It’s really simple, Sector Conquest in it’s current form simply cannot work with such a small player base.
Ill stay jericho unless mu corp swaps, i have no control. However, i also have no viable ships
This isn’t even close to right. It’s like when you’re the fan of a sports team, you don’t just abandon ship because they’re doing terribly, or even if they’re doing amazingly. You’re in it for the long run, we’ve been with Empire for however long sector conquest has been out (4-6 months?), we’re not going to abandon Empire now because all the ‘good’ corps are on our side.
In fact, I’d wish that we could play against ESB/WPK in sector conquest, because it’d make the queues a hell of a lot quicker. Yes, ESB is better than us, but it makes the matches more challenging and fun. Most people see an ESB squad, and just stop queueing. We’ve gone head-to-head with ESB in t3/t4/t5 in 4v4 situations, repeatedly queuing against them. Sure, they probably win 60%+ of the time against us, but that’s how we learn. We don’t get better by face-rolling random pilots. I’d rather lose 5 games in a row in good, fun matches against ESB then to play 50+ games of easy, face-rolling wins.
We’re not leaving Empire because we have been, and will remain loyal to Empire.
Thats why the best solution would be to remove faction dependancy from corporations, that way is every corp against every corp. Just like it is on Eve Online regarding fights for “player controlable sectors”.
PvP battle is the same as it was before. Sector conquest is the only thing that changed. It is a new game mode meant for corporate pilots. Freelance pilots are not effected.
If only that were true. The MM is worse than ever. I was referring to straight up pvp, as there seems to be half of the day that SC is unavailable.
Although, it is a brand new feature, so that statement is true in tense, just incorrect in context.
Matchmaking on regular battles (normal PVP) it takes too long time…almost all queue battles takes 3-4 mins now at least…that’s a major minus…I dont speak about quality of MM…just that damn time till u start fighting…to decrease considerably…because before it was till 1 min waiting times, with the same low playerbase like now.
I reffer here about T2 queue battles…in T3 maybe it is even worse i guess or in higher tiers maybe it’s a nightmarish to wait long time to enter a battle. As before weren’t frustrating enough, now it’s worse.
Plus… ADVERTISE much, much more this game if u want to be a succesfull one…it has a too low playerbase because of that. If u can do a great job with World of Tanks (i see ads about it everywhere on internet/TV posts) and War Thunder (almost the same publicity)…why not with this game too? I dont get it…Why these are favored, but Star Conflict remains a Cinderella, barely staying alive?

They are trying to test crap on SC, so, they dont advertise because they dont want lots of people starting to play here, see that it is a complete crap and then never come back and spread bad word about it.
Thats the only logical explanation about their lack of advertisement.
Just my theory… but I think they will always have their prime player base in RU so it is the rest of the players that will suffer.

And you may be right. America/Britain is not their target audience. It’s the Russians who play the game. So if the game is going down and needs to shed a few pounds, it will most likely be the British and the American’s that get the ax.
Of course, that would probably happen after all the smaller, outlying gamer populations were slowly squeezed out of the picture, and their obscure servers shut down.
Which interestingly enough, brings me to the reasoning behind why Russian corporations aren’t having trouble with queue time in SC, while other corporations are. The Devs are simply focusing their efforts on fixing their home-audience’s troubles first. Once they have fixed the game to the satisfaction of their primary playerbase (the Russians) the fixes will begin to trickle down to the other corporations based elsewhere in the world. Which, of course, will make American corporations hopping mad because they aren’t getting catered to first.
Economics. Got to love them.

You’re right, but the problem comes when they join Steam and do an English version of the game, searching for a wider audience. It’s perfectly understandable that they focus in the Russian community if this where a Russian-Only game, but it isn’t, because when you launch your game in an international way, you must start taking care of everyone. Unless there’s something that we aren’t being told, in that case, we have a problem, a serious one.
It has been noted numerous times that previous timings, as well as the initial settings for SecCon were launched as a test. Please, refrain from further racial inclinations on the matter. We value our community as a whole, not as ‘Russians’ and ‘Others’ as you seem to be claiming.
If you have problem with empire in sector conquest, just don’t enter queue against them at all. Let them starve and see if they change their mind.
Some RU corp has Jerry logo and fight in Fed.

Then how will you justify different queue times for ‘russians’ and ‘others’?
Then how will you justify different queue times for ‘russians’ and ‘others’?
What do you mean by that, what exactly should be justified? Ques are same for everyone - world is a big place and in different locations day time may differ. That is why there are 6 cycles of fighting. So that all of our players may take part in SecCon. Two fighting stages were introduced in order to reduce the wait time - when there are only two windows of opportunity, there will be people to take this opportunity.
Our players didn’t like the initial timing - we’ve changed it to six cycles, so that everyone around the world may try to fight. But bear in mind that this change is also increasing your wait time.
If you are not sure, please, familiarize yourself with the following quote from patch notes:
Note: Sector conquest is launched in experimental mode.
Sector Conquest rewards are not final
Further changes are possible apart from extended functionality:
Rewards may change
Battle mechanics may change
Current battle results may change
Current time for fighting and preparation stages may change
I’m talking about queue waiting times, not cycles. I waited in queue for more than 20 minutes each on both sectors while the russian people on my follow list got 2-3 matches in that time
This gave me an impression that we were just being skipped and the matches were being given to other people. Same thing happened today

By default, you are placed on servers of your region and matchmaker tries to find battle for you there. Choose ‘Any’ or ‘Russian’ server, as it seems that players from your region are not interested in playing at their regional server. This action may improve your wait time, though we do not guarantee sufficing latency times, as these regions are far from your region and your ISP may have routing difficulties with them.
Today :
44 Minutes in “Any” and :
NOT A SINGLE BATTLE !
Yesterday :
60 Minutes in “Russian” and :
NOT A SINGLE BATTLE !
Seriously?
Well, then there may be a bug. Thank you for reporting it properly in [bug report section.](< base_url >/index.php?/forum/213-bug-report-section/)

I did. I always choose ‘any’ because in the past we’ve tried selecting different region and it always got us random regions instead of the selected one.

I’d rather play with 200 ping then waste an hour of my life starring at my ships in a hangar.
Two fighting rounds in a row now. Queued the entire hour without ever getting a game, watched Russian players get 5-6 games in that time.
I had my region set to any.
post here to confirm that matchmaking queue last hours without finding any games : [http://forum.star-conflict.com/index.php?/topic/21943-waiting-60-minutes-in-matchmaking-queue/](< base_url >/index.php?/topic/21943-waiting-60-minutes-in-matchmaking-queue/)
