Spamming wasn’t my intent. In other forums that seem to use the same type for system as this I can copy, paste in quotes from multiple posts, and it all works as it should. In this one it didn’t want to work that way, as all the quoted sections got converted to indicating the same post, not different ones, at least it did that in the reply box at the bottom of the page. Did the same in this post too, let’s see if it turns out as it should in the final post.

 

 

 

 

We are planning to add destroyers only for high ranks. 

T1 and T2 supposed to be recreational zones in this mode, T3 should be challengable, after all this is the last available tier in this mode now.

Since player vs AI only goes to T3, at least currently, T3 would be the higher ranks, and it’s already rough going at times, two players using destroyers still turns it into a shooting gallery for us though. People have been pretty vocal about their complaints regarding dealing with destroyers in PvP, if destroyers end up getting added in with those same sort of massively boosted stats, then anything short of a full wave of player destroyers will get spawn camped by the AI.

 

Also from what I remember they used to give a rather mixed bag of AI controlled ships, now it’s pretty common that you get nothing but each having recon, gunship, and long range, then at times they all pick gunship, that’s not fun. The spawn buff that prevents you from taking damage lasts so long, and they’re so fast that they can get to the beacon with it still up, add their excellent aim, and longer range due to higher rank weapons to that, and once you fire a shot, which proves ineffective due to said buff that’s still up, they all just seem to lock onto one player, after the other in unison, and mow everyone down in seconds, seen that happen different times. I get the idea of it being made more challenging, as it was too easy before, but short of at times abusing their stupidity by being at the next beacon just before it activates, while they’re still camped at the last one, or just going easy mode, and pulling out a destroyer, I still feel you guys went too far with it.

 

 

i understood you, you can craft all this parts without career missions, what is the difference if they will be available as ship parts at once? Event just will be harder to complete.

Crafted ships are sort of the ultimate desired ship, especially with all the design options they have now, which a new player would still be unsure about even if they did just get a rank 15 ship. They really should be more the reward for playing a long time, not just handed to people. Typically in the level up boxes you get in other games they give you things like XP boosts, in-game currency, and equipment that’s nice to get for a new player, but still not as good as the stuff you can find, or craft. Here, you guys are just handing new players the end game top-of-the-line ships just for ranking up, it’s too much.

 

 

Of course it doesn’t mean so, we just want to help people and explain them that there are different ways.

If it doesn’t mean that the open space method is currently flawed, then why would you even need to so much as consider adding broker missions as a permanent thing? Having an event to help get more people using the new character/ship is a common enough thing in games, but that’s just to make them more common at the start, if you need to help people get those items from now on, then that tells me that there’s a problem in how we get those items.

 

 

What’s wrong with the fact that player can adjust his ship before start of the battle? If it’s beacon hunt - you are choosing fast ship and have advantages vs destroyers, if you it’s not you just choose destroyer.

If the match maker uses who simply has said ship in their current roster to balance, when some didn’t even plan to use said ship but just happen to have left it in their roster as they use it in other game modes, then you don’t get balance, as all the other side may use them, while your side doesn’t. Also people do like to swap ships at the last second you know, so can’t count on people sticking with their currently selected ship, so you may think none of them are picking their destroyers anyhow, then they all switch to them at the last moment. You can’t just change ships on the fly all quick, and easy during a match either, depending on what’s going on there could be quite some delay (which in these shorter matches means more than it used to), then in some modes you don’t even really have the option to just swap ships since it means scrapping your current one, which gives the other side a “kill” from what I remember, in combat recon you may not even have that option anymore if your captain is dead, and in another you only get one spawn per ship. Then as another pointed out, it seems to only try to use that to balance the initial group of people, not those that get added after, so one side could get four more looking to use their destroyers, while the other doesn’t get anyone with destroyers.

 

Maybe destroyers just shouldn’t be allowed in regular PvP at all as they’re just too different from everything else. After all, why else would you seem to need to set up the match maker to put people with destroyers, against other people with destroyers as the means towards balance.

