Ship Crews/Pilots with perks/passives etc

you are confusing potatos and apple juice, Diablos whole gameplay is progress and farm, thats it. Star conflict is rather Counterstrike in space with added progression system, progress comes second and killing stuf first. If you max everything and find yourself not playing as much, you were playing wrong game all along and wasted alot of time

Hmm, i slightly agree with you. However to say that star conflict is not about leveling and getting the biggest baddest ship is not true. in fact there was a poll done on this in game, and it was fairly even across the boards for what players in-game goals are, (cant remeber exactly what the other options where but it was quite an even poll).

This is mainly an MMO Action, where players control their own spaceships.

Time enjoyed, is not time wasted imo…

And if you think this game grind is bad, you should play WarThunder or World of Tanks.

I’ve played both, they are more grindy if you’re like the OP here and want to own everything because of the sheer number of planes and tanks in those games. But the performance gap between out-of-the-box planes/tanks and fully upgraded ones is generally less than in Star Conflict.

The F2P model used for this game is, but there are other F2P models. Easy examples are Valve’s F2P games which are monetized via cosmetics exclusively, but they’re not the only ones.

More leveling increases the power spread between new players and existing players. Because of that it will always feel like a grind to those trying to catch up.

Currently performance differences between a 1/10 Mk.1 equipped ship and the same ship at 10/10 and Mk.4 equipped are night and day already. Add bonuses from crew on top of that and it goes from bad to worse.

But if both players get crews/pilots bonuses it does not go from bad to worse… it stays the same does it not?

scratch out the pilots… and its the same cause they cancel eachother out. (also im almost certain bonuses are addidtive)

Say what? The new player will have pilot lvl 1 so he not only needs to catch up on synergy and on equipment as he does now but also on pilot level.

Your assuming to much. Your assuming no balance will be implemented, that there is no max pilot level for tier, and the matchmaking will be the same etc.

There will likely be a max level, makes no difference, it’ll still be additional imbalance. And lol matchmaking. They’re not even matching by crew skills in WoT and they would have the player base for that. This game here? never!

Keep WoT’s away from this thread if you can, comparing Star Conflict with WoT is like comparing a ferrari to a shitbox.

LOL, then stop assuming that it’s gonna be like WoT and unbalanced.

Things that overlap with this idea:

 

  • Implants.

  • Great variation between selectable passive and active modules.

 

The “Crew” would only add to this overlapping complexity. While the game could use new features and options, those new options could be implemented to the already existing systems like “Implants” or modules

I like more customization options.

I fear how will they implement it and how much grind/gs sink will they create.
