I’m asking since I had no chance to test it in a PvP yet.

 

RoF is limited to 100 instead of 300, so you can’t try fire rate shotgun anyway.

How?

 

Playstyle “a la Takamina” (One shotting with orions and then prices 1-2 hit follow up) is indeed weaker, but effectiveness vs Frigates and Fighters grew a lot

But still vs inties Pre nerf it had

4->8 deg spread

now it is

5 deg all the time

After E Guidances your final spread pre and after the patch isn’t going to be too much different, but it doesn’t grow so you don’t have to wait extra time for spread drop effectively wasting “aiming time”, now you can do multiple consequent shots if you are on a perfect aiming vector (your base fire rate is higher as well). So where you could fill an enemy with one charge worth of lead, you can as well put 2-3 charges in now. And again it is much-much better vs frigs and fighters now.

Which is pretty annoying because they come with 100 RoF out of the box already (with RoF implant anyway).

It was, got nerfed to 4° in 0.9.4. Which is why you had to be very close already to use it effectively, had to use electronic guidance(s) and could only first shot ever when fighting interceptors because afterwards the spread became too big so you had to let it settle first (which was fast). But now with another 25% nerf it’s just too much. For me at least.

What are you going to try? It comes with 93 shots per minute, and with the fed implant it reaches 100 (the cap) so you can’t use rof ammo or heatsinks because you wont fire faster anyway :confused:

Shrapnel RoF is capped to 100 shots/min unlike all other guns which are capped at 300, stupid. :wink:

I will post a video of me using my eagle B with the new shrapnels. But I fear If I post it, they might think its OP and subsequently nerf it further.

If you saw the latest dev answers post adaptive shields are possibly bugged, too, for not activating without afterburners in the forward direction. But if you post a bug report about it it’ll either get ignored or declared a feature again would be my guess (in particular given previous dev statements). So report away! :wink:
