And I have to ask again… what was the point of the Dev Blog if you weren’t going to get feedback on it from us?

 

People want you to talk to us more. TO us. Not at us. There are so many flaws that are glaring to us as a community, which we pointed out, and you ignored them. Now, when its too late to make any last-minute changes, you introduce a flaw so big it could well leave SQ a total ghost town!

 

Do you understand the point of feedback? No synergy in SQ is a terrible idea. It flies in the face of the whole “harder fights for bigger rewards” idea that this mode is meant to be built on!

 

Giving up half of your game to cater for an already near empty Tier is not going to help anyone.

On the bright side: No ESB in PvP… except for me, since I have to synergize some ships. 

Also: Some R13 ships really feel like a downgrade to R12. Point in case: King Nibelung, Viking. Its a tradeoff tho: Godlike R13 Implant or better stats. 

In that case I go with the stats (cant kill too much with the Viking anyway).

No Synergy??? Thats hard… gonna be tough to find t4/5 battles to synergize the ships. 

 

The squad-changes for MM only apply to PvP, not SQ, right?

Lat me think…i got just a lvl 9 T5 guard (synergyzed in PVE) and 3 more T5 ships all in lvl 1 sinergy. I bouht them during the 50% sale and never used them coz there was no reason…so i’m supposed to fly in the new sector conquest with that crappy stuff without any chance to gain sinergy and level those ships up? Are you presuming i’m gonna be meat for esb, nasa ecc…?

Sector Conqest is a new mode which will be further improved. We will collect our players opinions on the matter and will discuss them. Once again, thank you for voicing your concern on the matter of synergy.

Once again: good ideas, bad implementation

 

First of all - to clear all these pitiful tier complaints in current split SQ and Arcade modes

PVP Battles will be the _ former _ SQ system, but you will not fight for sectors themselves, just simple matches with the tier system (which is still flawed imo, but squad changes should at least diminish that feeling by a tiny bit). AKA the old Arcade Mode.

SQ battles will be battles between corps for domination of a place. If in reality you would have to defend your home or attack that guy close to you because you hate him what would you do, pick up the stick on the ground to your left (R5, T2) or get in the tank to your right (R14-15, T5)? OFC THAT YOU’RE GOING IN THE TANK FFS! Reducing SQ to split tiers in this kind of SQ will COMPLETELY DESTROY it’s purpose and hugely favor low tier zerg corps. Want the right to a contested area? Well show something off or gtfo.

I really can’t understand these petty complaints… seriously.

 

TL;DR - if you’re too low and don’t want to get stomped queue for the arcade, nothing has changed there; if you want to dominate sectors, well, prepare for war, it’s NOT something you hand over as ‘free cake’

 

And for god sakes please change the ‘PvP Battle’ name to ‘Arcade Mode’… we’re used to that already and will clear some of this tier mixing or unmixing bogus.

Sector Conquest schedule

There are two phases in Secotr Conquest: Fighting stage and Preparation stage
Battles are held during the Fighting stage
During the Preparation stage, sides are to choose a location the would like to try and capture
Cycle Schedule
Each cycle includes a fighting stage and a preparation stage
Fighting stage №1: from 23:00 to 2:00 CST
Preparation stage №1: from 2:00 to 11:00 CST
Fighting stage №2: from 11:00 to 14:00 CST
Preparation stage №2: from 14:00 to 23:00 CST

 

So in other words only 25% of the players across the globe will be able to actually fight for the sectors? Not everyone can be online at those  strictly imposed hours.

Change them to unequal times so they slowly (or rapidly if too slow) shift so every timezone gets a shot, not only the highly and blatantly favored ones.

This requires a HOTFIX till tomorrow, not an upcoming (or never coming) patch.

 

Can you tell us now about the credit/synergy gain per SQ-Battle? 

Is it the same like in normal PvP?

No, you’re only getting credits for these battles. The amount is, afaik, the same as in PvP. 

 

… come on now, are you serious? … change it to normal…

 

 

 

The rest are mostly fine. Can’t say more before actually flying.

We need that synergy on the SQ-Battles. We move the ships, so I see no logic not to gain synergy. 

Many players will loose the incentive to play SQ if they dont gain synergy. The battles will be hard and frustrating enough. 

 

If you really want/need to flag SQ at end-game: Maybe half the credit gain?

Please consider a hotfix to that.

Preparation stage №1: from 9:00 to 18:00

Fighting stage №2: from 18:00 to 21:00

Antibus, do you not understand where this frustration comes from? We have had this for months and you [not you personally, but “you”, the Dev team, collectively] still aren’t getting it.

 

Yeah, fine, you aren’t willing to totally change the core mechanics of Sector Conquest on a week’s notice. Fair point, but you don’t make that point! No spokesperson has ever said “it would be very difficult for us to change SQ so drastically in such a short space of time, so we will keep it mostly as is and gather feedback for a possible total overhaul later”. Even if you never intended to make that total overhaul, that still sounds better than “thank you for your feedback.”

 

But this can’t be that big of a chance, surely? Is this really something you couldn’t have mentioned earlier? Is this something you couldn’t have changed if you had a week’s notice? I’m not playing in the US timezone so this wouldn’t be an issue for me, but if you had posted it then it would have been red flagged the instant someone did the time conversion.

 

This kind of change… I don’t see how you could object to it. It’s not personal preference, it’s about allowing people to actually play the game! Why don’t you allow your community to help you with this stuff? Why do you conceal stuff like this when it only hurts you to do so? I’m not even suggesting you chose those times maliciously; the only reason I clocked onto it is I have friends in the US who I game with and I am aware of the very small window we have where we are both awake!

 

I don’t even have the strength to be angry about this any more. I’m just… lost, bemused, and left utterly dismayed that you still don’t understand what the problem is.

 

Just… why? Why is this your policy? How do you decide what information should be shared and what should be concealed? Why do things need to be concealed at all? Why do you not want to use your forums to their maximum potential? Can you not be a bit more forthright - just outright state what you are willing to change and what is set in stone?

 

I really, really want to see this game succeed, but I’m not sure you do…

Because having all valuable sectors and defend will be easier for ESB than having to fight for them. Therefore those suiting times.

Maybe a huge loyality vouchers bonus on T3 will give many T3 players a reason to be in sector conquest
