For starters requirements * 0,75 should be sufficient.

If all members in the team have purple fittings instead of green ones, it sure adds up. It’s not much on a single ship (except buff modules effectivenes and range), and yet again modules like purple Statis and Aiming Overcharge. do make a difference.
I once did a spreadsheet comparing the damage output with MK1 gear on a gunship with assault rails - critical damage build, and full Mk4 gear. Critical change multiplied by higher base damage, grows exponentially. So it all slowly adds up, indeed.

This again is a feature question: “should MM take chosen ship synergy and module levels into account when trying to make teams fair? (from all max 4 chosen ships per player)”.
With current player base, no, it should not as we don’t have enough players for such algorithms to work. Maybe if we had enough players so MM would have deep pools of players to sort into even teams.

The prices for each MKIII upgrade should go down by 25%.
I choose this number because it allows you to get one blue item every day, (even without premium) if you do all your contracts.
It would be much more of an incentive to stay in the game.
Yes, GS prices are intentionally absurd and are not actually meant to be bought (it would be P2W, right?), but it still happened I accidentally clicked on a GS option instead of loyalty when upgrading in T5, lost 2.400 GS. Can I get a refund for that, btw?
I had a similar misclick issue some time ago with loot extraction. Sent a ticket to support, got a reply that “this is not something we do”.
Just once? I miss clicked at least 20 times at loot extraction, learned to live with it. But losing over 2000 in a single click is much worse.
Sorry but you can farm many vouchers in pve. Survival ones, beacon ones, efficiency ones, win ones and I have yet to test if you can also farm the beacon protect ones.
Yeah, you can do those once every 2398472983794827 hours.

Are you sure? Remember, we are talking about new players, they will have about 3 contracts with low rewards and only one is repeatable over and over. Sure, he can get it in one day, but just 25%? I think they should somehow merge the old system of reaching some loyalty level, and when u reach it trhough gaining vouchers you can buy MK3 for Creds.
All I know is that right now it’s too grindy, and it doesn’t feel right. It doesn’t make sense for Mk4 upgrades being more accessible than Mk3.

+1. very good idea, and with my idea of emimating the contract cool downs, then we have a keeper or a solution to our problems.
Having a 2.0 ratio barely means that MM is bad. This means you win only 75% of your games, which is only half more… from half of the games played. It’s a decent ratio, not broken. It only shows that you probably work with a team. If you are forced into having a 1.0, what is the point of playing, squadding with a corp and improving, than? If someone is good, or has a good team with him, he should have an impact for the winning team, thus increasing his w/l ratio. If you play any lobby based game solo, you should pretty much expect a closer to 1.0 ratio, since one person doesn’t have much of an impact.
It means EXACTLY that the MM is bad. The MM is there to give you a match you have 50% to win or lose, which should mean that you have a challenging game. If you are playing well, you are given harder opponents. Yes, that can be interpreted as punishment, but shouldn’t. Its simple balancing.
The problem is, its not balancing by giving you interesting challenges, but by some very rough jumps in difficulty. The other problem is, you still have over 1.0 W/L, so its not even working.
This exactly!
I mean, whats the point of interactivity when you have no influence on the outcome of the match?
MM feels like hes cheating, he puts you either in good or bad teams and thats praedestinated by the outcome of your last games.
Thats not “raising the bar stepwise” its binary.
See, this is exactly what im talking about, the second part. You should have influence to the outcome, but the MM doesn’t have the tools for smooth scaling, because of tiers. The game is fucked because of the tiers. If tiers wouldnt exist only gradual increasing of power, it would be a much better MM’d game.

Its not the tiers.
Its the quality of players. In a way Skillrating can say something about the players. If they are below 1100 you know they are terribad.
If you shove them all on the same side, and/or you have to compensate for their xxxx behaviour its just a bad match.
And it gets more and more awful the higher you get up in the tiers. T5 and T4 at some point is just unplayable, because even one bad player can have such a massive influence on the outcome of the match (3v3s, 4v4s. in general)
Luckily I have a few premiums to farm free synergy for the upper tiers.
I just tested it, waited for 20 mins in a 2-man-squad to find a godawful match. Its frustrating as hell.
Give the Forcematches back!!! 20mins wait and then a xxxx match is just baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad!!!
That concludes for me today. Playing T4+ is pointless and awful. I love those ships, but the matches and the wait, its too much for me.
Pvp in t4 is horrible…wprse ever…never ending waiting to get max 2vs2 match…just horrible

u mean is intended to wait 5 mins to get match in 2vs2 with a Ace kamikaze teammate…?

according to the devs. yes
The waiting time always depends on the number of players in queue for the corresponding Tier.
I started playing two and a half weeks ago when the DLC’s were on sale (50% off). The normal/current price is unreasonable for a DLC. Back then I bought a few DLC’s and ended up spending not much more than for a normal game. With the DLC’s and bonuses that come with it it allowed me to level up ships and upgrade them in a reasonable amount of time (since last week I have a few Tier 3 standard ships).
The grind was not that hard. PvP is good for synergy grind and contracts and PvE is good for some contracts and credits.
For someone who doesn’t want to spend any money will have an extreme hard time to get to the next ship or upgrade them as you don’t have any GS (standards) so you have to get vouchers for upgrades and they are limited to your low reputation rank. If you also don’t like to play PvE that additionally takes more time to the next ship as the credits from PvP are poor.
Grinding for Tier 3 is exponentially harder as everything is expensive and I’m reluctant to use GS to upgrade modules and 40k -100k vouchers for an upgrade takes several days.
This hard grind probably leads to players limiting themselves to a couple classes as they don’t want to grind for other ship classes.
Right now I’m trying to stay away from Tier 3 because with my poor equipped ships I’d be only cannon fodder or meat shield as they call it in CoH2.
To not be mismatched with Tier3 ships I have to limit myself to 2x Rank 4 and 1x Rank6 ship, if I take higher ranked ships I meet Tier 3 in PvP. Of course if I have a long winning streak or my SR goes much higher I can only play Rank4 ships to stay in Tier 2.
Anyway. Thanks Gaijin for making that game so hard. I won’t spend any more money. If you cannot fix the game or f it up even more I’ll spend my time rather in other games.
If someone who doesn’t know Star Conflict asks me about the game I would tell him to not spend any money until the game is more enjoyable and at the moment treat the game as something you don’t play long term and just as regular blow off steam shooter.
Dude, you spoken of grind have only recently reached T3. I am complaining about the grinding for the last 3 months that im in T3, and people say it is 1000x more grinder at tier 4, and on T5 you need to leave your job to be able to grind that much.
I understand. I got a small taste on how hard grinding is in/for T3 that is why I stay away from it for now. Well T5 and partly T4 is only for those that have no job or play the game almost from the beginning. But with the lack of players in these Tiers the players won’t do any T4/5 game or stop playing. On this situation will nothing change in the next months even with a final release and a lot of advertisement because it is still impossibly hard to get there. A T4 or T5 ship sale won’t change anything because you spend a multiple on credits for module upgrade or different modules.
Many suggested what can be changed but if there is no change to the final release, well then game in the higher tiers will remain only for a few.
