In my 3 years of playing i literally made a mk5 weapon yesterday for the first time. All this time i played with mk2s and 3s and rarely mk4s so yeah, there is some “thumb” skill involved in making good scores. But, opinions…
Are you kidding, right? This is only possible if you play only 5 minutes per day or you just forget upgrade your modules. How many orange items we have in game?! One?! Two for each ship?! How much mk5 increases compared to mk4?! 3-2%?! And mk5 equipment is better than mk4 alien items?! C’mon man, you have to admit this not sufficient to considered in matchmaker system.
Generally speaking, scanning the modules and gear people use is not exactly necessary. If just the time in combat was taken into account, you would automatically get more or less balance. Given that a person with 50 days in combat very unlikely uses Mk1 gear/weapons. And even if, it does not happen often. And experience > gear anyday. Btw, sup guys

I am agree. But, like modules, players can upgrade your skills. This matchmaker sistem doesn’t encourages it.

There are 65 orange modules. TBH I’m build few this year after I couldn’t do anything with my monocrystals going to waste. Also - I can fully understand ORCA - there is ~3% difference between purple weapon and the blue one, while cost of upgrading from blue to purple is 150% of cost of upgrading from white to blue.

Time in game vs modules balance you mean? Yeah - it could work.
Let’s suppose all ships have the same rank for now. I am defending a totally random matchmaker sistem, not by skills and not by upgraded equipment. Ok, sometimes we will get one team with koromac, xlMaxlx, xkostyan, Deleted, Eugenius, Hunger, enemyLTD, DeadControl, Listick… (omg this a f*** overskilled team) the chance to get this team is 1%. But we don’t get ultra noobb teams every time, like 99% of times.

What is your point here? That instead of MM, we should just get 24 random players? I think you are missing something here. If you take 6 vgood pilots vs 6 vgood pilots - match will be fine, full of suspense, dogfight (sometimes) and tactics. If you take 6v4 - those 4 will almost always lose (I know Gizmo will jump on me for what I am going to write next) - it’s clearly visible in SCL, when 2 very good teams will match against each other. It’s usually tactical and brainstormy and fun, but if one player has issues with connection or game stability - the game is decided right then. Same goes with normal PvP, unfortunately.

Oh i played alright, i just didn’t waste my resources on any and every mk4 and mk5 on the way, i exclusively used monos to build ships and now that i have all the ships i can finally build my self some extras.
This is not productive, not productive at all. Please do yourselves a favor and stop feeding the troll.
Developers change the game based on feedbacks. If you don’t discuss, it is the same thing to say: “matchmaker is fine as it is… aliens ships don’t need nerfs… everything is fine…”

In regular pvp, very gamemode dependant, because you could arbitrary have similarly skilled teams but due to the builds, ships equipped and how much they are attuned to a current map+gamemode quite often you gonna get a very devastating score, even though game itself was balanced skill wise. Snowballing is real ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)
But that has nothing to do with the MM, but rather how our gamemodes are setup

I think you guys don’t understand my problem because you guys is not so skilled. I think other skilled players have my problem too. Everytime go to the loser team fighting (alone) against enemy teamwork “just for equilibrate number of victories or efficiency in battles or whatever it is”. It is fine 33%-50% of battles but 66%-100% of times!

Ok, I’d love to see the problem first hand then. Can I have your in game name, please? I’ll check your stats and try to get closer to them and see if I can reproduce that issue, ok?

This is not a bug or something like that. Any account i use this will be happen in time. But i can see matchmaker difference in “noobb” accounts.
A lot of issues regarding equipment giving the upper hand (ex: Acid Hydra vs Chiron or Silent Fox vs Tiger II) in battle could be easily solved if we went back to the tier system. A rank 7 pilot will likely be using modules from the T2 area, most don’t have a lot of things from the T3 area if they’re only rank 7, but a rank 11-12 pilot will likely be using modules from the T5 area… I know some people don’t see this as an issue, but I personally find it very problematic, it used to be worse where a rank 7 could fight a rank 15, but 12 is still very high compared to 7. When there’s that much difference between equipment level, skill matters not. I know someone is going to say that it does, but if we cloned a pilot (using this analogy again) so there are two identical players with the same skill level, then gave one a rank 7 ship and let them fit it however they wanted, then gave the other a rank 11-12 ship and let them fit it however they wanted, no matter what ships are used, the rank 12 will mop the floor with the rank 7’s face.
Granted, a tier system like the old one won’t work as well now that we’ve lost this many players, and queues would be significantly longer in 4-6 and 10-12, so I’m in favor of the difficulty level system, 3 levels of difficulty. There’s a game called Dreadnought (the game Star Conflict keeps trying to act like), it has a 3 difficulty level system. We can put ranks 1-4 in difficulty 1, ranks 5-10 in difficulty 2, and 11-15 in level 3. 5-10 is a huge rank gap, but putting Ellydium ships in difficulty 1 is a bad idea, a rank 5 Ellydium ship can waste a rank 5 standard ship, now consider a rank 5 Ellydium ship against a rank 1. I know someone’s going to make the argument that Ellydium ships suck in rank 5 compared to rank 15, and I agree, but standards also suck in rank 5 compared to rank 15. It used to be that MM wouldn’t allow pilots into lower difficulty if their skill rating (now pilot rating) was too high, and we can just as easily still use this, people with a skill rating over 5000 won’t be allowed into difficulty 1. Perhaps also we could make difficulty 1 ranks 1-5 and just make it so Ellydium ships are put into difficulty 2. There’s plenty more to say about this, but I’m tired so for now, this is all I’ll add.

I agree. We should get and be able to choose the game modes we want to play.
I really hope that you can vote in Combat Recon, I really dislike that’s all based on randomness and rating, which you can then intentionally manipulate as well.

Looks like a bad idea. Heavily increase queue time.

Not a problem if we get more active population, but sadly, there is no advertisement for this game, so there are hardly any real newcomers.
Most people can’t even stand to rank up all ships to Rank 6. They are too impatient and they think that everything must be presented to them in an instant.
Usually, they go straight to Tier V, by buying a Premium ship, fail, then they rage-quit and criticize the game, but at least they drop money.
Oh, but that’s how Gaijin business model supposedly works. But for how long? The game is not popular and the population is declining instead of increasing.
Current reviews of the game are mostly negative. This is not good!
