Seriously, seriously, SERIOUSLY: Dreadnought Timing Information and Interface Improvements

At announcement time:

And clicking it at this time bring you here:

At 22:00 (registration time for Federation Dreadnought [uSA] Timezone)
Clicking the illuminated Conquest button brings you here:

And finally, the “open signup” option illuminates when pubqueueing is finally available.

The playerbase has been asking for this since the  moment  we realized it wasn’t there.

It’s time to finally, FINALLY give us timing information about when to queue for Dreadnoughts, as well as improve the ease of the entire system. Too many players have  no idea  how to queue, what time to do so for registration _or _announcements, and the response we have received so far is “google it.”

This is so completely unacceptable that here’s  another  suggestion thread for this! Complete with me doing all the design work for you. (You may notice I’m a little exasperated by how ridiculous it is to still have to ask for this. Plus my post got bugged so I had to retype the whole thing.)

Note that this change will NOT remove the current announcement method of navigating the Galaxy Map. It will simply provide an alternate, better, and more understandable interface in addition.

I’ll be honest. When I said I was quitting, I meant it. A hefty effort on the Developer’s part convinced me that I should stay and help, but I specifically stated that I would only do so if I felt I could create positive change.

If I can’t get any positive change, I will leave as I said I would. Here is one attempt at said change.

Your support with this idea is appreciated and welcome, as is any constructive discussion on how to improve the idea. Because let’s face it, it’s a question of when, not if, that we finally get this absurdity taken care of.

Yes please +1

They’d best be listening to ya, you’ve got all these smart ideas, and clearly the community is backing you up on it…what more should the devs need, right?

I am not satisifed. I clicked the wrong option.

You can change your vote. Just delete it and then revote. :stuck_out_tongue:

Also the requirements to enter a battle need to be lowered substantially for smaller corporations to be able to use their dreadnoughts.

A topic for another time, though I do agree with the rather ludicrous initial expense of dreadnought construction. But for now this is about the interface.

All of this, but they need to fix servers first. I have constant lag on battle 19:00 CET three days in a row now. Ships moving like on 50 speed, jumping targets, bullets reseting positions. This is unacceptable.

Ketriaava is a genious.  Very well done.

I like this idea. Added to our suggestion list, will discuss it with our interface-guy.

Now I like to imagine that there is a job position at this company called “Interface-Guy”.

Excellent! Thank you. ^^

Who knows, I did tell them I’d be interested in employment opportunities.

In the meantime I’m happy to provide input where I can.

Even better, just give everyone a title related to what they do and call them that ‘man’ (or applicable gender term).

So you’d have Coder-Man, Artist-Man, Interface-Man, and so on.

SUDDENLY, A SUPERHERO TEAM APPEARS!

Don’t forget about the main villain: The Balance-man.

I always knew that there is someone sitting at the computer 24/7 and making teams because sometimes MM seems to be listening to whining. Who is he? Of course the MM-man.  :fed_lol:
