The Styx DEFINITELY needs an hp nerf. 10% overall is more than enough. I mean, come on, that single ship has 10k more hp than the friggin Crus-S! Guards are meant to be the game’s tanks, not Engineers. Imperial Engies are meant to take a beating and survive. Jericho Guards are meant to take a beating, survive and spread their arms going “COME AT ME, BRO!” at the incoming horde of enemy ships.
Go ahead, take away 10%. I’ll still face tank and obliterate the majority of guards I find when I’m in my Styx. The ones I can’t…well I haven’t seen those but I imagine they exist.
Actually I enjoy flying the Death-a-conda and the Death-i-gator MkIII way more than the Styx.

That’s more than T4 Guards (well, more than the Tormentor, anyway). Definitely more than T3 Guards.

I’m not saying that the Styx is not OP, but the Phase shield resists are not included in the survivability EHP of guards, neither the damage reduction aura in case you have it active, or the emergency shield boost module.
My crusader has worst survivability than my Styx, but it can take way more damage with a good phase shield use and positioning.
Bigger problem here is people play the styx like an engineer (second line) and most people rush the front line with a guard, where it gets focused and annihilated in few seconds.
The guard is the anvil of the attack force, not the hammer.
