Mmh… No? It doesn’t make sense to have a rocket shotgun, to me.
Err… No
Well there’s your first problem

Anyway, the idea is cool, but it isn’t needed right now (we already have high damage missiles for big targets, like torps, anomaly and firestorm). Let’s add a flamethrower weapon instead.
But the damage curve for shotgun-type explosives is much greater for small vs large targets so it would make for a very interesting addition to combat.
I don’t know about the rest of you but that is exactly how I use Tempest. Rocket shotgun it is. :006j:
Tempest is a missile battery. Much like cartel versions, only instead of being continuously firing, it functions in pulses. The rocket shotgun would function exactly how it sounds. It would be triggered, then all 12 rockets would fire off simultaneously in the desired direction, spreading outwards at a moderate angle.

Tempest has very little spread, which makes it a terrible shotgun. Do you know how easy it is to land all 25 rockets on a stationary target? Heck, if interceptors ever stopped for long enough, I’d be able to hit all the rockets on them.
