Tooltip: Automatically locks on to the enemy under the crosshairs when fired. If the target is destroyed before impact, the missile will automatically select the next closest target to track.

Really nice idea! +1.

 

On that note, what do you think about these:

 

  1. ECM missiles that make the enemy shoot his allies for 3-5 seconds? Similar to the Moriarity virus;

  2. alien missiles/mines that have the same effect as the Spy drones (or even Covert ops drones?!), making the enemy visile to anyone for a few seconds? This would be very useful for LRF players i guess.

  3. alien missiles/mines that change the shape of the enemy?! ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”) For example, you shoot a cov-ops and when its hit it turns for 3-5-7 seconds into a … Thar’ga? :)) Then tuns back again. While it “morphs” into the new ship it keeps the original stats (firepower, hull, shield…);

  4. rockets/mines with powerful visual impact: when hit, the enemy keeps exploding, and the effects can be seen from 5-7 km away, even under cloak? A sort of Plasma web style, but much stronger visually;

  5. “Stun” rockets/mines that, when hit, simply froze the target to the place, for a few seconds. These could be useful for team and enemy, for example when an engi tries to heal someone, it’s much easier if it’s stuck to that place (i’m thinking about the repair rockets, but not only).

  6. energy missiles that give … energy, as opposite to the ecm ones that steal? Can be the target, or an area around the hit point.

  7. bullets/rockets/mines that ‘blind’ the enemy? Similar to the White noise jammer? The damage can be lower, as the main purpose is to blind a powerful enemy (like an engi), and stop it from locking/seeing targets? Could last up to 60 seconds, and have very low damage, the main target is blinding, not killing the target.

  8. for engis: missiles that give the target (team mate) +50 resist points (shield and hull) for 10 seconds? Var. 2: similar, but give it +150, for 5 seconds? this would be so nice, targeted before a burst damage or to cancel Inhibitor missile hits ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)
