those are amazing.

Nothing in the patch notes about pressing M to change from the 3d radar to the 2d minimap.

Bypassed?  I hardly think so.   My gunship can hit the speed limit with only its own mods, yet tacklers with the new gun slow it to like 100-200 with engine slowing mods.

mods -> turn off afterburner + smaller % slow

gun -> 67% slow

it pretty much compensates my extra speed and more.

You didn’t read it right, what I meant is tackler doesn’t have enough extra dmg to compensate for a low native Freeze beam dps, while gunships have overdrive+overcharge. 

Those beams can go as far as 7k on Desert Eagle and 5-6k on Other Gunships in T3. If you want to stop some one in track you have to get in range of your modules and again beams will slow by 67% and due to the nature of stacking mechanics of negative effects, tackler will apply another 20-25% and this is a total waste and inefficient way to use your modules.

 Point is Commands and Gunships do not lose anything in efficiency by using beams while tacklers get a 40%-60% drop.

I love to see my max speed set to 70 m/s with this weapon.

I think the weapons (still havent tested the int one, but my brother didnt liked) are cool, just need some tweaking, but it is kinda fun play in a squad with 3 gunships, 2 lazors 1 slow, inties melt pretty quickly.

The ceptor one i cant hit anything with, its just strange

What is in a HotFix? 

A couple of inner technical fixes. Also, description of quest ‘Chill’ was fixed, now it says that for completion of the quest you need a Freeze Beam weapon.

Removing all the interest of flying a frigate.
