i realy hope you aren’t going to nerf chameleon and camo by blocking its usage under drone/micro locator, it is already situational, but with this change its going to be even weaker. Those new players have no ide how to use camo/chameleon and that it is an actual direct nerf.

Well according to Hints from INN, Camo and chameleon are not gonna be activatable under drones and micro locator, and that in fact a nerf, because right now by activating under those condition you still drop lock which is very helpful - “flare” missile, juke around the asteroid, drop a multi focus, drop energy drain, gain extra seconds while yoru enemy have retarget you, those are all valid uses for current functionality of a camo/chameleon - block activation (again, according from INN) and all of it is gone - which is a nerf of those modules and indirect buff to Drones/MicroLocator

Camo has a problem.
There are scenarios when it’s about to come out of cooldown and you need to activate it fast so you tap the shortcut button repeatedly to try and activate it the instant it’s out. However if from that tapping repetition you activate it and tap the shortcut 1-2-3- more times after (involuntarily) you will deactivate it. It happened to me countless times since i restarted flying covert ops. It should stay active.

Voluntary or not, these half a dozen pilots have access to a place no one else has, the test servers. And they CAN, by “providing feedback”, tip the balance in favour of a certain type of ship role or individual ship.

There is no ‘utter imbalance’. Acording to statistics they both are pretty much doing fine.

Anti, shield tanking, compared to armour, is imbalanced. Armour is A LOT stronger than Shield. I mean, barely anyone flies Jericho Fighters and Frigates, compared to the other factions. Jericho Guards are rare compared to their Federate counterparts (mostly because keeping a Jericho Guard at top speed is… ludicrous and impossible), Jericho LRFs are non-existent for SEVERAL reasons, not just tank. Jericho Commands are vastly inferior to Empire Commands and Jericho Tacklers… I don’t think I’ve ever seen one since the Passive revamp… Empire ships are used, more than the rest, because the way Armour tanking works is overpowered, compared to Shield. It just is. It is NOT balanced, it is everything BUT balanced. Even stat-wise, Armour is vastly superior.
However, we’ve seen a massive rise in Federate ships with Shield slots because of how Adaptive Shield now works. Effectively, Federate ships now have MORE hp than Jericho ones. This is because Federate ships make use of a highly effective Shield tank, coupled with a balanced Armour tank and overpowered Speed tank mechanics.
The fault? Shield tanking mechanics are vastly inferior to Armour in almost ALL situations. Please go search in your logs for this evidence (because it’s there, I see it in matches on a daily basis).

It’s almost true. The tanking that some empire gunships are possible to do is close to absurd. Guards still have their use with their area debuffs, but if you compare pure tanking and mobility, that shield tank is just too weak, compared to how much more easy and effective is to hull tank with a gunship and get away.
It’s a good thing we got rid of the frigball with the guard nerf, but now we say guards are too weak again. We don’t want another frigball, but now again, I don’t bother using my guard anymore, it’s not what it used to be… there is no reason to switch it over a gunship, none at all. They lack something, maybe their modules could be a bit more effective, or a bit more speed.

Phase modulator’s the same way right now. It’s annoying, but understandable. I like using it drop missiles or just reorient. It only lasts five seconds but it’s effective. Camo and chameleon should get the nerf, but so should spy drones. Micro locator’s ok.

I believe there’s somewhat a tier and psychological issue. When shields are gone it creates a view that the ship is an easier kill, but on Empire hull tanked ships that’s not the case. On Jericho it is true. Currently there’s no shield tanking comparison to galvanized armor where all resists are increased, except adaptive shield which requires flying fast. Not only that, it buffs hull as much as shield. Hull already has high resists compared to shield, and individual passive modules are stronger for hull than shield. Then there’s Shield Projection Splitter, which reduces acceleration. Ask any of the testers which maneuverability option they’ll compromise first, and it will not be acceleration. Galanized armor’s rotation can be eliminated by one vernier, and armor plated hull’s speed change isn’t severe. Even the hull resist active module provides more resists than the shield resist active module.
Look at the balance in smaller matches, not the large 8v8’s and 12v12’s. Ask your testers if they prefer Jericho ECM’s or Empire ECM’s and why. Ask if they prefer Jericho commands or Empire commands. Until the Sword S the diffusion shield can’t compare to Empire commands. If the testers say they’re equal, check your logs and see which they fly. It’s broken. We know it, and the testers know it. The logs may not show it, it’s there.

Still trying to level up the Black Swarm. Empire ECM ARE stronger than Jericho. Tank and stat-wise and I’m still levelling it, it’s at lvl4 or something…

It needs more speed OR shorter recharge time. Damage is nice as it is.
The main problem is that with desintegrator you have an hybrid gunship/sniper with good tank, while torpedo boats are fragile, and their DPS when shooting missiles is bad except if you hit 4 people with the same missile.

Pick. AMS immunity or AMS shooting it down.