Glad that you appreciate these tweaks and additions. About Leagues during US prime time, sad to hear that, we made time more convenient fo U.S players, but aparently it’s still not enough. Maybe people with T4 destroyer will change something. Btw we are working on Leagues evolution right now, i think it will also can help.

Also, the continued destroyer push is really, really getting tiresome. They are destroying Star Conflict. The game revolves around them now, and they’re basically forcing out all the other playstyles. In most game modes destroyer spam is the best course of action. The idea that they are already corrupting T5 is really troubling, as it means the only place left for REAL PvP matches is T2.

 

So ya’ll force destroyers down our throats. We all get them. Then you force us to play them. Some like them, others hate them.

 

“Oh but you just don’t know how to fly them,” some say. No, I know how to fly them. They are just awful. I want to fly gunships, or commands, or engies because I like those ships better. Not gonna happen in PvP. You’re going to get killed because every PvP match rank 7-11 (that I’ve tried so far) always, -always-, ALWAYS, have g*d*mnd destroyers in them. Not just one on each side. No, it’s like six on each side. Then it devolved to destro vs destro.

 

I’m over it. 

 

It seems pretty obvious you guys want us all to just rage quit. If that wasn’t your goal, then you should really work on something that pvp players can still play. 

 

Maybe split pvp into two (Pvp w/ destros, PvP without). Oh  but wait, you already don’t have the player base for that. 

 

There isn’t much I can say that I like about this patch because now I can only play t5 or t1 PvP. I don’t mind farming, but after reading some of the comments about the low frequency of B drops, what’s the point? 

 

I’m never paying 200gs for a single use item. That’s just plain dumb. I’d pay 200gs for the blueprint… 

 

I’ve given you guys quite a bit of money since October when I started playing. These destroyers make me feel like I wasted all of my money.

Isn’t it obvious? Sit in the dark corner and wish that I existed.

So far this update is moving things in the right direction. Though things that are exclusive should remain exclusive because that’s what makes them special. When Nyx was added to DLC i just kinda couldn’t even, because I had worked all of those tedious missions every day for that long.

Anyways, loving the patch, but beryllium does not drop at all. After about 70-80 mysterious containers I have gotten zero (0) beryllium, but a random cargo drop contained a single ore. Please for the love of all things destructive increase the drop-rate significantly.

Still no squads in pvp, boring patch. Rest of the content isn’t interesting, couldn’t care less about new ship types/maps in pvp as long as there aren’t squads of 4 to play with and against. How are new teams meant to form when new players just play solo vs destroyers in t3 and will never reach leagues/sector conquest. Who is going to start a new corp when they can’t play in a squad with their players? How am I meant to recommend this game to anyone if we can’t play together in the only enjoyable mode of the game?

To my great sadness I have to say, Russian forum, on average, has more common sense shared between players, and even though it has 10sx more people, it does not have as many cry babies.

If it is still possible you make a screeny, attach logs and make a bug report.

Hoping we will get 4-pilots PvP squads back, and for destroyers to be balanced

Max ranged EM weapon destroys everything in it’s radius, damage is so high you can basically ignore any drawbacks and make it shoot 10k with no consequences.

SPAM 2: apparently there’s been some MM ninja changes. It’s not +/-2 ranks anymore. Went with full R8 roster ships against at least R11.

And if you look into the patch notes, you can see that MM takes count of destroyers into equation, so such instances are NOT intended now.

Halo gun has huge AOE, which does next to no dmg, and then there is core that explodes. Unlike all explosive weapons in the game - coil mortars, flux, kinetic superchargers, the Halo’s core does NOT have a proximity trigger, it must hit dead on, like rails or gauss for example, otherwise it will not explode doing next to no dmg.

It is great to hit stationary slow moving objects, especially great at tearing other destroyers apart since it can bypass Static Shields, even better, they makes it much easier to explode. It is like shooting a supernova bubbles from 3k range, you aren’t gonna hit much except for specific targets. But havign so much range is indeed to much, since you can spamm it into beacons that far away, on a contrary it makes LRF cry - wasn’t it what most of you asked for for past years?

I’m still 12 berry away from my Sybil and I’m dying because no amount of grinding in OS is yielding beryllium.
