Ship: The "Precursor"

Just a random thought that popped in to my head a while ago. Thought this model would make a nice T5-R15 “Alien-ish” Tackler. Cloaking and re-appearing mysteriously. Very strange looking ship.

“Return Log entry 12-501-41
After a salvage transport was interrupted in-flight we received a strange signal over the comms. Thinking that it was some pirate trying to screw with our machines, my team, Fox Squadron 1, was dispatched to take out the mischievous pilot. Upon arrival there was no sign of either a pirate or our transport. The only remnants of what we thought was our escort ships were a few main computer systems and an abnormally large spectrum of radiation. We returned with the parts and immediately started thumbing through the last few seconds of the data-logs. The only thing that we found was just a glimpse of a strange, crescent-shaped object approaching our vessel then vanishing. The recording went black after that. Assuming that this was a deliberate attack, we went to our science department and they told us that they had seen the same strange ships attacking other allied forces. They had constructed recon-drone a few days back that managed to lock on to one of them and copy it’s ship schematics.”
“Return Log 21-502-41
Upon testing of the duplicated alien attack ship, we noticed that it had a strangely tough hull. We don’t exactly know why it’s hull is so tough, or even what material it is made of; but we do know it would make for excellent use in combat. We could not figure out how to activate it’s shields though, until a pirate squadron tried to take he ship. Upon enemy approach, the “Precursor”, as we’ve started calling it, instantly bubbled up in a shield. The pirates threw a doomsday missile at one of my team meets and when he dodged it, it made direct contact with the Precursor’s shield! After we finished off the pirates and blew the debris away with our engines, the Precursor was still standing and didn’t have a scratch on it. Upon further intrusion in to the ship systems, later that day, we found that the explosion impact activated some sort of rotating module inside the ship that absorbed all of the damage. Further details at 11.”

“A plate from what might be the alien ships’ hull was also recovered upon secondary search of the attacked location.”

Sorry for the potato quality. I’m not exactly an artist.

Is this supposed to be a ship designed on the Y-Axis? Also it would help if you posted different angles and labeled them.

I realize this but it’s too late to draw atm. Will post alternate angles in the morning.

And what go you mean y-axis? If you mean it is vertical, then yes.

The inquister line is built on the X-Axis if that gives you any idea.

Then the Precursor is on the Y-Axis. Simply mirrored on the other side.

This drawing is very potatoe like. XD

Btw… You only need one side view unless both sides are irregular. Have a top, bottom, side, front, back and 2 isometric views.

amazing stuff. its like real alien ship.

red color for this ship would be cool

Looks like a horizontally squished Inquisitor

But I like the concept and like many people I would love to be able to fly mysterious biomorph ships in PVP…

My only concern with a vertical ship design is how badly it would obscure your view. Ships that are very tall will mess with the camera, while very deep ships will make it hard to judge whether you’re going to hit terrain below you or not.

But I do like the concept, and would like to see some aliens under player control.

… Because we need something BIGGER than a Tormentor?

When did anyone say bigger? It’s a fighter, and therefore aboot 1/3 the size.
