You know that this is exactly what caused the frigballs in the first place, right?
What? Guards being tougher than Engineers? No. What caused frigballs was the fact that BOTH the Styx AND the Crus-S were op’d ships. The Crus isn’t op, anymore, it’s borderline “useful”, now and the Styx is still op.
Don’t nerf the Styx! I’m biased too.
But seriously, they need to be fixed. They’re not meant to be that tanky.
I’m not sure about the HP nerf. I’m thinking more along the lines of nerfing hull tanking and making shield tanking actually viable.
Alas, I fear that will happen again. It will displace the intyball, but it’s not any better.
I’m biased towards Guards! They need buffing because that was the ship I always flew in every match. F*** that noise. What I’m saying is that, considering that the Crusader Guards got nerfed to hell, why can’t the Cerberus Engineers? Currently, that sole ship is 3x stronger than its T4 counter part, the Garm!!

Secondly, Still not having the Incomming dammage shown do not help.
Third, Still to much “Gears” / “Team” / “Team’s Gears” Dependent.
When I want to play seriously my guard, I have so many Factors to find, to understand and to use correctly that it’s not funny anymore to fly it.
And you know what it’s mean when the Guard Player I use to be stop playing his favorite kind of ships.
So I started the creation of Hybrid Ship, that shouldn’t be in the actual meta. And Yes, When you can do a 16k Critical Hit on a Crusader S, OneShot Ceptors/Fighters without using the Disintegrator… And OutTank a lot of ships…
You know you have created a something wrong.
If you only see the “Phase Shield” problem, it’s due to the fact it’s the first thing you see on a Guard.
This morning I made a little test on my Styx and my Crus S with 4 Mk1 modules (Hull and Shield) and Full synergised ships. (And randomly made My Sigurdr Moar OP)
Crus S = 60k Survavibility
Styx = 58k Survavibility
Not a single Negative Resistance.
So why do we have Crusader S with 44k survavibility? Is It that Hard?
2 littles tweaks :
Add a “Slow barrel Rotation speed bonus” on the Guard with bad weapons positionning (Crusader Series, Tormentor Series, and T-rex Mk2)
Rework the Beam Cannon with the “KWP” Snowstorm firing Mechanics (Without the Hull repair thing that nobody use)

I don’t. My Crus-S actually fits a more groupy role. I had AMS, Pulsar, Engine Inhib and Weapons Inhib (the dmg reduction one) before the latest Guard changes. So my passives usually fit into the tanktanktank role. I still have to refit it to see how I’d fit it effectively, though.
Actually I enjoy flying the Death-a-conda and the Death-i-gator MkIII way more than the Styx.
Gameplay is so static with this ship…
