I’m completing EVERY SINGLE Broker-mission since the vigilant is out (unable to do so before, not enough time and no interest in the previous ships…)
I can only earn electrum through Gage’s assignments ('cause I don’t have a r11 to earn activators…)
Am I supposed to earn enough electrum and destroyer activators before the event is over ?

P.S: and, yes, already tried to find out by myself, and the final sum of gathered activators after 2-3 weeks appears to be dangerously low… Maybe the reward is increasing the more the event is goin’ over ? not sure, hadn’t see much of the last 2 one’s
If you don’t have an r11, then no r14 for you. But this event give enough to craft one r11.
Yeah unfortunately you need both r11 and r8 to get all the resources. They will probably bring back the destroyers later on, but could be some months is all since this is a “get it before anyone else” event, and those people need time to have the exclusivity lol
R11 destroyers aren’t too bad anyway with the current rank buffs in pvp and is great in pve and os.
I, yeah loot got MUCH better.

BTW, why did you change the rank of Photon ?
I mean, all destroyers modules were r8-r11 and r11-r14, and r12-r15.
Now photon is the only module that doesn’t follow this rule. Which also means that you can’t equip r11 photon on r14 destroyer.
Is it to force players to get the t5 photon instead of t4, which means much bigger energy cost ?
If yes, why not do it for all modules instead of just photon ?

Some of you may have heard that I’m working on a theorycrafting application for SC where the datas are loaded from russian/English wiki.
But I’m facing a problem, and I want your opinion on it.
Problem :
Datas are generated from nearly nothing. TBH I parse the module’s description, looking for keywords such as Increase/Decrease and stuff.
It’s working quite well. BUT, there are some limits.
An example is the alien destroyer gun.
Projectile speed have a cap of 2000, but the description don’t specify it at all, so my program can’t find it.
I have a small idea about how to fix it, but it requires a manual edit.
Since it’s a tool for the whole SC community, I wonder :
What would should I do ?

I thought the end of december update would only focus on faction thingies/whatever but not or only a bit of OS addition at max?

Cin said the big update is the 20 December.
The big update is OS rework and the new faction.

The OS changes were expected for ages but continuously delayed because of dreads and stuff that kept coming up. New faction has been hinted at and in the pipeline for about a year now. I’m guessing the Ellydium ships will finally get a place in their own tree.

They will, but probably not without some rare materials, like live crystals, monos, iridium, neodium, beryllium. Who knows…

I just hope we’ll not have to manufacture each of their ships! cause I know when dev’s think about vet’s everything become almost impossible to get.

Hearing is much simpler than transcribing, and devs have much more important stuff to focus. Perhaps someone like you could do that work and save effort to the rest ”) Btw i still dont get why you demand to get non vital information (that may also change) on something you did not looked at…if you want to know everything, then look everywhere.
Transcripting is very easy. Or do they simply have speaking diarrhoea during those twitch streams? I doubt that. They have normal points discussed/written down before to know what to say in those.
And I’m not gonna wasting my life time to watch a bad quality stream to get things I don’t want(speaking about Vigi) just to get sidenotes of something important for me(information about OS).

i mean i am used to that aswell in todays world because some such broadcasts get viewed and reviewed by others - but i am still aware, that this is something coming from people putting in work - and usually it is not done by the devs, but other streamers
it is still an open option to make an interesting youtube channel where such things get summarized, but while i see the devs doing a lot of these things, i think you just have to wait until someone takes this also up in SC, coming not from the staff. they really do not have to transcript a life stream as part of their presentation.
this has to come from us, or not at all.
