So, this is my second post on this forum, after almost 3 years playing Star Conflict.
Well, direct to the point: Destroyers really need some sort of balance. It’s is overpowered. Why?
To begin with, the role name and description. “Supressor class - huge ships, bla bla bla, capable of supporting they’re team”. After all, they’re not supposed to be the MAIN firepower like we’re all seeing these days. Tree, four destroyers each side… That’s not a support class. That’s a main role class. We do not see often a Long Range Ship taking a beacon, or chasing the enemies cap. That’s not they’re role, they’re not supposed to do that. I mean, destroyers are doing everything, except, I must say, for healing others.
We need a limit of destroyers per battle. Two per team would be fine, one in smaller matches.
Second: PVPs maps where we need to capture beacons. Fast ships like Recon are indeed designed to be the first ones approaching the beacons. Well, that would work if it was not for a huge ship near the beacon.
Solution: a completely new mode for destroyers, which would have more players, like big battles in space. That’s the only way i see to fit this class. Small matches does not support big ships.
Third: Gravitational Lens. What were you thinking, Devs? That’s a vacuum cleaner in the middle of open space, grabbing everybody and killing everyone, without any means to counter it, except for Wormhole projector, micro-warp etc. It’s really overpowered.
It does need, to not say that it urges, a tweak, nerf, whatever it makes to be able again to play with this module. And matchmaking really needs tweaks too, rank 8 destroyer vs 11 does not have any chance.
I do like destroyers, and I am currently designing my ships to support and to destroy them. I want to a destroyer specialist. But I really have to say, they’re are corrupting the game, disrupting the roles. I like big ships, slow but steady, missiles storms, deathray, but i do not want it to destroy StarConflict.
Please do something!!!
