Star Conflict OBT v.0.9.12 Discussion

Anything above 1500 won’t give you a difference from 2000.  Around 1200-1250 seemed good for matches for me.  It used to be that above 1250 would give me bad matches.  Right now I’m in the mid 1300’s and I’m not noticing too many bad matches.  I don’t know how much match size affects it, 12v12’s are gone and smaller matches can be a little more organized.

well, acording to the mm rules (asuming they are indeed working as that) theres an increase in the queue dificulty based on SR.

Well, i and my bro, are only playing T2 pvp, and it kinda oscilates between 1200-1270. So, i guess yours will prob stabilize around it or maybe 1300, Unless you start a suicide spree to lower your SR.

It stabilized at the 1500 mark due to the amount of kills, so I indeed need a kamikaze spree to get proper MM

As Deranzeef stated, I went back to T2 to lose some DSR, I lost over 200 points and they’ll keep droping. The fact that that useless number makes me fight enemies with higher ships than me just nerves me. We will see how many points I need to face ships within my tier. Stay tuned.

Did the same. Lost the same. Feeling the same. Punishment FTW. Not to mention how horrible those ships are compared to their old counterparts where they INDEED stood a better chance vs T3. Seems i cannot drop below 1450 however. Not yet at least, given i enter SQ when available.

I really hate my Kalah and Crus Q now that used to be so good and i spent GS on, now they’re nerfed below the ground. And that same Crus Q had the power to bring me a wonderful Grim Reaper medal… Go ask for money back? I really doubt it. The support page doesn’t even work for me (tried to get my GS back on the Wolf M paints, no success). Not gonna bother anymore, i’m waiting for an early 2014 release on something else.

What level in T2 are you all going down too?  It must be below Level 6… as with Level 6  full purple and Sr of 1300-1400 your essentially staying in T3 Level 7-8 and at times 9.

R4 will make me face up to R9. R5 seems to do the same. R6 i got 1 or 2 matches vs some R10 before i tanked my SR down another 50-100 points. Guess i’ll have to drop below 1000 to get a same tier match in mid tier ships maximum comparing those numbers.

As far as my experience goes (with 1300 or less SR), it goes with rank 6 ships: 6 to 9. With rank 5 ships: split 5 to 8 and 5 to 9. With rank 4 ships: 4 to 8.

By the way, only Mk2 (green) equipment, so: MEH. The punishment is too hard to be bearable. And the same kind of MM results happen in T3 and T4, just change the ranks accordingly and voilà.

Oh, and before I forget about it: I haven’t experienced 12v12 in almost a month (T2, T3 and T4 queue). In my humble opinion, the matchmaker is sucking more and more with every passing patch.

I still experience some EXTREMELY rare 12x12 on T2, but my team is full T2 with few exeptions and SR’s of 1100 max, versus premium ships T3, and some T3, and rare T2’s and ppl with 1500 SR sometimes on the enemy team.

Soooooo suuuuure, MM working as intended… So it is intended to be an testament to the developers stupidity.

I asked this in another thread… and never got an answer…( maybe wrong thread (matchmaking))

So I am going to ask AGAIN.

MIXED TIERS…    I think I am being PUNISHED      If I go SOLO and place all level 6 ships in my line up… MM places me into level 5-8

If I am forced into Level 5-8 WHY CAN"T I EARN 30% the highest LEVEL I am placed into ?

If I place Level 9 ships as SOLO   I am placed into level 8-11  yet I only get 30% why not the 35% ?

If you are placed into battle against higher ranked ships you should get the same credits the highest ship gets…

Economics
Improved ship profitability (in credits):
By 25% for ranks 4-6
By 30% for ranks 7-9
By 35% for ranks 10-15
Increased synergy gain rates:
By 20% for ranks 8-10
By 30% for ranks 11-12
By 40% for ranks 13-15

Well, acording to some response, dont remember if it was antibus or Error, we get higher synergy if we kill higher tiers than if we kill lower/equal tiered ships.

But i say thats not exactly true, because normally you would kill far less higher tier ships than equal tier, which essentially makes that tiny bonus completely unexistant.

Another thing, ive noticed that while playing T1 and T2, the synergy rewards for objectives are garbage. On a match (flying t2 and some T3 as enemies) i killed about 10 ppl, and assisted in the destruction of about 5 and since i was defending engeneers and snipers i got no points regarding the beacons that were there to be captured. My brother, killed less than half of what i killed (playing as some int, dont remember which) but captured the beacons a lot of times.

