Well, so far I only did one SQ: The waiting times are up to 30 mins. Thats a lot and terrible. But I dont know how to fix it. It depends on the player base ofc. Also I dont know how long the Jerry and Fed Corps are willing to stand the roflstomp they are getting (12 ESBs on one side, vs a few squaddies of other corps on the other side… thats instant loss).

I highlighted the parts that matter.  The biggest problem will be the corporate allegiance spread, the dominant corps are all Empire.

How is that better? With 30 min queues you might get one battle during the heour…if you are lucky

Revert to 0.8 MM style for now. Best quick option imo.

Also, and this is a lot more important than SQ, the regular pvp matchmaking is horribly broken at the moment and needs immediate fixing. Waiting for minutes in T2/T3 only to get a 4v4 in the best case is simply not acceptable, I never seen that happen before the patch.

Currently, PvE has about the only queues in the game that aren’t blown to high hell.

 

This is probably the the much-needed break from the game I’ve been looking for. If anything, I’ll probably log on just for the daily bonus until the matchmaking for PvP is functional in the way every other player expects it to be.

The MM for the “mercenary pvp battles” is more broken than ever. I don’t have screenshots, nor will i post any since all my previous screenshots were ignored, but they must have logs, and can see the Feces the MM is.

 

Yesterday, me and my brother were queueing in T2, to unlock some other ships, so, boring work. We were putted on an 8-12 players team, among all of them the highest “SR” were mine and my brother (around 1200, with exception when kipps was in our side 1 or 2 times) The other team had about 2-3 members of wpk, zappbranigan (dont know how to write this) and a TON of corp squads, not to mention that some of those corp dudes were flying T3’s (not a big deal, unless they are all squadded up).

 

My point is, for example, i fought about 5-6 battles straight, and ALL the ones me and my brother lost we could see that we were going to lose before the match started by observing the overall quality of my team, and the enemy team. Im not complaining that we were fighting wpk and zapp, they were flying T2’s too, so that was fair, but other squads (or at least seemed like squads) of 4 ppl from the same corp on the same side, some of them flying T3’s and we being raped in 2 mins when that happened.

 

As for the SQ, i’ve seen today that only ESB has any territory so far, which probably will be a tendence, i think in 2-3 weeks 90% of the territories will be in ESB control if not 100%. And for what i’ve seen on this patch discussion, battles take forever, T2 and T5’s on the same battles. All i could think of is a bunch of russian developers coding the game while drinking a truck of vodka (sorry stereotype) but currently the development is drunk, doesnt know where it’s going, and people are yelling that they are going towards an abyss and still they dont listen.

 

They made a gamemode that is not directly rewarding since you need to win the dispute to get the sector (and then get crappy bonuses in income) and forced everyone to rush for T5 as if it was quick to get to T5.

 

In wow, if they launch a new tier of content, all you have to do is level up to the new max level, and then farm gear (which to participate in starting endgame content doesnt take too long).

 

Here you have to grind months to reach T5 (if u are a proper player and not a newbie rusher) and then months to gear it and synergise it for only then to think about the new “endgame drunken design”.

 

If you want to force all the playerbase to NOT waste time flying lower tiers then make the higher tiers easily accessible. Now the SQ from what ive seen, for most of the players that have T5’s is to queue there to be eaten alive by people with full synergysed T5’s and full purple gear that plays for almost a year.

I would give a suggestion.

 

Since latest patch there are enormuos waiting time.

 

What if the players who are not in a corporation participate in sector conquest (sometihing like filling the empty spots in a team) for the faction they signed contract.

 

Dividing players at this moment is not the smartest thing to do because waiting time can be discouraging.

The problem Ludwig is that the developers design the game thinking they have 2000000 players to test, when in reality there are only a handfull of players that really give feedbacks, and those players are completely ignored. So, they design something for a bilion people to play, they cant test to see if it really would work with a bilion players, and when they receive feedback from ppl they disregard because THEY have only 1800 players online TOPs currently, whereas a few months back we could see 2300+.

Thanks, but, were the queues fixed? I can almost asume that 30 minutes for a game is a bug, it can’t be working as intended.

 

It’s because Empire was rolling everyone until [DNO] showed up at the end. Nobody was winning games against us, so they stopped queuing against Empire. That’s why we couldn’t find games after the first hour

[DNO] from Jericho. [Nova] from Federation. Both very skilled corporations. Neither fights for the Empire. It remains to be seen, however, if they can carry their respective sides of the conflict. They might win all their sector conquest games, yet still lose ground due to so many pilots from their factions losing to other factions over and over.

Thats not entirely true. I remember when Kipps sniped our captain as soon as he had his desintegrator charged (First Blood to Kipps)  :lol:

That’s just natural attrition. The balance of the game was bound to change. Some people couldn’t adjust to the changes so they gave up and played something else. The developers are aware of this. I doubt they’re concerned about catering to babies who can’t cope, though. This game is an intense one, filled with strategy and action. Some weaker hearts might not be able to handle it, so we wish them well and wait for better players to come in.

 

Also, it isn’t advertised in countries other than Russia because it is still a work in progress. Wait until the official release to settle on an opinion of the player base.

Cycle schedule

Each cycle includes a fighting stage and a preparation stage

Daily starting point: 1:00 GMT

Fighting stage lasts for 1 hour.

Preparation stage lasts for 3 hours.

 

It needs to be updated so that officers can select the sector to contest now. You can’t possibly expect a single person to be on enough to select a new sector every four hours.

Been in queue now for 15 minutes, 1/4th of the playing time. I’ve watched other players go in and out of games repeatedly during this time, and yet we have yet to be matched up. Speaking with them, we have the same parameters: t5’s, 4 man squad, queueing against the same faction and any region. Seems pretty unfair.

It needs to be updated so that officers can select the sector to contest now. You can’t possibly expect a single person to be on enough to select a new sector every four hours.

It’s even a problem in corps like ours where the CEO hasn’t showed up for more than 2 months, waiting for release version to maybe come back… I guess you will suggest to disband and reform or just spread in larger corps?

As for the new schedule, it will surely help. Last night the fighting phase started (midnight EST) and after an hour the 2 territories had no contestant. No battles had occurred from any front against federation… Empire was fighting Jericho, and there was probably les than 20 players in queue for sector conquest at that hour, for about 700 online.

So we’ll see tonight if we can at least get in a game in less than 15 min…

cmon, that was 1 match. HEHEHEHE and both captain died almost at the same time due to something i dare not to speak on this forum out of fear of ban. (that thing kipps said at the end of the battle).

 

and on that match, our team was filled with poor players, only kipps on our side, we thought, perhaps we can do some dammage. But tbh dont even remember how that captain match ended.

And now we’ve officially reached 30 minutes in queue. Spending half the playing time waiting around isn’t anywhere close to fun.

And don’t say we haven’t gotten into any games because of a low population. I’ve seen the same players from corps of the more Russian persuasion go in and out of at least 5 games in this time. The MM just isn’t selecting us for some reason.

After the first month playing this game, i started to think they were making the game exclusivelly for russians, since they only make things better for them. Better latency, better timing in SQ, and acording to some comment here, faster queues too. Aparently they will get all the money they can get from the russians, so they ignore the rest…

Last night we were getting consistent matches 4v4 even a few 8v8, until later in the night. Around the same time that Russian players came in and started playing, and again taking all the matches. I don’t think its a coincidence.

2 matches in SQ so far… avg. wait: 8mins.

I noticed you changed it from 12v12s to squad vs squad + additional loners. is that right?

Not sure if we get more matches this way.
