Should we expect extended maintenance? 

Oh I forgot to mention I think flares working on torpedoes is extraordinarily silly. How does it work exactly? They’re player guided, does player lose control if the person they’re targeting flares, if any nearby enemy flares, do flares make that target invisible to the player? Anything beyond the last one would pretty much completely negate Jericho special ability (torpedoes) to the point they may as well not have one.

If you’re the captain you can shoot them down from a frigate quite easily, as can your wingmen. If you’re in an interceptor you can easily evade them with a little awareness. If you’re in a fighter as captain well you deserve to die. I think this nerf is more for the sake of newbs and will be reverted in time as all the new players gain experience and realize that they’re not that good even before this nerf.

Bug with this patch: the extra loot chance from the steam pack is gone, I’m getting 5 instead of 6 for a win again.

And all of the other boosts like 10% bonus. At least I can still use my ships…

More upset that my acceleration coil was removed from my interceptor whos gun was nerfed last patch and its special ability was now nerfed on top of that. The missiles were a secondary thing that had limited uses one including self defense which still works, just a bit disappointed the devs considered it an issue. Are you mad that you’re bad enough to have considered Jericho missiles a threat is the real question. Sure seems so.

* “Acceleration Coil” can now only be installed on frigates.

 

This is a huge nerf for fighters (especially for auto aim heavy users), or a big boost for ceptors.

First victory of the day is now rewarded with double reputation and loyalty gain.

 

So happy for this change!

 

As for the balance changes lets wait till we have had time to test them before we all go crazy.

At the same time you reduced the probability to find any loot at all - right? First time today I had 1 loot out of five tries.

I think you just had bad luck, the probabilities for loot rolls seem to be the same

 

 

ok think ive found out how the Missiles are affected by IR-Flares… it seems to only block any movements of the missile and visuals for something like 2-3 seconds… because it has happened to me a few times and I can only assume it is due to a player near by using IR-Flares

Another Problem: the rapidfire railgun has now a Spread max from 2,7-8,2 ?? WTF

Finally tested some Jericho missiles, nerf isn’t as bad as I thought, just a few seconds lost control on the missiles.

Okay on another chat note, did you guys add some kind of time limit on global chat spam yet?  I thought someone said that was going to be added in this patch.  Something like a 2 message limit every 5 seconds.

Downloaded the latest patch this morning when I got up.

AVG Virus protection came up with a Virus in it, but from what I read off the net the file may not be a Virus.  A False Positive would be a good discription I believe.

BUT

 

Since that update I seem to experience lag/fps issues when things get hot, the voice of the announcer somteimes spazzes out and stuff.
