Star Conflict 1.3.4 Discussion

Nothing changed about the licence you say?

Please sir.

In proportional terms, the value of the premium licence has increased.

In absolute terms, the value of the premium licence has decreased.

Statistics, as a subset of mathematics, can be used to prove whatever you want it to prove.

I’m only fine with this if the cost of premium licence in currently drops by an absolute amount of the same proportion so… 33% decrease in GS purchase price of all licences please.

I hope the next patch comes soon, and that it reverts all the bad decisions of this patch.

We need:

  • 2 monocrystals per daily quest (without license)

  • 3 ores for e-bery and 2 ores for neodium plate.

You have to understand that giving the players more isn’t bad. It actually encourages them to play more the game, and maybe to spend something on it. Doing what you are doing now will kill the game pretty quickly.

In absolute terms, the value of the premium licence has decreased.

No, NOTHING has changed for LICENSE, it is a BASE value that is OUTSIDE of a License has changed

it was 2 base +1 license

Now it is 1 base + 1 license

@Niri, that is one hella of unlucky games, i managed to get same lootz in about 15-20 PvP games

Lets see…

Pre patch License (only for monos)

  • gave 50% Monos gain in Daily invasion (3 per day)

  • gave 50% Monos gain from Leagues quest

New License

  • gives 100% Monos gain in Daily invasion (3 per day)

  • gave 50% Monos gain from Leagues quest

  • doubles the chance of finding Monos in Loot attempts due to increase of loot attempts

So technically License just grew in value, rather than w/e bs you are saying regarding the license, on top of that it STILL gives you same 3 monos from Invasion NOTHING changed for license in this regards, so cut the crap about license.

Overall monos gains is a different story, so how about you complain about true issue, for once.

@Katovskiy!

Of course it’s 100%, because 50% is impossible with such numbers. That’s the exact reason, why it should be left untouched. You can’t split 1 to 50% with the current system.

Let me be one for you to do this for you, Katovskiy!

You think that it should be the promised 50% license boost, right, because I suspect that developers want to nerf the income of monocrystals even further now that it’s actually 1 time more than it should be.

Nerf the looting system even further, change daily OS monos, make us loose OS daily monos, if we die in OS, or we may need to restart and entire mission from 0, etc. It’s only fair for the balancing purposes.

Do it! Get to the choppa! We are the greedy ones, who are getting too much! We should be getting exactly what we are being promised! Not more, not less!

Here, there is a new scenario, which will make them happy and smiling, so they should implement it ASAP. Customers are unimportant.

Monocrystals should now be crafted from monocrystal ore only. You need 2 monocrystal ores to craft 1 monocrystal. Crafting price is 50000 credits for each component.

Scenario: 2 monocrystal ores for 1 crafted monocrystal + 50000 credits

New suggested system: (fair)

Without a Premium license you can get 2 monocrystal ores per mission to craft 1 monocrystal x 3 = 6 monocrystal ores = 3    monocrystals total daily (no license boost - basic account only)

With   a    Premium license you can get 3 monocrystal ores per mission to craft 1 monocrystal x3  = 9 monocrystal ores = 4,5 monocrystals total daily (promised +50% Premium license boost)

Show me a single line where i want it to be 50%. I mere stated facts that benefits of a prem license WERE NOT REDUCED, if anything it worth more in current game realities.

I did not say that BASE reduction is a good thing, but it has NOTHING to do with a license.

Idk why everyone is so edgy on premium issue, like katovskiy said, its the BASE value that decreased, the premium bonus ratios are the same, literally nothing changed.

Now back to the base stuff, i would much rather have 6 dead-serious and secure monos every day from the OS missions than the “possibility” of having 7 or more in PVP/PVE in this current state because => its random, just being able to get it does not mean i’ll get it and i’m sure that i WONT get 6 monos per day now even if i play ALL day long.

I agree.

I played more than 50 battles since the patch and I only got… 1 Mono. And less MkII/MkIV kits. So whatever the devs can say, we get less ressources.

@Cinnamondude: there is no reason at all for a guy who is not a veteran with all purple ships and enough experience in old squads vs squads to “look at leagues rewards”.

Such people can only be farmed in that game mode.

Cutting monos income and pretend that nabs starts playing leagues for monos reward it’s naive beyond imagination.