The match ended with me with around 1600 points, and him with almost 4000. I got around 5k syn and 90k+ creds, he got about 80k creds and 2,5k syn.

Thats completely unfair!!! It is an insult, why the hell they bother to put a capture beacons map if you get nothing for capturing the damn beacons?

And that’s when we won, because when we lose, asuming we make the same scores/kills, he gets 400 syn, even lower cash, and i get about 3 times the syn he made and more money.

I don’t quite understand. But if you don’t capture beacon then you don’t get points for that and the mission objective always gives you higher score than just killing others.

I did it the solution is SIMPLE.

We need some INCENTIVE for people to move up to T4/5

right now the biggest thing blocking people moving up is, basically, PROGRESSION (aka grinding for synergy and credits and vouchers). because the game introduced the grinding system, it shot itself in the foot. It basically said “Sure you can have higher ships and better stuff, but you are gonna have to suffer and waste your time before you do it.” normally, players would just grind the credits as the only obsticle and when you were a good player, credit gain was easy, and not when you were a poor one.

Make a weekend sale on T4/5 ships, with a GS to FS tweak. Incite people to actually get out of T3, cause I know that whole corps are sitting there. We have enough players to make it work, but its the game mechanics themselves working against itself.

Its the Loyalty thats the grind - not credits

So then thats the bottleneck of this game.

Only in relation to upgrading the ships modules past mk2 (unless you pay GS for modules which are stupidly over priced in my opinion)

I find it relatively easy to get the credits and synergising the ships to progress with a license - The loyalty holds me back massively

Im using Superkite and some games Shark. Awesome ships.

Vouchers are the problem. Nobody wants to fly against purple fitted T4 and T5 with their Mk1s and 2s.

They cannot get the blues.

And it’s a loooong way to earn those Mk3 blues if you started with the new system, even I am struggling getting all my T5s to full blue. It is actually easier to get purple now, it’s vouchers we are lacking… And talking here someone that had full storage of T4 blues and some T5 blues before the introduction of vouchers, I am still struggling to get that blue vernier engine upgrade on all my T3s, because I need more loyalty to color my T5s.

I cannot even imagine how it must be for a new player. The grind is endless, even with all dlcs and license (and I have all, and even with my old stuff from before, it is not easy mode even for me). But at this rate, getting full fitted blues at T3-T5 for a new player nowadays seems an impossible task. Maybe for one ship, but not all of them, and even than you need varried modules. I have hundres, upon hundreds of blue and purple modules in my WH that were easy to obtain before the loyalty change. And now? I really feel sorry for the new players. This is ridiculously slow, and insane without license/dlcs. Most new player will not reach fully fitted T4s or T5s even in the next 6 months, and SQ and higher tiers will probably remain as they are, because smart people do not want to progress. Because of loyalty.

Why fight in T4 against full purple fitted players from earlier days if you can stay in T3 with populated games and same level equipment? It’s only logical. There is no reason for new player to progress. T4+ will remain a ghost town until they reduce the loyalty grind.

Again, what exactly makes you think people actually want to move from T3?

T4 offers nothing different gameplay wise than r8 T3 except increased prices of everything from gear to repairs (oh and one or two new passive mods, woo).

T3 has reasonable prices and is populated, there is no reason to leave

Exactly as I said earlier. It’s more populated, and T4 gear takes forever to grind, most players give up on it with this new, 10 times slower loyalty system and stop playing before they reach it.

The ships are not the problem at all, it is the equipment. I see T5 ships from players farmed in pve all the time. Credits are not the issue, as much as the loyalty is.

And I think I can speak for everyone playing SQ that we would all much more prefer voucher rewards instead of credits/gs/artifacts. We have several players with 1000+ artifacts they cannot use, because they don’t have the loyalty to get the blues.

Again, what exactly makes you think people actually want to move from T3?

The higher ranked the ship the more customizable it is for a given play style.  The lower the rank it’s more or less forced to a fit.

I have over 2k artifacts, and enough loyalty that I could get maybe five modules.  I understand part of the loyalty grind is to encourage people to buy blues with GS, but looking at an R11 or R12, it would cost around 20k GS to fully buy blues.  That would be around $50 for one ship.  To buy a full set of blue modules for four T4 ships could end up being around 80k GS, or $200.  One T5 ship being fully fitted in blues would cost $100.  Upgrading just an Ion Emitter would cost about $15.
