As much as i would love to see others enjoy the same content to the fullest, one cant dumb it down/make it easier for others just to compensate the lack of “thumb-skill”. Kinda reminds me of a semi-joke about Switzerland’s rush hours, when everyone has a rare car then nobody has a rare car. Long story short, you don’t wanna see lazy vigilant spams and similar ![:D](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006j.png “:D”)

Do you think the same players would be more impactful and detrimental to winning a game in any other role other than a destroyer while contributing the same amount of effort?

Even if they get them back to their original state skill will still make a big difference. Remember Cinnamon getting kill by a ecm in 1v1 when dessy where released?

So basically you want to be able to crush enemy without any skill, positioning or map sense… Just wanna dive in and be unkillable?

I started playing again recently and every game I’ve played (t5), destroyers have made huge impact – any half decent player generally makes it into top 3 score with them

Maybe you’re just not good at flying them?

I don’t know, some feel more confortable on other classes so they might contributing more. Take me as a exemple, destroyers are my main ship in the game so when i’m piloting other classes my play style will be different so my team mate will think i’m not contributing because my play style wont seem to help or affect the match in any ways, not a lot of kills or assist… imagine how dessy pilots felt when the dmg booster in close range and now static Shield nerf got introduced ![:(](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/003j.png “:(”)

Not What i’m saying, and positioning as alway been important even before the general nerf… want a broken ship? i think tai’kin is the best exemple

And before the nerf the only ppl that manage to decimate a team where the same ppl that today do the same thing in tai’kin, thar’ga.

Well, for starters I have been saying for a long time, that nobody should only play one role, there are 4 slots for a reason, and the game is designed with this in mind, doing the opposite of this is going against game design, which basically invalidates majority of complaints about relative power of different entities.

Second, in the current state of the game, in relation to ANY CLASS/ROLE it I possible to divide the gameplay into 2 parts

  1. Conditions when “X” build (role+class) is very powerful and impactful

  2. Conditions when “X” build (role+class) is mediocre to pointless

 

And when I say ANY I mean, any, including all the greenery and dessies and majority of silvers. 

It is detrimental that a player understands and differentiate (1) from (2) in accordance to what it has equipped, and not just a role, but the actual build on it.

 

Dessies are in the state that their build is actually relevant to the situation of the game, it is not always a good idea to take them, but it is actually possible to tune them to pretty much all situations, you just need to have multiple dessies equipped, combination of modules, weapons available to them and base differences between factions allows this freedom of customization, which allows one player to be mostly in (1) situation.

 

So no, I do not agree that dessies are nerfed to the ground (dirt), I think there are players using inadequate builds to the map+gamemode+opponents situations.

On topic, does waz-got not have AOE heals like… idk, every other healer?

Not one waz-got I came across so far had AOE heals they just shoot one guy with their laser (which btw heals too much, needs nerf) and ignore rest.

I’m guessing they all just equip the shiny new modules and skip on the actual engineer stuff.

 

p.s. saw a 90k survivability waz-got today

But with that nerf destroyer death cost me to much money so i have to addapt one that can deal with any ship in any situation

I think th’ak’len does but it’s not in t5 yet (100m)

What about the battle station? They probably didnt add any significant AoE heals so the Nanodrone cloud and the Mass Shield generator won’t be obsolete.

I was honestly expecting something like a few nodes dedicated to energy cap or something engi-like (at least as a backup option build), full on battle mode + how many kills=that many heals was totally not what i expected. It’s not that its completely wrong or something but its just weird, it would have been actually funny to see a 20k energy wazgot than a battle-ready fighter frigate with its own battle station and surv sky high lol it would have been a positive broken feature who knows ![:D](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/006j.png “:D”)
