Star Conflict OBT v.0.11.7 Discussion

40k is nothing, and you’re supposed to do it once every 2-3 hours to finish your contracts. I approve this patch, overall it’s very nice. And people complaining about the 5’th day licence are plain nutz.

But pls nerf the damn RT.

how is the biomorphs in PvP thing supposed to work and will the biomorphs give any rewards?

Binding contracts to the docking station sounds fun. Not too expensive either to change docking stations with credits.

It rewards active players more. In the previous system you could just go in and collect vouchers and walk out. Now it requires putting time in which is no big deal for people who go on every day.

Personally I don’t like the new daily reward change because Singaporeans have one of the longest working hours and shortest amount of sleep. But I’d agree that people who actually have some time to spare would benefit. +1.

PVE level change is great! You should have been using the correct tiered ship for whichever tier you were playing in the first place. “Oh boohoo… Now I can’t bring a T5 ship into a T1 PVE match and decimate everything cuz of my ‘skill’”. “boohoo now I can’t n00b it up and bring three T1s and one T5 to a T5 match and only use the T1 ships.” True there might be a longer queue but at least the devs combined T2/3 and T4/5. Be reasonable for Valhalla’s sake.

Makes balancing PvE a lot easier now that they are locked by tier.

What if they pick up the bomb and jump back to their unknown sector? :alien1:

What if they pick up the bomb from a detonation match in a sector, run away, and reappear in a CTB match?  :fed008:

The only thing I don’t like is the biomorphs in PvP and SQ. I hope this is just some kind of temporal event, because most players here were requesting the bot removal in PvP and you introduced new bots!!! I just hope they are not as powerful as they are in invasion.

I do have mixed feelings about this. I’m assuming these biomorphs don’t show up too often to become disruptive. Again, we’ll have to see how things go and adjust the frequency of their appearance later.

What a surprise; pointing out this patch is terrible gets your posts deleted!

:fed014:

Terrible patch.

Nobody wants biomorphs in PvP.

Nobody wants biomorphs in Sector Conquest.

Nobody wants to be forced to change factions just for contracts.

Stop it.

I’m very ok with paying 40k while doing 2 faction’s worth of contracts at the same time. Yes pls!

But pls nerf the damn RT.

Come to think of it… why no RT or aimbot patch?

My point is you shouldn’t have to change your hanger and Invasion spawn to do it. It should work like the old contracts, only instead of choosing Legion, Wardens, Armada, etc. You just choose Empire, Fed or Jericho.

I’d go into more details on the specifics, but I have no inclination to post a several thousand word piece of feedback just to have it deleted.

How are new players supposed to level up their T2 and T3 ships. It has always taken a long time to do so even whilst playing a T1 PvE with a T2 or T3 recon or fighter. Now it will take so long that people will just loose interest and play something else. If you wanted to increase the amount of players that would start and continue playing this game this was a bad move.  Adding social media lures and hooks can not make up for a product that people want to come back to so they can build up their fleet.

Game invitation

good update.

Invasion CBT
HUD

colorful & too big texts. Texts could be smaller & cud be add effect like kill/assist bonus if left side.

Hangar

Game Mode selection

Skirmish

under it  should be written PvP & PvE, reason the drop down box always hide behine chat box.

Please add a transparent button to chat box in hanger.

Contracts

better than OBT v.0.11.4 contract update.

General
Added manufacturing notification
New daily rewards:

better than 10k voucher for non-premium players.

PvE

previuosly there was a message box when you click for a PvE, now its gone in Attacked sector. too annyoning.

Invasion is more boring with this update. tiny rewards

Leveling ships is a lot faster/better in PvP, if you’re any good at it. If you’re not, fully synergised ships won’t help you much in PvP anyway.

For leveling up ships, PvP is much, much better. Your synergy rewards are higher. PvE is for credits.

I don’t get it, you seem to be a very lore oriented guy, and still it doesn’t make sense for you to be in the HQ of the guys you’re working for, while working for them? Specially since they are enemies as far as i know. And the only practical differences are:

  1. You do 2 factions at the same time.

  2. You have to pay 40k credits to switch.

I really don’t see the problem here. You just don’t wanna pay the 40k? Then go by foot. Nobody’s stopping you.

u missed my question about the biomorphs

I am very lore orientated, and that’s precisely why I don’t want to be changing factions three times a week! It is frankly ludicrous that a pilot could fight against Jericho on behalf of the Empire, then defect to the Feds, then join Jericho and go right back to the Empire all in the space of a few days!

The contract system isn’t set up the way it should be, and this isn’t the right solution.

It’s still a step into the right direction. Compared to before, when i swiched 4 times in 1 evening.

Also more practical, reduces the loyalty grind a bit.

Well ideally the entire Loyalty system would be scrapped. There is no need for it to exist.

Better idea would be to roll back to the old version we had way back in 0.7, where your overall “rank” with a faction was a fixed value and you unlocked certain upgrades after a set point.

But ultimately, from a mechanics point of view, there is no benefit to linking contracts to the hangar. In fact, there are only downsides; you potentially force pilots to use cosmetic backgrounds they do not like.

However. far more seriously, you make it so that it is more difficult to organise flying with friends or corp mates in Invasion Mode.

Contracts should not require you to make changes to modes of play. Period. I agree that having both race’s factions active at once is better, but there is no need to lumber punishments on top of that.

Plus, I would happily bet good money that the contract requirements have either doubled, or are going to double in the next patch.

With this update you have effectively limited the players choice of PvE missions. You are advertising an event that low ranked players have NO chance of playing in. And you have broken the game. Thank you devs for breaking a game I was really enjoying. I won’t be removing the game from my steam list yet but if this kind of thing continues you will be loosing players, you’ve already lost a friend of mine. Players equal money for you right? Well you’re loosing money. I had intended to buy GS and Premium, but now. No just no.

What the hell, Devs!? Why did you remove Blackwood T4? Where the hell are all the other missions for that matter?

Congratulations on utterly ruining PvE!

can someone tell me how the biomorphs in PvP will work and if the biomorphs will give any rewards??

Alright, since this thread is being read…It’s losing, not loosing. You’re not loosing stones at people, you’re losing a chess game.

I actually like this patch.

Though, some things could have been done a bit better.
