it is still an open option to make an interesting youtube channel where such things get summarized, but while i see the devs doing a lot of these things, i think you just have to wait until someone takes  this also up in SC, coming not from the staff. they really do not have to transcript a life stream as part of their presentation.

this has to come from us, or not at all.

I know, but that’s not always something ideal for all things. The good thing about channels trying to summarize interesting stuff is that they are made for the players & viewers, not for the content creators - creating more independent thoughts. Now if the hypothetical youtube star who makes good SC videos also enjoys his GS without losing focus, good for him - but I think, people who earn GS for community work should probably try to avoid presentations

There are even the possibilities of using streamer accounts anyway, to allow bypassing playtime - but then again, you would like your youtube star to actually play the game like a mortal, with skill. It’s rare to have this gift of the “right person”, which is why I finally think, both offers are really awesome from the devs to have, and they are there, officially, but they wont make the biggest win of all more likely ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)

It is however a good incentive for people who are actually already from the community, like people reading this right here, and see such opportunities as helpful - e.g. transcribing dev streams into the forum. So yeah, thx Papitas for reminding, that there is official support for making more useful content, almost also because I always wanted also to note my concerns to it aswell ![:p](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/004.png “:p”)

Just saying, the biggest hope however, have a really fluid channel cover SC would however possibly come from someone, who isnt interested in GS at all ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”) Also, because rarely a good utuber only covers one topic. What they are interested in is viewers.

Honestly upgrades have been so screwed over that outside of T3 I don’t even try any more. The whole new system is awful.

If it is forcing you to unequip it to upgrade it, it’s a bug. If you are trying to craft a Mk5 (orange) version, then you are required to unequip it.

Yea totally…i’m try to upgrade the r15 coilgun to mk2(trying to make kosty gun build^^) but if I re-equip the thermoactive it remove the coil from research. somehow it only occur with weapons, not modules.

 

 

And it take forever to upgrade…

I like wikis. I filled a few, but unfortunately I haven’t currently the time and mood to do such things. They require a lot of work and time invested to fill and maintain them. :confused:
If I would know how to introduce things and such I would make the OS related things.

Electrum can be earned in pvp and pve loot-search, right ? But what about those activators ? Aren’t they available in trophy search too ?

All that stuff sounds weird… why simply not maintaining the old system just like with the Sirius ? Or is it supposed to cripple enough the players who didn’t get that ship at the beginning to incite them to handle out more (“real”) cash for the next not-so-secret-as-pretended-Ellydium-based Alien-tech-ship-event ? (or any kind of upcoming event actually)

You only get activators with quests (broker and gage) and they brought the activators in because nobody should easily build them at their release as far as i know.

If it’s supposed to be so, why those activators ONLY for the 2 last destroyers ??? Sorry, but still makes no sense to me : the event already started with the Sirius, so for equal chances ("equal chances… sounds quite… strange, doesn’t it ? To get the ships, they should have engage such modification at the beginning of the event, not as “last-schedule-decision” due to unexpected an excessive succes of that event…(I suppose we both know what it means… sadly…).

Well, let’s hope they’re not goin’ to maintain those activators after the New-Year release… Those ships where supposed to be rare (maybe very rare (maybe epic (if I can call it so) ) ), but not nearly impossible to get, considering that:

1# Surely with time, some other (stronger and more and more rarer) ships may appear (so yes, of course it will take some time until that occurs (except the event-ships like r14-destroyers, alien-tech-based ships and some others…), and the legendary “TIER 6”-class appears to be clearly an illusion for quite some time ^^, even if we can suppose it will become available once the game experienced enough updates/evolutions  ;))

2# electrum may become already rare enough (the 3rd rare destroyer-crafting ressource, that must be something to hunt for once the events are over…), so I don’t think activators are usefull when it comes to rarity…

What about that new faction actually ? Pirates, Cybers (no… Revenants shooting Crystallids (and Crystallids shooting them)… won’t happen anyway…), Inquisition…

Surviving precursors ? (Let’s hope they’re not as superior as pretended, or else the fight may be too easy…    XD  )

Some kind of Alien-tech-experts that managed to survive the mysterious “Northstar-Operation” near leviathan (Doctor Pavlov eventualy survived it ? maybe yes, maybe no… At least would explain that strange human flying a crystallid ship in the last announcements…)

IMO the new faction… Won’t be a new faction. 

Our tree factions all have their own specific pros and cons. 

Empire get hull, but slow and no shield 

Federation get speed and energy, but both low shield and hull. 

And Jericho have medium speed, good shield, but crazily low hull. 

 

With our current stats, the only “unique gameplay” we can have is medium of everything (because other stats aren’t core to the gameplay). 

Or maybe, an advanced ship crafting, where you can increase hull but indirectly decrease shield and speed if you know what I mean. 

But that’s a really complex feature for not that much use in the end. And it requires at least 15 new models for standard ships and 3 for destroyers. 

 

What we know for sure is that the new faction will be Ellydium. After all they are constantly speaking about Ellydium for a while now with their research on live crystal and destroyers. 

And Cin already teased that we’ll need live crystal. Who use them already ? Ah yes, Ellydium.

To be exact, Cin answered at something like “Wait for december, I hope you have some live crystal left” to a topic in the suggestion category. 

 

We also know for official sources on the Russian forums that the big update will bring r15 destroyers with 10 slots. 

But wouldn’t that means that r14 destroyers are going to be useless ? So they spend their time to create 3 unique destroyers with their own modules and give them in a 3 month long event for nothing? 

No way. 

 

And here comes the funy part : What was the suggestion where Cin said “I hope you have some live crystals left” ? 

It was a suggestion from another player witch was really close to my theory about the new faction :

Upgrading ships by increasing their rank. But that would be a bit lacking if it was just a rank increase. 

 

My original theory ? 

That the new faction would be a ship upgrade instead of new ships and classes. But where the ship upgrades would not only be a rank increase, but also add slot of your choice.

And maybe allowing you to add new passives, or have access to new role special modules. 

 

 

Annnnd that fits perfectly all the things I said above. 

  • Not too complex but tons of possibilities

  • No need for a lot of new ship models but works with the 200 existing ships

  • r14 won’t be useless

  • And we’ll have r15 destroyers based on alien technology with 10 slots, which will in fact be r14 destroyers once upgraded. 

 

No hunter for fox swifter?
No deathball of doom and destruction for anyone else(if we could capture it)?
No alive biomorph for what-ever-the-guy-wanting-it-is-called?
No mini-destroyer ‘Andromeda’ for us?
No mighty jump-to-any-sector-or-specific-ones rift?