Cinnamon bun, you say that packages from the store weren’t changed, yet I am getting T1-2 Mk4 upgrade kits from my daily reward containers. The worst part is that they are completely useless outside of upgrading, which I don’t need to do.

70 games got me 10 impure neodayum. What was basically a whole day of playing star conflict. Ah and not a single mono

Look… this is really bad IMO.

Open Space and Sector Conquest got nerfed to bring people to PvP. Now… I really don’t like PvP or PvE as they are repetitive and force me out of my buzz. I like continuity and freedom, rather than keep going back to menu and waiting for queues. I believe this is no way to improve the game presence, as you should not expect me to play more PvP by stripping the other game modes from rewards and placing them on PvP. It only makes me sad about the direction the game takes.

I like Sector Conquest, I like Open Space and I think they should be connected. Maybe SC developers should consider it, rather than move the playerbase around. But instead, make corporations fly out there in order to improve presence in the sectors they hold, with assigments, effectiveness… idk.

The only way to improve PvP is to get a larger playerbase. Monocrystals in trophy drops are a waste of time. Of course it will be less than before. But I really don’t care anymore. If you think people should grind more to get the SP and Destroyers and MK5s… fine. But please don’t push me to play PvP like that. It takes my pleasure away and I’ve heard two players leaving the game because of it.

So… that means the total value of monocrystals with licence has gone down, the same as the total value of monocrystals without licence?

All I know is that Im getting less monocrystals than before, and I still have a licence.

That’s a change in my book. I’d probably go for mis-selling, but there aren’t many enforced laws in Russia anyways.

I also disagree with your assertion that licence makes it easier to find rare materials and monocrystals in PvP due to increased loot chances - most of the time, nothing valuable spawns in the loot spots. I would agree with you if this weren’t the case, but when 8/8 of my loot spots are credit trophies, it doesn’t make any sort of difference whatsoever.

It’s like the time when they said that nothing was changed about the Mk4 upgrade kit drops from PvP a few patches ago by Doombot, when no Mk4 kits were dropping for anybody in PvP loot round,

The patch after that, they reintroduced a small percentage chance of finding Mk4 kits - a chance much, much lower than it used to be 6 months before that.

Personally, I think the devs are barefaced liars when it comes to communicating with its playerbase. I mean, they generally make the following arguments:

  1. Do you have any evidence to back up your statement? (but they dont share specific information regarding loot tables, loot drop chances)

  2. Claiming something has or hasn’t changed, without showing any history.

  3. We’re trying to make the game more rewarding! (but they add more unique resources that add to the grind and reduce unique resource income)

  4. It’s not possible to share rewards we gave to new players… (but when the server lags, the new player missions come up to complete even though we cant complete them)

  5. NO! (with no real explanation as to why except they dont want to)

And the big one:

  1. Incomplete patch notes that conveniently omit nerfs while very prominently stating buffs, leaving the players to find out the hard way about what has actually been changed.

If it quacks like a duck, its probably a damn duck.

Cinnamon, is it possible to make a test group solely out of random players that want to participate in such a thing, for the sake of better feedback? I know you have one but could such a thing be doable in like really soon, the current feedback is kinda bad in general but they are good for some small details, that much i can admit.

They already have a feedback group.

I tend to agree. I think this is a push for players to play with Destroyers, sucking Open Space and Sector Conquest players to PvP.

This is bad. I use to play Star Trek Online. The PvP is horrible their and their is no sense of exploration. I like Star Conflict because of the opposite. Hence, I like to go into open space and explore. Adding Destroyers creates a PvP inbalance, then adding more Destroyers because of the imbalance makes no sense. If PvP is matchmaking it should be some ration 1 destroyer to every 2 or 3 players.

Open Space and Space Conquest is a untapped market and Star Conflict should be trying to push it to its limits.

Yes but they failed to catch major things like this. Hence why 80-90% of the active community complains and whines for the next week after each update.

They already have a feedback group.

Thy used to do public test servers but I guess whoever set those up stopped.

Thats why im asking, seems like it would be great to open it again.

Everybody with a license (or not) is getting less monocrystals, but the license is not a guaranteed amount of monocrystals. In this case it’s a percentage. This percentage is not changed to worse with the update.
