Yeah, I hate the patch as well. Between the ridiculous match-making and the absurd lowering of rep earned, my friends and I are questioning how long we’ll play this game.

I managed to play 2 games before quitting after the latest patch.
I don’t get it, the new matchmaking is great!
I’m having a lot more balanced battles as of recently, fights that are decided within the last minute, where either side was very close to winning! That should be the best example that it works, and if you came to NOT have a little excitement and a challenge you might wanna consider going back to facebook games.
Other than that, the only two really dislikable things are the new announcer voice and the ridiculously reduced value of loot.
Before you could get an average of 30.000 only through loot, now you couldn’t even rack up 10.000 with full premium, which, frankly sucks balls especially combined with the new ship selling model(I still don’t know whether that one’s good or not…)
So you should either make the loot value higher again (I’d say 50% of it’s original worth instead of 15) or reduce the prices of the ships again, because as of now, it’s a bite in the xxxx even for the premium users.
You are rewarded accordingly to your ranking amongst your team.
If you don’t beleve me, turn on detailed log ( /set cl_combatLog 3) and see for yourself.
* Changed the reward formula: effectiveness now plays a bigger role.
I dont get how it works. When i lose a T2 battle i get like 43-45k. If i lose it and end up at 1st-3rd place i might get 50k.
Just won a T2 battle on a 2nd place (from bouth teams!) with combat eff. about 1700 and got only 53k.
So with increased mk1 price, ships prices, reduced loot u dare to call this 8k reward difference a _ bigger role _ ?!
I will lose almost all that big reward difference if i die once. if i die twice this effectivness bonus wont even cover my repairs! Why should i even care about my team and take risks, if i will get only 8-10k more credits maybe?! This is defenetly NOT worth it.

Just lost another round. i was 3rd in my team with 830 combat eff. And guess what? I recived 54k.
1700+ points, 2nd place, win - 53k reward
830 points, 3rd place, lose - 54k reward
same ship in bouth battles was used.

My point is that they don’t listen to our feedback, just like they didn’t listen on the loyalty change. Here’s a week of 50% more loyalty, now shut up.

I love how they removed the ability to make full squads with basic license after a few hours. It sure looks good on the changelog, doesn’t it?
Thats pretty sad… It was like: aww you increased ships price, decreased loot amount, made stupid matchmaking, increased time in queue… but ok, you made squads for 4 players for free, beacon hunt and little bit better hud
Well, now without free squads the game is even worse, than it was before update…
THIS IS CONSTRUCTIVE: Current bug I am experiencing with this patch is after I switch factions I can accumulate reputation in that faction BUT if I relog any reputation gained does not increase in my current faction until I switch faction. Meaning every time I relog into the game I MUST change faction to gain ANY reputation. Please look into fixing this bug.
Non-constructive: I bought tier 2 premium ships where now if I play them I only get between 50-200 reputation… Even if I am the top guy. WHY?! This makes my purchases useless. Beta testing is one thing. Kicking me in the butt for supporting the game financially is just wrong.

This patch is downright failure:
Before the patch , 2 days ago this game was the best for me.
I enjoy this game alot back then!, this game is best skill based game , far better more balanced than World of Tanks (my opinion , i am WoT player since CB and i contributed there). I have a lot of faith in you devs back then , i even considering to talk with you guys to about an opportunity of marketing SC here in Burma. I am a CTO,Co-Founder of a software development company here.
But now , this patch is downright failure:

If they are not fixing this by next week , i am following u guys too and I will never look back again.
There are many new games coming out (Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous) i am going to trow my money there.
SC devs doesnt joke with nerfing, actually they dont nerf things, they blast it.
Biased poll is biased. Though I feel being minority for finding mixed tiers challenging and fun, so not many will care.
By the way… correct me if I’m wrong, but I recall point based rewarding was already there before. It could have been refined with the last patch, but I’m quite sure I got more cash when I scored better compared to others in the previous version too.
Such system can’t be flawless - I know no number represents my usefulness if I keep many ships busy on a 'ceptor while others complete the objectives - but it’s better than the alternative of everyone getting the same rep/xp/cash. Where would be the incentive to win than? Certainly not in the freshly nerfed loot of the winning team. :-]

Everyone with 2 brain cells can see how bad this patch is.
I am a new player and had a lot of fun with the game T1 and T2. I liked the game enough to purchase money to support the devs. Today I got 2 of my friends to try the game… and it was a disaster. You basically lost 2 new customers and probably any future purchases from me. Matchmaking needs to revert to what it was a few days ago ASAP if you want to keep the majority of your player base.
Please fix matchmaking so you can only go against the same tier… it was so fun that way.
I am will now be looker too. I will be stop playing this game for a while and see which direction it going.
If devs becoming greedier , i will goodbye forever.

‘I dun’ wanna pay for useless mk1 crap when buying a ship’
‘With this loot income, I’m glad I didn’t buy a DLC’
‘Subfaction rep is still bloody slow to acquire’
