Do what i do, since tasks refresh every 3 hours, i wait for 2 sets of tasks (6 hours) and just before the oldest set refreshes, i do them first, get the refresh and do every remaining task, which is about 10 or so tasks done in one go and if you want you can come back later and do the same again within that day.
I’m just a poor space pilot trying to earn a piece of cheese and a couple of ships…the credit/repair debacle…come on, guys…don’t take my money away…I already hate that you charge me credits for ammunition replenishment when I NEVER EVEN FIRED a round during a task…this is like fascist tolls and tariffs…help out the down-trodden! If this misposted…apologies.
Everybody don’t have time to do that.
150 Xenochips is too much with the actual Decreasing rewards. Previous Phases were good cause it was making people want to play to objectives to get the rewards. Now it’s forcing you to do it.

Yes I, too, have no life whatsoever and definitely do not work at jobs or attend university at all so I have all the free time.

you know you can remove ammo/missiles and not be charged for them?
And to add to the Grey box of death feedback - REMOVE IT. The killcam is now so long that there are now common scenarioes where YOU RESPAWN WITHOUT EVER GOING TO THE SHIP SELECT SCREEN.
New mission is not giving credit for kills in Abandoned Complex.
Man I thought I told people to spread this info around - every time the word ze’ta is said in the new campaign missions by extension the assumption is the ze’ta must be rank 9. If you have to kill them? Rank 9. If you have to use them? Rank 9.
To sum up this update for me in 3 mins:
- Credits income-nerf in COOP/MISSIONS/PVP/SECCON
*just to give an example, firesupport gave on level 21 around 700-800k, now around 500-600k Credits (on lower levels its not even worth to start the game…)
- Iridium - nerf for corps
*half of iridium you spend will be deleted.
- Locked items/sectors behind a paywall
All in all a very bad idea for a kinda semi-dead game.
You see I don’t understand why people keep calling it a dead/dying game. It’s anything but.
Sure there are a whole bunch of changes rolling out every patch that make it just seem like they’re pushing everyone away, but it’s all for good reason. Flash forwards by a year or two and you’ll still be here with everyone saying “wow what a dying game”.
People have been saying it since 2015, maybe even earlier, at this point it’s just white noise.

Steam players comprise roughly 10% of the playerbase.

If this trend will continue at this pace, than the game still has more than a few years to live.
The only thing that steamcharts link shows is that hardly anybody plays the game via steam. Big surprise.
Back on topic: The thing that annoys me the most about the devs’ update behaviour is how often we’re left wondering if a change is a bug, plain clueless change for the sake of change, or intended behavior with some non-obvious reasoning behind it.
Duplicators had the important use of allowing PvP-only players to engage in OS-PvP. Now, that’s prohibitively expensive unless you gain credits via PvE (or conquest rewards, if you’re in a top corp). Have the devs forgotten that? Or is there a plan to fix it, and the dupli removal was simply implemented too early? (There’ve been mentionings of an incoming OS overhaul since last year at least.)
Bonus points for being able to sell the duplicators for 500cr, while the exact functionality they used to provide now costs 100000cr. Yeah, that 0.5% compensation makes me feel better. Why bother at all with making them sellable?
Why was the 50% tax on iridium donations not in the patch notes? Is it a bug?

I knew you were gonna make excuses.
First of all it doesn’t (really) matter whether it’s 1% or 100% of the player base as long as you cannot link the decrease of player numbers to the platform itself.
You’re free to do the necessary research yourself. Check google trends or any other search engine and you’ll see the exact same trend you see in the steam player charts.
If you even want to take the most precise approach just check every weekly leaderboard and keep track of the active player number over time.
You are part of this problem; you neglect people’s voices and take their credibility while they are pointing out a major issue in this game. But hey, people have been saying it since 2015 ”)

Depends on what “life” means to you. The devs could just never pull the plug, does it mean the game is still alive? Does it mean the game is alive according to its own standards?

Anyone knows why Xenocrystals are 2gs up in price?

Fixed it for you.
People were saying that game is dying or plain dead even before it went public, and yet here we are, 7 years later

I recently came back and was loving the improvements. Made me want to stick to the game again. Now you hit me with this. I log in this week, get one of the newest-ish mission(pve). I ended up being quite too weak, few shots for the bots(new lvl system, we picked too high i guess, randoms) killing me. So it cost me about 300k per missions we ended up not being able to accomplish. I got broke. Lost millions. Along 15mins minimum of my time to lose credits and play to lose progress in some way.
At the current exchange rate, if you want to put a monetary value on it, it’s around 37 gold lost per 300k creds repair.
I came back and the game was worth the effort(getting the top end stuff), days after…that happen. Can i turn off that respawn in pve? Or you could keep repairs but duplicator system for respawn? ( I know we still can use dups but idc, i already lost 300k once a squadmate Dup me, because he cannot before my spawns are used, anyway).
But other than that, like i said, loved the stuff since. Only downsides, getting tai kin is still complicated, and getting Waz Got past rank 8. You did well on how to obtain the Hybrid destroyer. That’s the way to go.
