Beauty of this is you only need to do this once, then they become so nervous with you around that they totally forget about sniping and start chasing you.

You guys are defeated even before you hit the Fight button, you already go in expecting and almost wanting to die instead of finding ways and means of fighting back.
Where did I ever say that? Inty’s will kill frigates 1v1 just about every time, I’ve said this in every post I’ve made on the topic. Stay behind them and out of the mines they drop and you’ll be fine.
And anyways, I was talking to beerstein about taking out multiple frigs with one SD module.
there is one more thing i seem to see people completely ignore with those whole thing EVERY!! fighter ship can get around 9km+ basic weapon range -.-
so i dont really wtf all the crazy whine and call op on snipers able to hit from 10km is about… and to make it extra the 9km+ is an INSTANT hit, if your on the cross you get hit no matter what you do, the snipe shot got less dps and have a travel speed so it can be dodged and you can actually miss with it even with perfect aimed shots, and its alot harder to aim with it and your forced to ONLY thermal dmg while the 9km is either thermal or em you decide giving you a much easier time figuring out what you fight against.
ps: i dont know if there is an active hardcap on “range mod” increase but i doubt it
btw i rarely ever use my disint these days its simply so much weaker then my standard laser shot, less accurate, doenst fire much further, can be dodged, you are locked in place while using it, low ROF, low vision and awareness -.-
Slight irony here, the frigates better closer ranged weapons were removed at steam release. (at least the tier 2 ones were) those need to be brought back for Steam players, the issue may stem from this now that I think about it. Also 2 weapon mods for tier 2s (which only have 2 slots) is a little underwhelming, nothing wrong with a tiny bit of variety even if it’s 3 items.

if the all frigate of the team is together the team the win is almost right.
if one frigate is near of the fight the downed is almost right.
my personal very first question would be… why for god sake is there a sniper weapon in a space war game ?!? Is it to get some COD kids into the game?

i expected fromt a big bulky ship in a space game something like a slowass tanky brawler…like a battle ship… not a Deathstar…

I’ve always thought snipers were a lower tier problem. At T3 and 4, your main guns can get so long ranged with so much DPS, a lot of people will just let the dissy rust. Lasers even have the advantage of not needing lead.

well this would mean the people complaining actually had a brain to go check out modules and xxxx before complaining like little xxxxxxx -.-
i do agree however at t3 the disint is completely useless(even at t2 once your lasers reach 6,5k you will almost NEVER use disint since the handicaps of using it is so majorly big and by not doing so you can provide support modules for your frontline and in reality against people with brain how oftend do you get to do anything noticible at 7+km.) and as empire your basicly flying around WITHOUT an ability on your frigs which is really sad…
it actually needs ALOT of buffing to be anywhere near as good as the other ships (i assume torp have the same issue but at least this have some tactical uses as well. while disint is just purely long range dps with VERY minor utility in energy drain )
but this is one of my big issues with the module tiers, you dont get to use neither utility nor get to have an idea of what will be good/bad and balance is a town in russia untill late t2 late t3 or once you get fully equepped t4 (this takes WAY too long for it to be ok that the feeling of full balance is there first.).
lately i have started to use command ships only due to the mobility being insane compared to the frigs and the fact i own and eat frigs easy mode, you can win 1v2 frigs (if your not unlucky and get double hit by torps) in a command ship and if things go bad you just disengage and gtfo the only way they can kill you is if they got support from smaller ships and even then you can kill 1 frig before dying/fleeing, and doing 1 for 1 kill and occupiering 3-4 people while spitting out 40all resist, 30shield resist and 30% extra dmg to your entire team for a goot 30sec+ of the fight is just pure crazy while you yourself got almost 300resist to all o.O
if you got a support ship with shield repair and armor repair mod within range you can tank/win a 1v4 (not fighting your own setup ofc. if so just kill the inter and frigs and ignore the command ships.)
i actually haven’t touched my FRIG since i started equepping the long range lasers on my commandship, and if you are playing aggressive use short range (highest dps at t2, still crazy at t3) and your still landing at almost 2km range with a burst dps that kills a tanked frig in less then 5 seconds of firing at it, while you can restand WAY too much fire!!
