Instead of messing up the ship-trees and having Elite ships scattered across the different factions, why not have one separate tab for premium/elite/pirate/custom/alien ships? It could be arranged in to Tier, Ship-Type(Inty/fighter/frig), or simply factions.
well, does this mean you like to have an additional tab for same stuff, just the “special” ones.

I mean having a tab for ships that don’t really fit in to factions, or have special traits. Like the Razor, Loki, Blood Tormentor, Octopus, Mjolnir, Caltrop, Sawtooth, Cutter, mauler, or other special ships. Also pirate ships.
