Bug Fixes
No ETA on fixing the other glaring issues with this patch then?
Not all issues can be fixed on the same day.
It doesn’t mean you can’t make an educated guess. Hell, I’d bet money that the camera issue can be fixed, or at least temporarily bypassed, by changing a single variable in the appropriate game file that dictates how far out players can zoom the camera.

While that may be true, getting in contact with the person who can write and apply this change is also required. It’s not just a open journal that anyone can open up and write in, let alone know how.
I’m going to continue posting the exact same thing in these updates until it is fixed, since that seems to be the only way we get listened to.
If you want to make money, introduce custom decals, paint, and ship parts.
better fix that gold stanard problem fast so we dont lose $$$…good job Devs…serves you right for messing with the loot…
i havet gotten one pease of loot using gold extraction…
this now reminds me of War Z…and thats not so good.
please lisen to your fans man!
I can only repeat that the feedback has already been forwarded and will be discussed.
I understand that many of us do not like the changes implenemted in the last update. However, keep in mind that the game is still not up to version 1.0, or is still , as I understand it, in beta. So, with this in mind, be prepared for new features and such that either you hate or love. Ranting and/or getting overly upset at the game devs does not help at all.

Thank you, sir. Looking forward to any new features or changes that may come.

I concur with the MrTwiddlez.
It is also difficult since the dev team lives on literally the other side of the world (from North/South/Central Americans). When we voice our opinion, we must also be sensitive to the fact that it might take hours for the appropriate people to view and/or hear about any feedback.
I agree with MrTwiddlez and ZEIK and would like to add that they aren’t doing this just to screw us over or anything. They are trying their best to make the game more balanced and fun. And yes they are trying to make some money off of it as well, but not everything can be free. Yes, I hate the new looting system and Frigate camera too, but the devs aren’t perfect and neither are you. If you are a real gamer, you will adapt. They have done nothing that is game-breaking, so either adapt or stop playing.
And yes they are trying to make some money off of it as well, but not everything can be free.
There are plenty of ways they could be making money with microtransactions involving cosmetic changes and upgrades. I’m not so ignorant to think I deserve a game that is completely free. My frustration is that instead of giving us incentive to buy fun things, we are being bribed to pay for items that alter core gameplay features.
As a real gamer, I am willing to fight for a game that I care about rather than walk away.
Really tired of them making changes to the game and not mentioning all the changes in the patch notes.
PvE, the punisher has his damage increased, now repairs all the ships near him. His personal shield regeneration rate has increased by a lot.
You would think them just spending the time to post all the changes might be in their best interest as a game studio. Shoddy patch notes really hamper their game. Tempted to start playing other games at this point, guess they don’t care about their player base to much. They seem to enjoy finding new ways of chasing them off.
And here is a tip for the Devs, in the future when you give a license bonus to your players. Don’t start the license until that player logs on, nothing like finding out over half a days free rewards is gone by the time I got home from work… Glad I got out of work early, and decided to play.
Definitely not going to spend the $100 I was planning on spending this weekend on this game. Won’t buy crap from them in the future either. Guess they are going to lose money with this patch, oh wait they have been losing money as their player base keeps shrinking, after every patch.
If the camera issue is considered -fixed- I’d like to kindly request that you “fix” it …again. Because I’m still staring up the tail pipe of a frigate in a rather unproductive manner. However the FEW times I’ve gotten up the patience to play in my interceptors, due to said horrid camera view, I have noticed a really interesting occurence. Nearly a third of the time I jump a frigate, specifically engineer’s, they flat GIVE UP an stop even trying to fight me. I don’t personally get off on “crushing” my opponent as their experience is not fun, an leads to one eventually being stuck playing by themselves. In this case, it’s yet another person with another reason to rage quit. I don’t find that fun, or productive in any fashion.
Engineer drones… any reason why they can’t at the VERY least spawn with a full compliment to start. Even using weeny unguided missiles off my interceptor I’m stripping them of their drones so easily they might as well not have them, because I can easily guarantee they don’t. I don’t think putting a large portion of the reason they’ve been nerfed into the easiest thing on them to negate was really a good call. They’re basically XP on a stick, free for the taking unless someone takes pity on them and comes to their aid. Any staff member spending more then 2 missions in T1/2 can easily see that they rarely receive the protection they need unless an enemy literally flies up the nose of their own teams fighters.
It’s worth considering, by this point, that perhaps what is “good” balance for T3/4 is NOT going to work for T1/2. Perhaps we might try an seperate them in some fashion so that balance can be fine tuned per Tier instead of this “one solution fixes all” mentality that has been breaking as much, if not more, then it fixes?
That said, I DO appreciate the effort your team is putting forth. I realize your trying. However as was said, there are many small issues that overshadow your efforts for your customers.
Undocumented changes - big nasty no no, as regardless of your intent, many will find this offensive, perhaps even negatively sneaky. The PvE changes were… I’m lost, beyond the first couple PvE run throughs, it’s going to be boring for vets… just document the changes, or even BETTER, give folks a reason WHY they were done, helps tons.
Changes to features that are popular and do not impact game balance - nother big nasty no no… camera view for instance
do the devs play the game? the punisher is really hard to kill even with a T3 ship set, now they made him even harder? couldnt they have at least removed his retardedly powerful pulsar?
Please fix the camera asap, it’s terrible!
Especially with Frigates, the old camera was 1000 times better! Half the screen is covered by my damn’ ship, I can’t see anything from it and cannot zoom out?! Brilliant idea, this one was…
I tried my tormentor and i can barely see the end of my wings, which makes manouvering very difficult.
I dont get the logic behind this: Shouldnt a frigate have a better FoV since its needed to control or support special regions of the battlefield?

PUSH!!!
You even deleted the v0.8.1 update #1 thread where mostly all pilots complain about bad camera. And the update #1 had a “fix” for camera. Actually it didn’t fix anything. Stop fooling us guys.
Listen to your community.
I wanted to spent more real money on the game but with your last update i considered not to spend any more. Put back the camera and loot and I give you all money I can afford for this game :).
Deal ?
When considering ‘fixes’ please bear in mind:
Basically, you have managed to insult both paying and nonpaying players. Well done. Seriously, there’s someone with some basic maths knowledge in your development team, isn’t there? Someone who can actually add up and substract, complicated things like that? Maybe he can even work with incredibly advanced stuff like probabilities…? In that case you’d had very soon discovered that 10/30% is absolutely ridiculous compared to before the patch. Especially if the real cash required for 30% is so damn high that after 15 loot attempts with it you have basically paid 1 month premium license!! What the…!?
I like the game itself but until these points are rolled back or fixed it’s definitely no more fun. (and if that’s no reason for you to bring reasonable updates, think about the money you lose)
Hell, want to sell monthly premium? Add in the 20% bonus to loot for having it, then add another 20% to pay gold standards on top of it, that way theres a total of 50% if your willing to pay for it.
